Easy communication and fantastic experiences
The trip was great! It was a really good experience and I really enjoyed all aspects of the trip. The guide, Tulimo, was fantastic and I couldn’t recommend him enough. There were only two other guests on the tour, but he made sure that it was always a lot of fun, and had a lot of interesting knowledge. The accommodation was also all fantastic, no complaints at all in that regard. The Hoada Campsite on Day 5 was switched for another one, but the switched camp site was probably the best of them all! All the experiences were highly enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed climbing the dunes in the desert. In Swakopmund I did both the skydiving and sand boarding, which were a lot of fun, (but cost extra, although very worth it!). Overall though, it was a fantastic trip and very good value for money too. Thank you very much for organising it! I even got home in time to avoid the hotel quarantine, which caused a lot of stress!

Amazing!
Well, where should I begin? We booked with Ines from Indigo Safaris. She did a great job and as some things didn’t work out at first step, she solved it out of her own holiday very quickly so we could enjoy every minute of our stay.
We had an incredible 8 night camping Safari, starting with 2 nights in Kasane, one night camping at chobe river front, followed by 2 nights camping in savuti and 2 nights camping in khwai before heading to Maun for one last night at the backpacker. The camp sites were wonderful, especially the one in khwai right next to the river, where a tall elephant came to the camp to great us. We have seen so many animals ( jackals, hyenas, leopard, wild cat, honey badger, hippos, Buffalo, giraffe….) in savuti we found even a pride of 15 Lions and followed them to the waterhole watching them drinking water and relaxing for a long time. The whole trip was great, the tents and bedding comfortable, the car spacious. But best of all was the crew. Joseph, our guide was unbelievable in reading body language of the animals and found so many interesting animals for us. He always gave lots of information about what we just saw - as well as about animals as vegetation. At the camp fire he was telling interesting stories about everything. We enjoyed every minute with him. Team-members were also Prince and System, travelling with a second car with the tents and kitchen stuff - always a bit ahead so everything was prepared when we arrived after the Safari at the camp. Prince the Chef - what he did over camp fire I can‘t do at home in this quality. Pizza, bread, spaghetti, meat, salad - everything was delicious! They got up really early in the morning to prepare breakfast and even the salads for lunch when we had whole day trips. Don’t know when they found time to sleep. System took care of everything at the camp and the atmosphere between all of them was so good, we felt really comfortable.
Spending the nights in a tent in the wilderness, hearing all the different sound was so exiting! For us, it was the best experience ever. The only bad thing, we only booked those 8 nights - it should have been much longer! So if you get the chance to go to Botswana doing a Safari, choose a camping one and try to get such a great team as we had. Thanx Joseph, Prince and System for this wonderful journey!

AMAZING experience driving from South to North !!!
We spent 12 amazing days in Namibia thanks to Ines that took care of everything: she rented our 4x4, did our program and booked all of our accomodation + transfer.
Ines was available at any time if we had a question/ request.
It’s now very difficult to travel with COVID, but Ines make it very easy by including in our itinerary stops for our PCR test.
It was amazing to travel trough Namibia discovering the dunes of Sossuvlei, Fish River Canyon but also doing our safari by our own in Etosha.
We were VERY VERY VERY surprised about the quality of all the lodges/ guesthouses that Ines booked for us. Every lodge was very clean, the staff very nice and the restaurant delicious.
I recommend INDIGO SAFARI if you want to discover Africa and especially Namibia.
We ended our holidays with 2 days in the Victoria Falls and it was also amazing.
Thank you Ines,
Thank INDIGO SAFARI

Indigo Safaris planned the perfect vacation!! Best trip ever!!
We will 100% use Indigo Safaris again!! They were recommended to us by a family friend and I could not be happier with the trip Ines planned for us! Her communication was so timely and professional. I asked so many questions, and Ines always answered each one. This trip felt so personal and tailored to our family and was absolutely perfect for our first time in South Africa. Ines is a phenomenal agent and went above and beyond to make our trip extra special! My mom has trouble walking and it's hard for her to get in and out of taller vehicles, like the safari jeep. Through communication with Ines, she made sure the lodge knew exactly what my mom needed and the lodge did an amazing job making everything easily accessible for her. Everything was set up and ready upon arrival. On top of that, my brother and his girlfriend got engaged on our trip and it could not have been more perfect. Indigo Safaris set everything up with the lodge beforehand, so my brother didn't have to stress about it. The entire trip from beginning to end was just amazing! We never worried about anything, because there was always someone there helping us along the way. From transfers, to accommodations, to meals, everything went so smoothly, and that is all thanks to Ines and the Indigo Safari team! Indigo Safaris has an amazing team who are so knowledgeable and helpful! I highly highly recommend letting Indigo Safaris plan your perfect Africa trip!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Trip of a lifetime!!!! Book with Indigo Safaris, you won't be disappointed!

Dream come True - 19 day Namibian/Victoria Falls/Botswana Adventure
We would happily recommend indigo safaris to organise your holiday. We had a few ideas on what we would like to do, the accommodation type and travelling we were happy with, but were struggling to put it all together. Ines responded quickly to our request, and sent us ideas on how to collate our trip to Namibia, Victoria falls and Botswanna. We exchanged a few e mails, and, everything fell into place very easily. Payment was simple through a gb account.
Our trip turned out to be be far better than we imagined. Everything went smoothly apart from a delayed flight with Namibian Airways. Our guide Rudi was a star throughout our tour of Namibia. He had a passion for his country and its peoples and wild life which he shared with us throughout our trip. We always felt safe in his care, and he went out of his way to help us enjoy our first visit to Africa. His knowledge of his country was extensive and we were sad to see our trip come to an end. Expect very bumpy roads and long days, with early starts but it was worth every bump to experience such diversity. The landscape is stunning.
After leaving Namibia, we flew to Victoria Falls, which is needless to say a must see. The sunset cruise on the Zambezi is lovely, but our early morning experience of a lion encounter was incredible. It's a must do.
We flew into the Okovango delta in a light aircraft and stayed two nights at Odd balls camp. If you want to have time out this is the place to go! The delta was very low on water but we enjoyed the trekking walks with our guide who again was a fountain of knowledge. We were lucky enough to come across lions on our very last morning.
Thank you Ines, it's been an amazing Trip. Your help and guidance made it happen.

