It’s the worst company from my experience
I cannot recommend this company.
We wanted to visit Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, so we booked a 3-night, 4-day private tour. We paid $3,800 in advance for five people, but three days before the tour, we received a phone call saying that their colleague had made a mistake in the quotation. They told us that if we wanted to keep the private tour, we had to pay an additional $1,000. Otherwise, we would have to join a shared tour.
We refused to pay the extra $1,000 and switched to the shared tour, but it was a terrible experience. We had planned a long-awaited family trip to enjoy a private and relaxing safari, but we were seated separately, making it difficult to even have conversations with each other. The itinerary and accommodations were also different from what was originally provided, and it seemed like there was poor communication between the driver and the office staff.
If you are considering booking a private tour, I would advise you should not choose this company. They will demand additional fees at the last minute, even after providing a quotation. I will never choose them again.

Firstly, we acknowledge that there was a human error in the initial quotation, which we promptly informed you about three days before your trip. Upon realizing the mistake, we presented you with two clear options:
1. Continue with a private tour by adjusting the cost accordingly (+$1,000).
2. Opt for a budget-friendly shared tour, which you ultimately chose.
It was never our intention to force you into a shared tour, and we only proceeded after receiving your confirmation to do so. We respect our clients' decisions and ensure transparency in all our communications.
Regarding seating arrangements, our safari vehicles are designed to accommodate seven passengers comfortably. With your group of five and only two additional travelers, conversation within the vehicle should not have been restricted. We regret if this impacted your experience, but our guides always strive to ensure the best possible arrangement for all guests.
Additionally, we made every effort to communicate the revised itinerary and accommodations based on your selection. If there was any miscommunication, we sincerely apologize, as our goal is always to provide smooth and enjoyable safari experiences.
We understand that unexpected changes can be frustrating, and we appreciate your feedback. However, we also want to assure future guests that we do not demand additional fees at the last minute—in this case, the correction was made well in advance with transparent options provided.

Best safari and beyond
We just got back from a 10-days visit to Tanzania. Erick gave us the most interesting and comprehensive offer for safari and the diverse landscapes and people in Tanzania. We learned about the animals, plants, people and culture, accompanied by a guide who made us feel safe and was full of knowledge. We had the best time.

Omar is absolutely phenomenal!
Erik the tour guide coordinator took care is is as if we were one of his own family members. We made several last minute changes, and he came through each time. Omar is very knowledgeable about Arusha and the animals that we encountered on the safari. He is so pleasant and funny at the same time. He answers all questions and went far and beyond to make sure our excursions were amazing. His trainee Alex is also so sweet and kind. The extras that Omar and Alex did make the adventure unforgettable.

Very helpful, fast replies and kind.
We booked a 8 day Budget Safari Tour, which was at the end 5 days Safari, day 1 was pick up from the airport & city tour in Arusha which was also very interesting, day 7 was a guided tour to the Hadzabe People at Lake Eyasi und day 8 drop off at the airport. The other days we went to Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire, where we could see all the big 5 and had a great tour guide. Erick was very helpful when we wanted to make an upgrade for bedded tents instead of a bush camp. He always answered very fast & wanted the best solution for us. All in all we were very happy with the tour, except from the fact that we were never a real group, instead of that people stayed at different accomodations which led to long waiting times.

Our safari with Kerawanda was such a wonderful experience! We were three people and we booked a private safari for 7 days. Everything was really well planned from start to finish, and the communication before and during the trip was always super quick and helpful. We felt like every question or wish we had was taken seriously.
Erick made the start of our journey so easy—he picked us up from two different airports (since we arrived separately) without charging extra, which was such a kind gesture. He also introduced us to local food and the town, which gave the trip a very authentic touch. The sweetest part was that he even organized a little surprise for my sister’s birthday—it made the day really special.
On the safari itself, our guide was amazing. He was so experienced, knew exactly where to go, and we always felt safe and in good hands. We saw so many animals, more than we expected, and every day felt like a new adventure. The accommodations were carefully chosen and really comfortable, perfect for relaxing after long drives.
What I really loved was how personal the whole trip felt—not just another “standard tour.” The price was very fair for everything we got, and the whole experience was full of highlights. If we ever go on another safari, it will definitely be with Kerawanda again!
