Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a Benson Safaris Tanzania driver and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be spent at your leisure. After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a morning safari at Nairobi National Park, where you may spot lions, zebras, and antelopes against the city skyline. Later, you will also visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to meet playful baby elephants and learn how they are cared for and protected. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a scenic spot before heading to the Giraffe Centre for close-up encounters and photography with these endangered giants. The day ends with a return to your hotel to rest and prepare for an early start the next day.

Leave the busy city and drive along the scenic Trans-African Highway en route to Lake Nakuru, with an optional stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. Upon arrival in Nakuru, you will check in at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and relax. Later, go on a game drive focusing on rhinos, one of Nakuru’s prized and endangered species, before returning to the lodge for the night.

Today you will be rewarded with a visit to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and is one of the only places on Earth where humans and wild animals coexist in harmony.

The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for some of Africa’s best game viewing, as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Upon arrival at the crater rim, you will descend 610 meters into the crater, where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, and giant tusked elephants.

The crater also has one of the largest populations of lions, and you may also find leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals, and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including white pelicans and flamingos.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Arusha.
