The best experience I could imagine!
5/5

Our trip to the North parks of Tanzania with Sustainable Safari Tours was simple awesome!
It was too easy to be in contact with them before the trip and the information provided was always clear and serious.
We were in good hands since we landed, receiving friendly and pleasant treatment.
The guide and driver, Joshua, He knows the parks as his own home, the behavior of the animals and the nature of the savanna itself. It is a pleasure to learn by listening to him. It makes the experience even more magical.
We were able to see the big 5, authentic wild life, in a respectful and sustainable way with the environment.
I'm looking forward to coming back again!
Big thanks!

unforgetable moments with special persons
5/5

had a wonderful time with Joshua. Six days in Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti. My heart and soul were filled anew each day. I saw so many animals and was able to observe them in peace. The lodges where I stayed were all excellent choices, and I felt very comfortable. This is especially important for me as a solo traveler. I can highly recommend Joshua and Sustainable Safari Tour, particularly for solo travelers.

An unforgettable safari with memories that will last a lifetime!
5/5

I had the most incredible, unforgettable 15-day safari in Tanzania with Sustainable Safari Tours. I am a frequent traveler to Africa and have been on game drives more than a hundred times. I have had many once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounters in different parts of Africa, so I always set my expectations high whenever I return for game drives. Thanks to my guide Joshua, who is also the founder of the company, the safari itself and every aspect of the experience exceeded all my expectations. He was a huge part of what made my trip truly memorable and unforgettable.

I looked at several different tour operators but ultimately decided to go with Sustainable Safari Tours because they are a local Tanzanian business, they replied quickly and clearly, and they put together an ideal safari tailored exactly to what I wanted. From the very beginning, I was able to communicate directly with Joshua, the guide and owner of the company, and ask many questions about wildlife, accommodations, and even routes within the national parks. This level of direct communication really stood out compared to other tour operators. Joshua is not just a sales representative but also a guide who knows all the parks like the back of his hand. I must have sent countless emails with requests about accommodations, routes, and other details, and he always responded kindly and promptly. I was planning to visit Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti (eastern, central, and southern), and Ngorongoro in a specific order and asked other tour operators if it was possible. They all said “yes,” but Joshua was the only one who gave honest advice and suggested the best order to visit these places. That was when he truly earned my trust, and I decided to go with Sustainable Safari Tours. I cannot thank Joshua enough. He is the best guide and tour operator I could have ever asked for.

Once I was on safari, the experience was pure magic. Joshua was professional, energetic, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I was traveling solo, but he took excellent care of me and made sure I always felt safe and comfortable. His sense of humor helped me relax from day one. He is extremely considerate of his clients while also being very respectful of the parks and the animals. He was outstanding in every way. He knew every animal, could spot wildlife incredibly quickly, and always positioned the vehicle perfectly for amazing views and ideal photo opportunities. Joshua is Maasai and deeply committed to sustainable tourism practices, working closely with Maasai communities. I had the privilege of asking many questions and learning about Maasai culture and traditions, which made the experience even more meaningful.

This was by far the most amazing trip I have ever taken, and I truly could not have had a better experience. I cannot recommend Sustainable Safari Tours highly enough if you are looking for a professional, friendly, and locally knowledgeable tour operator.

Honest and trustworthy tour operator, excellent service

We are back from an amazing three days safari trip to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with Sustainable Safari Tours. As the whole trip was rather spontaneously planned (don’t do that!) we were pretty much stressed out with the preparations. Joshua helped us in several phone calls to take away our fears and answered all of our questions. He offered us a reasonable price and he offered an excellent itinerary and great value for the price. We felt safe from the beginning, and he kept his promises and his word fully. We experienced a superb organized three-day-safari-trip.
Our driver James knew all the good spots, provided us with gorgeous photo opportunities. We stayed in camps (go for the lodges, if you need comfort and if you can afford it) and our tent was surrounded by zebras overnight. Have you ever heard a zebra eating grass? We did! I cannot describe the feeling being in nature among wild animals and still feeling safe.
We have seen the Big Five and many other animals.
It is crucial to have a good and knowledgeable guide and a firm organization in the background. Joshua did a very good job; our tent was always ready when we arrived to a camp and we had a carefree three days just enjoying the wonderful wild life in Tanzania.
John, our cook prepared our meals always on time, doing his very best under difficult circumstances. The meals included a soup, main course and dessert on all evenings. Breakfast was rich and delicious with local specialties, as we asked for it.
The wildlife is amazing, James provided us with information on all animals and spotted them even from very far away. Don’t forget to take good binoculars with you, but as you see on the photos, they are not always necessary to have.
All in all, if you want to support a small independent and honest business in Tanzania and want to have a great time at the same time, choose Sustainable Safari Tours. It is very difficult for small independent businesses to manage nowadays and this is one, that takes hospitability and service seriously and Joshua goes out of his ways to make your safari experience memorable.

Attentive and Aims to Please
5/5

Heading home from a fantastic 4-day, 3-night solo safari with Sustainable Safari Tours (SST) to the Ngogorondo Crater and Serengeti. Where do I start? I am an older woman solo traveler; I was looking for an outfitter who would provide safe and dependable transportation, good communication and an excellent experience at a moderate price. I chose SST. First, Joshua was extremely attentive and communicative. He and I discussed my needs and I decided on a camping trip. He was responsive when I asked questions as I prepared and on the trip itself. He put together a wonderful itinerary. My driver Jumo and John the cook took good care of all my needs - setting up camp, making delicious meals and safely driving from place to place and in the Serengeti and Crater. No small feat given Tanzanian roads and keeping an eye out for wildlife. Which brings me to my last point- the experience. I had a rich and full adventure! Good food, exposure to the culture, and spotting wildlife. The safari itself was the star of the show- I saw every wild animal on this list up close and across the landscape. I am walking away with some great memories, beautiful photos, and new friends.
