Your 7-day Uganda wildlife Gorillas and Chimpanzees experience will begin with our guide picking you up from the Airport or your hotel in Entebbe and transferring to Murchison Falls National Park via Kampala-Luwero-Masindi route with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos.
Thereafter, you'll proceed to Murchison Falls National Park via the top of the falls and finally head to the tour lodge for an overnight stay, while enjoying an evening game drive, depending on the time of arrival in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2

Early Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Nile River

You'll have breakfast by 6 am. Thereafter, proceed to the wilderness in search of the early morning raisers. The morning game drive starts at about 6:30 am. Look out for animals such as the giraffes, lions, hyenas, waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, many species of birds such as egrets, ibis, shoebill stock, marabou stock, king fisher, egrets to mention but a few. As you have your game drive, you may relax and have a picnic on the riverbank as you listen to the groans of the Hippos.

Have an afternoon boat cruise, which is spectacular as it allows you to get up close to the aquatic animals such as: the hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, elephants, etc. Among the birds commonly sited on the boat cruise are the goliath heron, kingfisher, weaver birds, bee-eaters, cattle egrets, and the beautiful scenery along the bank. You will then return to the boat station, and either proceed to the top of the falls, in case you missed it the previous day, or end with an evening game drive.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You'll check out of your accommodation in Murchison Falls National Park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
The drive from Murchison Falls National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes 7-9 hours, driving through the Hoima to Fort Portal highway.

You will enjoy views of the Rift Valley escarpment around Lake Albert and beautiful scenery along the way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a stopover at the Kikorongo equator monument for a photo moment before checking into your lodge.

You relax and have an overnight stay in the park, lying at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Tracking, Boat Cruise and Evening Game Drive

You'll wake up early and have morning breakfast, join your driver-guide, and proceed to the starting point of Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee Trekking, and receive a briefing by the park rangers or guides.

Briefing: You will have a briefing by the park guides, and then a Chimpanzee walk in the gorge. Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge can be a little bit strenuous, and a certain level of fitness is required. When you find the Chimps, you will spend one hour with them before you retire to your lodge

After the experience, transfer to the lodge for a hot lunch or enjoy your packed lunch as you wait to proceed to the starting point for your afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will spot various birdlife and wildlife. Finally, you'll enjoy a late evening game drive and return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Early morning, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive you through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the countryside in Kisoro to the south in Kisoro. You arrive in the late afternoon and check into your accommodation.
Along the way, you will enjoy views of several tea plantations, rolling hills, banana plantations, etc.

Day 6

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Batwa Community Visit

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Batwa Community Visit

You will have an early morning breakfast. Thereafter, you'll be transferred by your driver guide to the park headquarters, where park rangers will brief you about the regulations for gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Also, you will be divided into a group of 8 visitors. You will be led by a ranger to start trekking with these gentle giants. After you encounter these gentle giants, you are allowed to spend an hour with these magnificent mountain gorillas close up in their natural habitat. Principally, hikers will love the trek in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. But overall, this will be a unique and unforgettable experience! After the gorilla trek, you will be given a certificate for completing a gorilla trek in Uganda/bwindi then transferred back to your lodge.
You will have an afternoon Batwa community visit to experience the forest life of the Batwa (Pygmy people).

You will check out of your accommodation in Bwindi forest and get ready to transfer through the misty hills of southern Uganda back to Entebbe for your departure or for an overnight.

The transfer from Bwindi forest to Entebbe takes 8-9 hours, depending on the traffic.
