The services of this travel agency have changed my perception of Africa
5/5

The cost-effectiveness is very good. I thought it would be a cheap group, so I didn't have any expectations. But the actual experience was very good. Every itinerary was arranged very thoughtfully and thoughtfully, with good safety. The service staff had a very easy-going attitude, which made people feel happy both physically and mentally

The best
5/5

Perfect organization, we are very satisfied – fast service, excellent attitude. We chose the budget option and yet the conditions were simply wonderful. We saw many animals, had a perfect driver, and enjoyed very tasty, well-provided food. Everything was at an exceptionally high level.

Experience of a lifetime
5/5

Communication was great, there were some hiccups but the company always made me feel comfortable and taken care of.

Be mindful that this is a budget safari and you will get budget accommodations, if you are comfortable with that, you will have a great experience because the safari makes it well worth it!

Present from my arrival until departure
5/5

I had a positive experience with Ari. She was very attentive and patient with all my pre-arrival questions. She is professional and kind.

My tour was magical and enjoyable. The driver was responsible and funny.

I fell ill on the trip and she saw to my care, coordinating a pharmacy run and recovery day.

Highly recommend

Good communication and was exactly what I wanted.

The tour I booked was excellent. I did the 9 day tour in Masai Mara and Serengeti. Both amazing places with plenty of wildlife. Good food and fantastic people. Would definitely go again.

Amazing Safari in terms of Wildlife , experience in group not what I expected.
4/5

This wasn’t my first time in Africa, as I’ve done several safaris before—but always private tours.
What was new this time was joining a GROUP TOUR with other travelers: my family of three and five additional people. I liked the idea of sharing the experience with others.

ARIPHINE TOUR organized everything for us, nothing to complain about.

I would like to emphasize that this was my personal experience and my following review is based on what Arephine Tour and Safaris organized for us when TRAVELLING WITH A GROUP.

1) I was surprised to find that when you travel in group not all of us were staying in the same lodge. Sometimes the lodges were up to half an hour apart, which meant very early mornings for some of us just to pick up the rest of the group. This often delayed our entrance into the parks, so we rarely started earlier than 7:30–8:00 am and back in the lodge around 5pm . This was disappointing, as the best times to see animals are the first hour in the morning and the last hour before sunset.

2) We chose the budget, but “budget” should not mean poor quality. None of the lodges we were originally indicated were available; we were placed in alternatives that were inferior. I would strongly recommend spending a bit more to secure the accommodation you actually choose, rather than relying on “or similar” options.

Seeing wildlife is always incredible, but what truly makes the difference is having a guide who engages with the group, shares knowledge, and allows you to fully enjoy the moment. Unfortunately, our guide John often seemed in a rush to move from one sighting to another, which didn’t allow us to fully experience what we were seeing. Our driver, John… well… he was often distracted by his phone or social media, which affected the quality of the experience. This was not only my own impression it was shared by the rest of the group too. He had the knowledge of animals and birds, but his attention was frequently elsewhere, so questions from the group were answered only briefly.

Visiting places like Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Nakuru is always wonderful because of the wildlife itself.
That said, in hindsight I would have chosen a private tour for a fully satisfying experience. Group tours can work well if you are very very flexible, easy-going, and open to adjustments, but for those seeking a higher-quality experience, a private safari is definitely worth it.

Despite the challenges, seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat is unforgettable, and the trip still offered moments of true magic. Next time we come back we will still contact Ariphine Tour but choose a private tour :-)

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review of your recent safari with Ariphine Tour and Safaris. We truly appreciate your continued trust in us, especially as a returning traveler to Africa.
We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the incredible wildlife experiences in Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Nakuru—these destinations never fail to create unforgettable moments, and we’re glad you were able to witness that magic.
At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the aspects of the group tour that did not meet your expectations. Your feedback regarding split accommodations, delayed park entry times, and the quality of alternative lodges is very important to us.
Kindly note that the split accommodation arrangement occurred because some guests in the group opted for midrange lodges while others chose budget options. Our group safaris are designed to accommodate both budget and midrange preferences, which can sometimes result in guests staying in different properties. That said, we understand the inconvenience this may have caused and are working on improving coordination to minimize delays and ensure smoother operations for future group departures.
We also sincerely apologize for your experience with the guide. Please note that the matter was taken very seriously, and the guide in question has since been suspended. We have reinforced our service standards to ensure all our guides are fully attentive, professional, and engaged with our guests at all times. We are happy to confirm that everything is now running smoothly, and our group tours continue to deliver great experiences.
Group safaris can indeed come with some logistical challenges, but they also offer a wonderful opportunity to share experiences and create connections. With the improvements we’ve made, we are confident that our group tours now provide both great value and a memorable safari experience.
We truly value your recommendation regarding private tours as well, and we would be honored to organize a more personalized safari for you on your next visit.
Thank you once again for your constructive feedback and kind words about the highlights of your trip. We look forward to welcoming you back and delivering the exceptional experience you deserve.

We were very lucky to find Ariphine Tour.
5/5

I'm from Russia and was looking for a company that offered affordable, no-prepayment safaris in Kenya. A three-day safari was perfect for our limited time in Kenya. I contacted the guys, and they responded quickly, showing me the tour itinerary. A driver picked us up from our apartment at the agreed-upon time, which was a nice touch. We then paid for the services and boarded a jeep with driver Anton. Then we stopped at a tent camp, where we were fed wonderfully, and the next day, at 6:30 a.m., the most unforgettable part of the trip, the safari, began. We saw all the animals several times. The organization was excellent, and the team was responsive. On the third day, we were driven back home. I wholeheartedly recommend Ariphine Tour!

Organized given the existing infrastructure
4/5

Communication was good and 24/7. There are many players in the “tour”. The organizer Ariphine - the truck owners- the drivers (some employed with trucks and some freelancers)- the lunch stops (bullion plus rice - at best) and sleeping camps. Hot water is at times NOT available in certain camps (although supposed to have) or no pressure. Expect dust everyday. Araphine made the best with what she had to work with and I thank her for that !!! 24/7. I am writing this so people can understand how it’s so important to have the organizer !

Great experienced tour guide
5/5

We were a group of 6 and had a 9days tour in Kenya and Tanzania. This review is for the Kenya part as the Tanzania part was handled by another tour company.
On the first day, the company picked us up at the hotel, and loaded us up to our first destination, Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Our guide John was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the trip.
During the game drive he coordinated with other guides to find animals and we managed to find all the animals we were expecting including the lions, leopards and cheetahs. He was very experienced and we appreciated he went beyond the hours to look for the animals. There was an optional iteneary where we could visit the Maasai village. We had to pay 20USD per person and the villagers also pressured us to buy their products at an extremely overpriced price. Talking to a local friend, she said it is unfortunate not the authentic Maasai tribe we are seeing but rather the “tourist” ones. So I would recommend not to take this trip.
The accommodation was overall okay (Enchoro wildlife camp had limited hot water, but this is the nature of being in a place with limited infrastructure) and we think the tour fee total was worth the price. Definitely recommend the tour company.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment with the optional Maasai village visit and for any inconvenience related to the accommodation. Your feedback is important to us and will help us improve how we present and manage these experiences.
Thank you for your recommendation and for traveling with us. We hope to welcome you again in the future.
