An amazing time
5/5

World Air Tours, and their guide, John, really delivered a great time. Six adults, ten days, five-two lions, two black rhinos, five leopards and uncounted elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, etc. etc. We stayed at two wonderful lodges and two comfortable tent camps. The food was always good and plentiful. We really enjoyed having meals with John and learning about his life, his family and his country. The Safari was truly like nothing we've ever done and are so happy that World Air Tours put together a flawless trip. Thank you!

7-Day Magical Encounter Of Big Five Safari
5/5

We spent 7 unforgettable safari days in Tanzania.
After visiting Kenya and South Africa, there was no visit to the Tanzanian parks, this time we organized ourselves, both air and safari transfers, I contacted World Air Travel and Tours directly, in the person of Elias already from February, we have agreed on the itinerary and the dates, we have often written in these months to better define the whole holiday and I must say that Elias has always been kind and diligent in the answers.
Upon arrival in Tanzania we met Joshua, our guide throughout the week, the safari included in the order the following parks: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
The safari was tiring because we opted to make the most of the day, without stopping at the lodge for lunch, eating in the bag every day, this resulted in 10 hours a day off-road, but it was worth it, the safari was fabulous, we saw everything there was to see.
We have admired countless predators and hundreds of other species, a complete safari thanks to Joshua, always available, has fulfilled all our requests and even beyond, very good!
What else to say, a safari to recommend, suitable for tourists who want to admire the beauty that only Africa can give you, organized very well.
Thanks again Elias and Joshua for letting us have a unique experience!

A trip of a lifetime
5/5

World Air Travel planned and carried out one of the best trips we have ever had. Elias at their office in Arusha liaised with us constantly and gave us a wonderful tour of four parks. Our guide, John, was brilliant and became a teacher and friend. We will never forget our trip and this was really due to the company and its efficient planning. We would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone. Thank you again Elias and John.

The tour was spectacular from start to finish
5/5

My initial contact with this contact was Elias Njenga, who helped me customize a tour addressing the interests of my family of 5. We have gone on many "soft" adventure tours, and thanks to Elias, this was the most seamless trip of all. We were upgraded several times at no cost to us. The accomodations were superb, much nicer than we ever imagined. We started in Kenya, went to Tanzania and finished in Zanzibar. Each leg of the tour was spectacular. We saw an incredible number of animals from our very first day. Our guides were professional, personable and knowledgeable. The pop-up vehicles were very comfortable and all 3 guides were great drivers. This is a small company who delivers more than they promise and do so expertly. Their trips are reasonably priced and I would not hesitate to use them again if we are able to return to Africa. I have recommended them to many of my closest friends and colleagues. My deepest appreciation to them for a job well done !

The review below is the personal opinion of Peter & Pytsje and not that of SafariBookings.
Poor service
1/5

We had a great safari in Seregeti , Ngorongoro and Tarangire! We saw a lot of animals and had a great guide. But we would definitely not recommend to go whit World Air Travel & Tours in Arusha. On the first day or care broke down after 30 minutes. All day the guide tried to fix the car but it broke down five times. He managed to drive to the gate of the Serengeti but then the car was totally broken.
All cars break down some day. The roads are poor so this things happen. no problem. But World Air Travel & Tours laid all the time about the solution. There say they had sent a another car and it will arrive soon. After all the other car arrived 14 hours after they told us he would.
So we missed the first day and half of or second day. On a safari of four days this is a lot so we asked about a compensation. we paid a lot of money fore the safari (6 persons 4days and $900,- per person). We missed more than 1/4 of the safari. They offer us an extra day in the Serengeti for $130 a person or get a refund of $ 30,- per person. Even after hard bargaining this was their final offer.
Very pour solution and very bad compensation. If ever tithing is going to plan it is no problem to go whit World Air Travel & Tours . But if there is a problem after you paid, it’s your problem.

Hello Peter & Pytsje,
Thank you for taking your time to review us on safari bookings. Your feedback is highly appreciated.

First we would like to apologize once again for the unfortunate car break on your safari day one. The car broke in between Ngorongoro and Serengeti and as you realized, the condition of the road in between the two is in not even bad but terrible condition. The incident was unfortunate one and one that John your driver could not have avoided. On the same road incident like this one are very common. You will remember that right from the time the incident happened, the office in Arusha was on top of the situation and we acted with speed and did all the best to resolve the situation. We were on the phone with the group leader at most of the time updating the group on what we were doing to resolve the situation.

