I saw many many more animals than I ever thought I would.

I went in November, which borders on the rainy season. It was overcast much of the time, which was good. It kept us cool, and it did get hot when the sun came out. There are so many animals. In the middle of the night, I would hear constant noises from animals, near and far, all directions. The only protection was our tent, which is a little scary, but exciting at the same time. There was a giraffe grazing among the trees about a 50 years from our tent on afternoon. We almost witnessed a kill by a cheetah, but the she stopped upon hearing its young cry from its mother. We did see a carcass of a gazelle in the trees with two leopards. The next morning, they were nowhere in sight. The number of animals I saw was surreal. It was an amazing experience that I recommend to everyone.

The Serengeti is one of the most famous areas in Africa, and has the crowds to prove it. Though the front areas of the park were a little crowded for my taste, once we got further north and away, we saw unrivaled amounts of game. We were blessed with some late afternoon rainstorms, which brought even more animals out, and made everything seem so much more lush. Being in the Serengeti is like living in a photograph or painting, as we have all seen the famous landscapes at some point or another. There is more game there than most of us could ever see. Definitely worth a visit, but you might want to consider going at a time other than the high season.

While Serengeti National Park is spectacular and beautiful in its own way, the fact that Klein's Camp is located outside of the National Park where they have even more possibilities (and less regulations) to view wildlife you almost can't compare them. We have seen a lot of beautiful scenery and a lof of different animals, but at the Serengeti National Park you really have to be lucky to see some animals, because you're not allowed to go of the path. Still I think you should also visit this vast & wonderful park where you can have great drives.

Vast plains, huge concentrations of wildlife. The great migration of course. If you want to see as much as possible, go here. All the big cats, all the undulates. Great landscapes, koppies and oasis like rivers. Downsides are the amount of tourists. You see many vehicles standing around a group of lions or that cheetah.
