Great Safari with Perfect Organisation and Kind Personal Support, Great Mount Meru climb
We Booked 11 days with wilderness insight Safari for Mont Meru climbing and 5day Safari. Both was really Great, all our Special requests were considerd. We had successfull Mount Meru climbing considering our request for a day climbing on Summer (which i really can recommend!!!) with a loveley Team, very Kind Guides and Great meals. Our Safari (Tarangire, serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater) with John was wonderful. He tried to find all animals and succeded, and gave us very detailed Information about everything. The selected lodges were Great and also the meals on Tour were loveley. I really can Highly recommend John and the whole Team of wilderness insight Safari.

Our amazing experience with Wilderness Insights Safaris
My family and I hiked Mount Meru and went on a safari with Wilderness Insights Safaris.
From the beginning, we had a few special requests: We wanted to do a day summit on Mount Meru instead of the usual night summit. We also wanted to spend the nights in the order Mirakamba Hut – Saddle Hut – Saddle Hut instead of the usual route of Mirakamba Hut – Saddle Hut – Mirakamba Hut. John accommodated all of these requests and planned and implemented everything exactly as we had imagined.
Mount Meru
The hike up Mount Meru was beautiful – you cross different climatic zones, and we saw water buffalo, warthogs, many monkeys, and even giraffes along the way.
John's team was very friendly, and the two guides took excellent care of us. The food was also very good: every morning we had eggs, toast, porridge, and pancakes. For lunch and dinner, we always had soup, a meat dish with a side dish, salad, fruit for dessert, and hot water for tea. In addition, we were given warm water for washing every day after hiking.
On summit day, unlike all the other groups, we set off at 7 a.m. instead of midnight, at our request. This meant we were able to enjoy a stunning sunrise with Kilimanjaro in the background before breakfast. On the way up, our two guides and the summit porter took excellent care of us: They took our backpacks when someone was exhausted and took as many breaks as we needed. Once at the summit, we were completely alone and were able to enjoy the view for 30 minutes in peace, soak up the sun, and eat our snacks.
Safari: We did the safari with John himself. He was already waiting for us at the hotel when we arrived from Mount Meru and gave us a briefing on how the safari would proceed. On the first day of the safari, he picked us up from our hotel on time. The car was great and very clean (John also vacuumed it every day after the safari, etc.). The car also had a cooler with water, Coke, Coke Zero, white wine, and red wine. For the safari itself, we went to Tarangire, Serengeti, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. We saw an incredible number of animals—far more than I ever could have imagined. John made this already magical experience 100 times better: he explained a lot, had an answer to every question, was extremely knowledgeable about where to find which animals (we saw all of the Big 5), and somehow always managed to get us the best spot among all the safari vehicles, thus providing the best view of the animals. The food on the safari was also much better than expected: most of the other safari groups had boxed lunches, which I also expected. But John brought thermal dishes, which the hotel refilled every day, so we had hot (very good) food for lunch every day. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Mount Meru and the safari. Both were unforgettable experiences, made even better by John's personable manner, experience, and planning. I highly recommend Wilderness Insights Safaris to everyone.

Unforgettable Experience !
We went on Safari for 5 days with Wilderness Insights and it was a pleasure for the whole time. Our guide John helped us to see so much of the fascinating african wildlife. He was always willing to adapt to spontaneous wishes and changes of plans of us. Furthermore, he told us a lot of interesting facts about the wildlife and Culture in Tanzania. We all really liked him and i can fully recommend booking a tour here. Our exciting vacation began with Wilderness Insight Safari right at the airport in Arusha…
Our eventful vacation began with Wilderness Insight Safari, right at the airport in Arusha. We received a warm welcome from John and got to know each other very well on the short drive to the hotel; it was very informal and trusting. We also received initial information about the itinerary for the next day and spent the night in the first hotel/bungalow on the outskirts of Arusha. The next morning, our tour began in Tarangire National Park. On the drive there, which took about two hours, John told us a lot about his country, Tanzania. Upon arriving at the national park, we saw giraffes, wildebeest, elephants, zebras, and many other animals for the first time – fantastic. There was plenty of time everywhere to observe and photograph the animals. In the afternoon, we drove to the lodge hotel, which was located directly on Lake Manyara. An incredibly beautiful accommodation surrounded by wild nature. The next day took us to Norongoro Crater National Park. The drive was very adventurous, especially into the crater. However, it's unimaginable that this is an extinct volcano, densely populated and a habitat for thousands of animal species. In addition to the animals mentioned above, we observed lions, rhinos, hippos, flamingos, and countless other species here. Our highlights were the marriage of two lions, a lioness with cubs, and a lioness hunting a wildebeest.
The drive out of the crater was just as exciting and fascinating as the drive into it. At the end, there was a lookout point with a magnificent view over the crater. We then drove to the next lodge hotel in the late afternoon, where we were welcomed by Maasai.
John was always responsive to our requests; we had plenty to talk about, making the long drives very entertaining. He is very open-minded and trustworthy. He always had plenty of breaks and sufficient food for us. We didn't really have to worry about anything else, so we could fully enjoy our vacation. The five-day stay was definitely too short for this wonderful country. We will definitely come back again and continue our journey with Wilderness Insight Safari.