We apologize once again for the delayed wait at the Serengeti gate while we tried to look for an alternative transport. The break happened in the middle of almost nowhere and an instant response was a challenge since it was kilometers away. It was not easy to find a rescue vehicle and we got very lucky that the Serengeti park authorities were the only one that came to our rescue to help drive you to the camp for the night while we sent another vehicle from Arusha for the next part of the trip. We made calls to almost all lodges and camps but their vehicles were on duty. We paid for the rescue service and advised the driver to make stops at all points of interests to make sure you did not loose the whole day which according to your itinerary was just drive straight to Serengeti.

Secondly, yes there was a 14 hours wait until the second vehicle arrived and we were very concerned and troubled by it. As we explained to the group, we sent the vehicle after the breakdown happened but due to the long drive from Arusha, the second driver did not make on time to the Ngorongoro gate by 18.00hrs when they close the gate until the 6.00AM of the next day. This we explained to the group why the delay was long overnight. We made calls to Ngorongoro authorities to allow our vehicle to go past even after the 18.00hrs deadline but we were not allowed. They sighted security reasons which they are very strict on. Our rescue driver spent the night near Ngorongoro and we agreed with the park authorities that the next morning he would be allowed at 04.00AM so that he could make it to Serengeti to handover the vehicle for the next day game drive. At 4AM the driver was at the gate but there was no ranger, we again made calls at that night to wake them and when they came, again they sighted that we had to wait until the clerks came to make the necessary paper works. It was disturbing even to us and only at 6.00AM the clerks came to allow the driver go through.
The driver arrived at your camp at 9.30AM and you immediately started the game drive for the whole day contrary to your feedback that you lost half of the second day. The lost time was 3 hours on this day.
The driver did his best to extended the game drive hours on that evening to cover the lost hours the previous day. On that morning before the vehicle arrived we tried our best to find another vehicle to continue game drive while you waited for the vehicle to arrive but all our contacts had schedule's that morning. We were ready to pay an extra for it.
The next day you were to drive to Ngorongoro for game drive after breakfast but we offered an early game drive again to cover the lost hours.

From the second day everything went perfect as planned and apart from the delay on the first day and morning of the second day the trip was amazing and in terms of guiding and service the paper feedback from the group was very good.

We were very concerned with the incident from the first minute and if there was a quicker way to resolve the incident we would have done it to make sure you enjoy the adventure. It was long distance to send a another car on time and the challenges we encountered before the car arrived were beyond our control. The way we responded was the only prompt way we could have done it.
The extra game drives on the rest of the days were to cover the lost hours and the $30 we gave back was a show of how greatly the management was concerned.

I want to convey our sincere thanks to you for giving us an opportunity to serve you. It was a great pleasure hosting you for the adventures and exploration of Northern Tanzania.Thank you for letting us know about the negatives and positives on our service, it really help us serve you and others better.
By giving us feedback, you are providing us with valuable information that will help us improve our services. Your feedback was highly appreciated.

Regards,
World Air Travel and Tour team.

World Air Travel and Tours

When you want to mark something off your bucket or wish list you do your research. I researched and requested itineraries (and quotes) from 10 different tour companies. I knew what we wanted and that was a safari to go down as our best family vacation ever and a few nights on a beach just for fun and relaxation. World Air Travel and Tours delivered this and SO much more. They also provided a “tip sheet” that helped us make sure we were appropriately packed with everything we may need and made the VISA (immigration) process so smooth. Their communication and detailed itinerary matched every aspect of our safari and Zanzibar beach fun! Our guide, John, went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. John answered all our questions, pulled out books to show us more about what we were seeing, entertained our 12 year old who asked more questions than 4 children combined, and never pressured us and gave us time to enjoy his beautiful country (Tanzania). We visited Tarangire National Park, L. Manyara N. Park, Serengeti (2 nights camping too on the Serengeti), and Ngorongoro (crater). We spent 2 nights on the Serengeti and woke to sounds of the animals and saw different ones also right from our tent! The links World Air Travel and Tours provided to us matched the places we were going and staying at. Everything was up to date and current. The food was diverse and so good also. Our kids loved the food and for the 12 days we were there never once asked for their technology! At the end of our safari World Air Travel and Tours also coordinated our beach family time in Zanzibar. They arrange a driver, room, air travel, and provided everything we needed to relax and enjoy the beach! I would recommend this company to ANYONE who wants a memorable experience. The memories that they helped us achieve will stay with us forever

Incredible experience!
5/5

My mom and I had a fantastic 9 day safari + 5 day Zanzibar experience. Elias was so patient with us - he answered every question we had via email promptly and in detail.

