Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a Benson Safaris Tanzania driver and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be spent at your leisure. You may rest in your room, relax in the manicured gardens, enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, or explore the surrounding area on one of our optional day tours. The choice is yours!

Day 2

After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a morning safari at Nairobi National Park, where you may spot lions, zebras, and antelopes against the city skyline. Later, you will also visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to meet playful baby elephants and learn how they are cared for and protected. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a scenic spot before heading to the Giraffe Centre for close-up encounters and photography with these endangered giants. The day ends with a return to your hotel to rest and prepare for an early start the next day.

Day 3

Leave the busy city and drive along the scenic Trans-African Highway en route to Lake Nakuru, with an optional stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. Upon arrival in Nakuru, you will check in at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and relax. Later, go on a game drive focusing on rhinos, one of Nakuru’s prized and endangered species, before returning to the lodge for the night.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will check out and start your drive to the Masai Mara along a scenic route, with a break for lunch on the way. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive until evening, then return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Today, you will venture deeper into the heart of the Masai Mara on game drives. You will also have the option of taking part in an exciting hot air balloon safari over the Mara. We can discuss this once you arrive and make arrangements for any optional activities.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Kenya–Tanzania border and complete immigration formalities. Continue through northern Tanzania toward the Serengeti, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. In the afternoon, you will enter the Serengeti and enjoy wildlife sightings as you make your way to your camp for the evening.

Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti, following wildlife across the golden plains as your guide helps you track the Big Five and witness the park’s rich animal activity. Enjoy unhurried game drives, stunning scenery, and plenty of opportunities for exceptional photography before returning to your camp for a relaxing evening under the African sky.

Today you will enjoy another full-day game drive as you travel between the Northern and Central Serengeti. You have the flexibility to create your own itinerary. You can spend a full day in the Northern Serengeti before driving to the Central Serengeti or enjoy a half-day game drive in both the Northern and Central areas. The choice is yours.

Day 9

Today you will be rewarded with a visit to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and is one of the only places on Earth where humans and wild animals coexist in harmony.
The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for some of Africa’s best game viewing, as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Upon arrival at the crater rim, you will descend 610 meters into the crater, where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, and giant tusked elephants.
The crater also has one of the largest populations of lions, and you may also find leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals, and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including white pelicans and flamingos.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Arusha.
