Kind and caring.
Great experience with our guide Richard. She has been very kind and cordial to my group of friends. The visit to the parks was able to see the most wildlife allowed for as long as there was.

We recently completed a 3-day safari through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park with Akondo Adventures, and the experience was extraordinary. We decided last minute to go on safari and from the first email with Boris to the final drop-off at the airport, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
Also our guide, Victor, made this trip special. His sharp eye meant we saw far more than we expected — from a rare cheetah hunt, an amazing and exiting lions hunt to an incredible variety of wildlife. While we didn’t spot rhinos or leopards this time, we saw so much else that the experience still felt incredibly rich. Victor always knew when to wait, when to move, and seemed to anticipate where the action would happen. He was warm, respectful of the animals and environment, and made the entire journey feel personal and meaningful.
If we were to plan another 3-day safari, we might skip Tarangire NP and spend an extra day in the Serengeti — though Tarangire does have its own charm, especially with its beautiful landscapes, unique ecosystem, and iconic baobab trees.
The accommodations arranged by Akondo Adventures were excellent — especially the tented camp (Moyo) that let us feel immersed in nature without sacrificing comfort. The meals were fresh and generous, and all logistics were smooth and seamless, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the experience.
If you’re looking for a reliable, ethical, and well-organized safari operator in Tanzania, I fully recommend Akondo Adventures. And if you’re lucky enough to have Victor as your guide — you're in for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Unnaceptable and Offensive behavior
We hoped that after our extensive and detailed communication, everything would be as we accepted with «akondo adventures».
Despite the fact that we had no experience from safari when we chosen a 3-day vacation during our zanzibar holiday, given that there were many other travel organizations in the same areas, we easily understand that our vehicle was not in a very good condition for comfort on off-road roads.
However, by the second day, this problem was overcome thanks to our guide, athoos, who deserves our thanks, as he was knowledgeable of the environment and the opportunities for miracles at every point, plus he was extremely kind and voluntary.
However, on the 2nd day, at the end of our trip, and while the guide was taking us to our hotel (mawe mawe manyara lodge), we accidentally realized that it was not the one we had approved and booked!
We asked Innocent to contact the manager asap. The answer he gave us was that our hotel was overbooked at the last minute and they would transfer us to another.
When we moved to the new hotel, depressed and absolutely angry, we realized that this had nothing to do with the quality, location and services of what was agreed and paid in full 5 months ago.
The manager refused to answer our continuous phone calls and told their guide that he didn't want to talk to us!
So without having any other solution we were forced to stay with what he offered us...
The next day, at the airport for our return, the manager appeared spontaneously, apologized and proposed a refund of our accommodation in order to avoid a bad rating!
We asked his request to be put in writing. in his written response, we were surprised to read that he falsely claimed that the change happened the previous time (the guide had printed out the day's program in the morning...), that he mistake did not inform us as he should have..., and that the refund amount he intended to pay was not even 10% of the total cost of the 3-day safari.
His unacceptable and offensive behavior was worse than the fraud we were endured to.
We suggest that every interested tourist enterprise include penalty clauses in every agreement with the agreeing companies and certainly not to proceed to a full advance payment of 100% of the value.

Fantastic trip, only bettered by the service!
From the outset of the booking process and throughout, Boris was incredibly attentive and helpful. Boris was very responsive and helpful in providing additional details and information, allowing my girlfriend and I to pick an option which was best suited to what we needed.
Our trip involved flying from Zanzibar to the Serengeti, which involved the organisation of transfers from our hotel, flights, pick up and of course accommodation. The whole trip ran perfectly. There were no issues at any point and there was always someone waiting for us. Additionally, Boris was incredibly attentive throughout our trip to make sure things were running smoothly.
Our guide for the safari was fantastic. He had been working in the Serengeti for several years and his understanding of the National Park, its animals etc was fantastic. He was very friendly, and was always looking to try and find as many animals as possible, which resulted in us being able to see all the Big 5 and their cubs as well as a number of other fantastic animals.
We also booked the Balloon Safari experience through Akondo. Given we booked this very last minute, I have to commend Boris for how helpful he was in helping us book the experience, which was truly a once in a lifetime event.
On the whole our Safari trip was incredible and the highlight of our holiday. Boris and Akondo were incredible in organising such a trip, but also in how they looked after myself and my girlfriend from start to finish. I would highly recommend Akondo Adventures to anyone looking for a similar trip.