Rajubu was our safari guide, and he was very knowledgeable about the animals. He was also the best driver ever!!! It takes a lot of will power to drive for so many hours a day on such bumpy roads. Rajubu made sure we were safe and that we were having fun :)

We saw so many animals - lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, wildebeests, etc! Unfortunately didn't see rhinos, but we did see a mom lion carrying her newborn cub in her mouth from one rock to another. Also saw a bunch of lions eating a zebra which was pretty gross and cool.

Overall, excellent trip. Here were the highlights:
-Serengeti (you need 2 full days to see everything)
-Lake Manyara - worth it to see different scenery of trees and birds
-Ngorongoro - was supposed to see rhinos here so kind of disappointing that we didn't see them; but the landscape is nice and you see lots of zebras up close

In terms of lodging:
-Maramboi Tented Camp - just WOW. Incredibly beautiful, zebras in your backyard, such kind staff, and the flamingo walking tour by Lake Manyara is a must!
-Kenzan Tented Camp - best food of the trip was here, staff was so attentive and kind
-Ngorongoro Farm House - the best fresh vegetables I have ever eaten in my life - I had literally 6 bowls of salad one night; take the coffee / plant tour too
-Sunshine Marine Lodge (Zanzibar) - this place is all about relaxation; the passion fruit juice is so good; also you must take a snorkeling trip with Dive Point (located in the hotel); hotel is really beautiful, but you have to walk / take a car to the private beach
-Emerson on Hurumzi (Stone Town) - such a beautiful hotel, but it is in the middle of town so you will hear praying during the day and very early morning

Overall, I would recommend World Air Travel and Tours to everyone I know! Elias and Rajubu made sure we had the trip of a lifetime!

15 day Taste of Northern Tanzania
5/5

A wonderful trip - should be on everyone's bucket list. Elias, manager at World Air, was totally responsive from day 1 and our guide (recommended to us by other travelers with World Air), John, was superb - experienced, aware and a pleasure to spend time with.

This trip was excellent value and I was pleasantly surprised and even amazed (on a couple of occasions) at the accommodations. Of course, the reason for the safari is the animals and we saw uncountable numbers, including the Big Five. The people we met in Tanzania were uniformly courteous and friendly.

Amazing trip which was well organized and great guide!
5/5

Elias helped arrange a 2 week tour throughout Tanzania for my dad and I. It was an amazing trip and the accomodations were generally really outstanding for that price. We saved a lot vs booking with an American provider. We had a guide named John who was really great and was recommended to us by another group. Definitely recommended!

16 Day Custom Safari + Zanzibar
5/5

I worked with Elias at World Air Travel & Tours for a little over a year customizing a 16 Day Safari + Zanzibar trip for my wife and I. It was a trip covering Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti National Park as well as Zanzibar. It was a great trip, that we will remember forever, and very happy that we went with World Air.

I have traveled extensively throughout the world, and worked with various travel companies, but the service Elias and World Air Travel & Tours offered was honestly the best experience I have ever had in booking a trip. Some may consider me quite high maintenance, but Elias was always there to offer various suggestions and alternatives that fit my budget and trip timeframe. He understood it was a big purchase for us and had great patience in dealing with us (for over a year). We frequently communicated via Skype on a weekly basis, as I had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure it was perfect.

The Safari itself was fantastic! We went with their Game Driver, Focus John, who had been in the field for 20+ years. My wife and I were always very impressed when we were in the Serengeti, as he always was able to read what the animals would do, or where they would go before, so we always had the perfect viewing spot. Sometimes the Lions walked right next to the car. We even got lucky with viewing the Black Rhino because of his skills. It did not seem that the other companies/drivers had the same caliber of guide. Focus was great, and always accommodating all of our requests. They even stocked a mini fridge in the safari truck with Tanzanian beers for me. Nice touch!

In regards to pricing, I did of course compare prices for the same itinerary including all the hotels that we handpicked with competing companies and they all came back much higher then what Elias was able to offer me, and never with the same level or customer service. Therefore it was an easy decision for us, and very thankful for the great experience they provided. If i’m fortunate enough to ever go back to the area, I will of course use them again and can recommend to anyone looking for a great safari and fantastic service.
