Exciting trip to Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru
I have used other companies before but Hyrax stood out for me. The team was prompt in replying messages and helping us choose the most suitable package. The safari was short but interesting. With the help of John the driver, we managed to see the big five, flamingoes and Savanna vegetation. We took lots of photos in and outside the parks. The prices were friendly and resonable. The Hyrax team went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed the trip. The accommodation at Mara and Nakuru were perfect! I also learnt some Swahili words like "Jambo". I will be back for more trips.

Simply the Best!
The Hyrax team has great communication skills. Rose was fast to respond to mails and messages. We did a group tour in June and the services offered met our expectations. The tour was organized and the driver was friendly. We saw the big five and experienced the popular Wildebeest migration. I loved every bit of the trip. Thank you Hyrax Safaris!

Relible operator with expirinced dreivers/gudies and greate guide Emmah
Safary proved to be a reliable operator with experienced and dedicated drivers and guides. The team was flexible and made sure we were able to see most of the animals we were hoping for, even adjusting plans according to the weather. Our guide, Emmah, was outstanding—open, communicative, friendly, very responsive, and speaking excellent English. The whole team remained calm and professional during unexpected vehicle issues, handling repairs efficiently and still managing to get us to the airport in time for our flights. Their commitment to customer care was evident throughout the trip. The only area for improvement would be to take a more proactive approach to vehicle maintenance to avoid such delays in the future.
Hyrax safari was very responsive
I did 4 day mount Kenya Sirmon-Chogoria route with Hyrax safari. The guide and rest of the team were amazing. The first day is a quick 2 hour hike, the second day we walked for around 6 hours and the camp there was beautiful. The third day was hard as we walked for over 10 hours and honestly at a very high speed. The last day was 1 hour hike. Mount Kenya is amazing, the landscape unique. Everything went well but i would say that i would have preferred the third day to be split in two and have more rest to enjoy the views. All in all was a great experience and the team were very nice.

Firstly, about Hyrax safari. We would like to thank them for their service. Special thanks to Irene for helping us plan the safari and being very responsive and cooperative.
Secondly about our guide Jim. Thanks a lot for your services. He was very cooperative, patient and knowledgeable about animals. He was an excellent driver and got us out of some crazy traffic and roads safely. He was also very flexible and patient with time and accommodated all our requests. He gave us all the time we wanted with the animals and did not rush us in anyway. In conclusion, he made sure we got the most out of our time and and was very professional.
Lastly, few hiccups to mention for Hyrax safari.
1)maybe vehicles could be slightly better condition. We had some trouble 1-2 times with it.
2) All accomodations were excellent. Just one surprise was that the Amboseli Sopa lodge was about about 45 mins away from the gate, which one should consider if they want to do early morning game drive and see the sunrise in the park.
3) Timings mentioned in the itinerary are kind of a ball park and you should generally consider 2-3 hours buffer while traveling.
All in all, Hyrax Safari completely met our expectations and our safari experience was amazing!