Good experience! recommended!
In general I am very happy satisfied with the "fish eagle" 10 nights trip, whole new experience, safari itself exceeded my expectation, the guide and chef are very professional, which made the trip unforgettable, I recommend! .... only very small remark, it could be better to tell the participants there is no need to buy drinking water since there is a filter system in the car, as well as the rent of sleeping bag could be charged at the beginning together with the Safari fee
Indigo isn't making trips to Namibia by themselves
I've found the nice reviews of Indigo Safaris looking for a trip to Namibia. To my enquiry about the price for "6-DAY SAFARI & DESERT EXPERIENCE - GROUP ACCOMMODATED" with additional 2 nights pre- and post tour and airport transfer I got 21900 NAD. Only after asking isn't it the tour that costs "from 15720 NAD" (according to indigosafaris.com) we ended with 17800 NAD with additional percentage for paying by card and for conversion to EUR. We corresponded quite long and a had a feeling that something not said. Only after asking direct about the group size, Corinne Bly whom I communicated with, wrote it was not a trip of Indigo Safaris. The tour was good, the guide - perfect, but decide yourself if there's sense to pay commissions for a dealer, - or just look for Chameleon Safaris (or anybody else) when going to Namibia... And it's recommended to ask about the max group size and max places in the vehicle (we were 8 what was optimum, - for the maximal group of 12 the vehicle wouldn't be convenient)

Posted on May 23, 2019Hi Zivile, thank you for booking with us and leaving a review. Let me deal with your points.
We never claim to operate the tours we sell in Namibia, as a travel agent we sell tours that we have tried and tested, and we NEVER add anything on to the tour price. If the local operator sells at 17800 Namibian dollars, we sell at 17800 Namibian dollars. We make our margin by buying it at a discounted rate, just like any retailer.
The 15720 price was the rate that ended 31 March 2019, and was still current when you made your enquiry, but you booked a tour departing after that date, hence the difference in price. Most tours have seasonal rates. Hence the 17800 rate for the standard tour after 1 April 2019 is the correct price, and understandably adding extra nights and services increases the cost.
By booking through us, you get a range of different locally operated tours to choose from, all trusted partners, with the safety of booking through an international travel specialist. On top of that we can offer a range of extensions and combinations that local partners do not, with completely impartial advice, all combined into one invoice, saving our clients the trouble and cost of making multiple international payments as we can take payment in a range of currencies (USD, GBP, AUD, EUR, ZAR) all at no cost if you pay by bank transfer to one of the currency accounts above. If you choose to pay by card though the secure third party portal we use, the cost varies from 1.4 to 2.9% depending on the currency chosen and the domicile of your card.
Unlike banks and credit card companies, we do not charge a conversion fee or a foreign transaction fee (typically 3%). The rate we use is the rate we buy the foriegn currency at, which is about 1.5% off the mid-market or interbank exchange rate on xe.com, that no bank actually gives, and is generally better by 1.5 to 2% than most high street banks. So our clients get the best exchange rate possible, and if they bank in one of the currencies above, typically they have no bank transfer fee to pay.
Nothing is ever "not said". If you ask about group size for example, we tell you. It is even stated quite clearly in the itinerary on this website. As you wrote here, you asked about the group size she told you. When clients book they all recieve the name and contact details of our partner in-country, as you did. I'm sorry you feel that somehow being given all the information you asked fo
and being given a choice of cost-effective payment methods downgraded the experience you describe as having a perfect guide and an optimum sized group to. 3 out of 5.

Christopher arranged an excellent trip to Namibia - couldn't be more pleased.
Christopher at Indigo arranged an excellent trip. The information on the site was accurate and he addressed all questions with almost immediate turnaround. Payment was a breeze. From arrival to departure, everything was top-notch and smooth. I went with a camping option with one part safari and second part desert. Namibia was spectacular. The guides and company Christopher arranged were excellent, professional and clearly vetted on the ground by him. Etosha NP and Sossusvlei were fantastic destinations with well appointed and managed campsites by the national park service. Separate accommodation in Windhoek was lovely in nice, small guesthouses. Would strongly recommend having Indigo book your next trip to Namibia. Go see the rhinos before they're gone!

Incredible Trip
My wife and I had never been to Africa before, and it was also our first trip with Indigo Safaris. The pre-trip communication was great, including fine tuning lodging and other expectations. The lodging was exactly what we were looking for. We knew ahead of time what to expect, the exact itinerary, and any additional costs. We had incredible opportunities for photography and sightseeing, as well as having very nice lodging and meals at reasonable process. We can’t say that any one specific part was a standout, since it was all fantastic. However, some of our favorite places were the Namib Naukluft National Park including the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, Brandberg White Lady, Madisa Camp, Etosha National Park and Okonjima, home of the Africats Foundation. We saw all of the wildlife that you would hope for and took some great shots, day and night.
We were fortunate to have the owner, Christopher Bartlett, along on the trip, in addition to his senior safari consultant, Ines Moosmann. We were able to take advantage of their extensive knowledge of the nature and culture of the area, in addition to Christopher’s significant knowledge of photography. They provided an enjoyable atmosphere for the trip, and at a competitive price. We will not hesitate to go with them again when we return to Africa.