AKONDO ADVENTURES Safari trip of a lifetime to Tanzania (Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Manyara
AKONDO ADVENTURES are simply the best!!
Words are not enough to sum up the truly amazing adventure that we have been on - but I will try!!
We are from U.K. and booked online a last minute 3 day adventure to Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Manyara.
Boris booked us our dream itinerary at a very competitive price. It was a luxury private tour and I would advise everyone to book with him and his company. He is totally honest and professional. He arranged our whole trip from pick up at our Zanzibar hotel, flights to Arusha and met and welcomed us at Arusha Airport.
Our guide Richard was AMAZING. He was such a nice local guy and gave us the trip of a lifetime. Nothing was too much trouble, he was knowledgeable on everything we asked him and he was always happy 😊
In summary we would love to return another year and book a Serengeti tour and will 100% book this with Boris, Richard and AKONDO ADVENTURES.

Excellent, innovative tour operator agency with amazing staff and very organzied!
Akondo Adventures is more a new agency in the wide sea of agencies here in Arusha. When my husband and myself decided to do a Safari in Tanzania (we first stayed a few days in Zanzibar) I was overwhelmed with agencies offering exactly the same tours. We have asked for 3 offers on Safaribooking.com from three different agencies. As it was our first Safari we just wanted to do a 3-day Safari and see as many different regions as possible hence we have chosen the Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Manyara Lake Safari. We received three different offers from three different agencies, I have chosen some more expensive once and some more affordable once. Why we have chosen Akondo adventures was the value of money, the stay during the Safari and the well organized and clear planning. The PDF offer was well done and very clear. Obviously I started to check the reviews about Akondo Adventures at I only could read positive feedbacks especially of Richard our personal guide to be. Anyways for me it was clear that I will go with that Agency as Boris (the owner) was assisting us just brilliantly. The payment was done over Bank transfer which we first were not sure about either but everything was legit. Boris sent us all the flight tickets and everything we needed for our tour. Boris also arranged all wake up and pick up timings from the place we stayed in Zanzibar and made sure we are awake for our trip to Arusha. Everything was well organized from A to B, well done Boris! All the people which took care of us were just warm and caring! Anyways we arrived in Arusha (our flight with Flightlink was a very good flight!!) Boris then welcomed us in Arusha, explained to us how the next three days will look like and handed us over to our guide Richard. What a lovely guy, lots of knowledge, 13years plus as guide in all the parks around Tanzania! What a gem! And he even speaks Spanish and some words in German (my husband is Spanish speaker and myself German speaker). We started in Tarangire Park which we basically have seen all the animals we wanted to see followed by a drive closer to Ngorongoro to our lodge which by the was was just fantastic! That lodge has several chalets (super big!) which you have one for your own just out in the nature looking towards the lake Manyara! Stunning! The staff were just brilliantly beautiful to us! Next day we visited the Crater which was the best day of all three as it was just so beautiful and we even have seen the Rhino! Which is very difficult to see at the moment. Next day we were at lake Manyara which was just beautiful as well! Everything was just mind blowing for us hence the long review for them. Thank you for making these three days unforgettable! Richard, thanks a lot for all your wisdom and knowledge sharing (super cool guide, very you g for his expertise and experience!). Thank you Boris for being so flexible and patient! Wonderful safari experience
We hired a 2 days safari between Serengeti and ngorongoro crater ! Boris from Akondo adventures was very supportive and reliable throughout the planning process and during the actual safari via phone! The services provided throughout the safari trip( safari cars, refreshments, lunches and dinners) were all up to the expectation ! We managed to see so many animals and our drivers really worked hard to provide us the most of our of drive through the parks and knew what they were doing ! The hotel was spectacular and really great value for money ! There were some setbacks about the communication in relation to our flights on the second day, however Boris and team made sure to help us in adjusting the bookings and our taxi in Zanzibar airport on our way back even though it was a big delay by the airline! Overall we were a satisfied group of 10 customers, we had a blast and we recommend Akondo adventures
Best Experience ever with Akondo Adventures!
One day before the safari started, I asked Akondo Adventures about the tour, at around 2 p.m.
From Zanzibar we had a 2-day safari in Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the airport. Then we flew to Arusha. Our guide and Boris were already waiting for us. On the first day we went to Tarangire National Park. There we saw most of the animals. Elephants, giraffes, baboons, ostriches, wildebeests, antelopes, zebras, warthogs and even a leopard - sleeping on a baobab tree!
At the end of the day we spent the night in a beautiful, luxurious lodge near Lake Manyara.
On the second day, the Ngorongoro Crater was on the agenda. The way there was very foggy. First we visited a Masai village. It was quite cold there early in the morning. Then we went into the crater. . We saw the large lake with its alkaline water. In addition to the day before, we finally saw the lions, several times. There were also flamingos, hippos and buffalo.
At the end we went back to the airport, where we saw Boris again.
Boris managed the whole trip very well and was responsive to our wishes and needs. And all this despite the fact that we had booked the tour one day before! We can recommend everyone to book a tour with Akondo Adventures.
