Outstanding Knowledge and Impeccable Attention to Detail
We have just got back from a month travelling through South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and we are still on a 'safari high.' Untamed Safaris were our tour operators, and we cannot fault them. All communications, from our initial contact through to the conclusion of our travels, were friendly and respectful. Nothing was too much trouble, and no matter the changes/questions/requests (and there were plenty), responses were prompt, efficient and informative. We dealt with Ryan and his knowledge of travel throughout Africa was incredible. He helped us shape a trip that met all of our expectations and more, within our budget and time constraints. Our trip ran seamlessly, from flights, transfers, accommodation, car hire and safaris. The attention to detail in our itinerary meant we had a carefree holiday which exceeded all of our expectations. If you are planning a trip to Africa, and you definitely should, you cannot go wrong with Untamed Safaris. We are already planning a return and will definitely be using Untamed Safaris to advise us and coordinate our travels. We cannot rate them highly enough!

Ryan from Untamed Safaris in Australia was an absolute pleasure to deal with and put together a great African itinerary for my wife and I that made our safari holiday very easy and most enjoyable. Basically all we had to do was turn up and enjoy. Our itinerary included a 4 night game park stay at Simbavati River Lodge (an absolute must!) in Sth Africa, 3 nights at Cape Town in Sth Africa, 2 nights River safari on the Chobe River in Namibia and 3 nights at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Ryan arranged all transfers, border crossings, accommodation, internal flights and day trips. Everything was spot on, not a problem with anything. All vehicles and drivers were great and always on time, accommodation was good and in good locations, flights were at good times and Ryan gave us plenty of pre-trip information and advice. I highly recommend anyone looking at an African safari to get in touch with Ryan at Untamed Safaris.

We recently had the most amazing trip to South Africa, Zambia, and Namibia arranged through Ryan at Untamed Safaris. It was nothing short of incredible! Ryan was fantastic to deal with and organized everything perfectly. From the moment we arrived, everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the adventures ahead.
The game drives were the absolute highlight—each one offering something new and unforgettable. Seeing such magnificent animals in their natural environment was truly breathtaking. We loved exploring Cape Town, especially the V&A Waterfront and a visit to Stellenbosch. Victoria Falls completely blew us away with its sheer power and beauty, and we ended our journey on the Chobe River, watching elephants swim, hippos laze, and even a leopard strolling along the riverbank.
It was the trip of a lifetime. We can’t recommend Ryan and Untamed Safaris highly enough and will definitely book with them again in the future!

I highly recommend Untamed Safaris. My trip to Kenya and Tanzania was my second experience with Untamed Safaris and I am already planning my third! Just like my first experience, every detail was taken care of. This is so important in Africa as there is a lot that needs to be coordinated, and having a tour company you can trust is necessary as you're out in the wilderness. Ryan Kendall was brilliant to deal with, you can tell he knows Africa very well and every question was given the utmost attention. Ryan worked closely with us to create a tailor-made private tour of close to 3 weeks to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. All the lodges and meals were of a very high standard, and we had great guides with very well-maintained vehicles. A private trip also meant we could be flexible with our time and we often stopped for an hour or two to observe something incredible including playful cheetah, hunting lions, baby elephants and a zebra river crossing. I came home with so many wonderful memories and photographs but also a real sense of what these places and animals are all about.

My bucket list safari to Kenya and Tanzania was all I could wish for. I was promptly met at Nairobi airport by Newton and taken to a lovely hotel.
Met driver/guide Daniel who was fantastic. He had a wealth of knowledge and his driving skills over the terrain was exceptional. Saw the big 5 on the 1st day. Unbelievable.
Loved all of Kenya and travel companions were great. Handed over at Tanzanian border to Simon who again was fantastic. Loved the scenery, culture and people.

Very responsive, extremely helpful - Ryan from Untamed Safaris was excellent.
We were a group of photographers and so wanted a bespoke tour using lodges used to photographers. Really helpful to have an Australian based operator. Ryan helped us to put together an excellent program visiting Amboseli and the Mara. Mara in particular was excellent using Kicheche lodges who specialise in photographic safaris. Any issue we had while on safari (and there wasn't many!), we could immediately get on WhatsApp and Ryan would have it sorted that day. Amazing service! 5 star service.
Will definately use again (once I build up the funds again!)

We spent five weeks in Africa, and visited Victoria Falls, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar and South Africa and the whole trip was arranged by Untamed Safaris including all our international and internal airfares. Our tour of Kenya and Tanzania was organised as a private tour and the tour operators were very good, accommodation and food were excellent. Drivers were reliable and we had no problems.
Victoria Falls and Zanzibar were independent tours and all operators were very reliable. A day trip to Botswana was organised from Victoria Falls and was a real highlight of the tour, lots of elephants. Our time spent in Timbavati Game Reserve (South Africa) was a great way to finish a spectacular holiday. Simbavati Hilltop Lodge and Simbavati Trails Camp where both very special.
We would highly recommend Untamed Safaris to anyone wishing to visit Africa. Ryan's service was above and beyond. We are thinking of going back for a fourth time and will definitely be doing our bookings with Untamed Safaris.

A first class itinerary and experience, great engagement and no hasstles
We dont normally use Travel Agents but this was our first trip to Africa and we needed some guidance.
Ryan from Untamed Safaris provided an itinerary incorporating Sth Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe with some great insights and very even handed pros and cons on the different accomodation and itinerary options available.
The trip was well paced and comprehensive for the 15 days and the accom was first class. The 2 safaris provided different but equally amazing experiences and our stays in Capetown and Victoria Falls were wonderful. Ryan monitored our progress and was always available if needed but it was all very smooth. We could not have created this itinerary on our own. Thank you Ryan.

Personal service and advice!
Untamed Safaris were excellent to deal with from first contact. They came highly recommended by a friend who had had a similar experience for their Africa trip booked through Untamed Safaris. Rosanna and Ryan helped organise and book our trip. They were both great at working out what we were most interested in and how to make the most of our relatively short time in South Africa. They had excellent knowledge about flights, connections and a range of suggestions to consider. Their recommendations for day trips around Cape Town (where we were attending a conference) were excellent and they helped organise and book additional people from our conference to join these day trips, setting clear expectations of what they would involve (one was a hike up Table mountain which required a reasonable level of fitness, which was superb). The safari experiences they booked for us with Simbavati Hilltop Lodge and Simbavati Trails Camp were unbelievable. The first was a very luxury experience and the second was in a trail camp setting, but if anything was even more amazing in terms of hospitality and personal service given its remoteness. We highly recommend this company if you are contemplating a trip to Africa.
