Very nice and affordable Safari to Mikumi NP
10/10 – Two-Day Safari in Mikumi National Park from Dar es Salaam
Daudi took excellent care of us – everything was perfectly organized and went completely smoothly.
We did the safari in July 2025, starting early in the morning from Dar es Salaam with the SGR train to Morogoro. There, we were picked up and taken straight into our first game drive.
In the evening, we drove to the lodge, had dinner, and stayed overnight. The next morning, we enjoyed another game drive – it was absolutely amazing! We saw so many beautiful animals and had such a great experience. Highly recommended!
After comparing many different providers, Asantebibitours was by far the best choice. We got a tailor-made program, all our wishes were fulfilled – and it was still more affordable than most other companies offering similar two-day trips including train ride, safari, and accommodation.
Can highly recommend!

Great experience, highly recommended!
I had a 3-day safari at Nyerere National Park and it was a wonderful, priceless experience. We had so many animal encounters. We saw many elephants, hippos, giraffes, impalas, and baboons. We also saw warthogs, water bucks, bush bucks, antelopes, wildebeest, zebras, and a few sleeping lions. As an animal photography hobbyist, i was very happy that I got so many beautiful shots. My guides, Pray and Gladness, were very helpful. As a solo female traveler, I was a bit nervous about going on a private safari. But Pray and Gladness made me feel very comfortable, and it was like spending time with friends. I chose Asante Bibi because I read so many great reviews about the customer service, and I'm happy to say that my experience is the same. Daudi, the company owner, is very accommodating to my needs, and kept in touch throughout the whole trip to make sure everything went okay. A very highly recommended trip indeed with Asante Bibi. If I ever get the privilege to visit Tanzania again, I will definitely hit them up!

Outstanding Safari!
Absolutely loved the 3 day safari that Asante Tours kindly organised for me to Neyere National Park. The organisation, the personnel and the thoughtfulness in creating a wholistic experience in such a short time really stood out. Tour guides Pray and Gladness were superb - knowledgeable, friendly and went out of their way to optimise my experience in any way they could. They built in a boat safari, a road safari, a bushman walk, a trip to a traditional maasai settlement and an insight into the way they live, into the short time. Accommodation was at a lovely lodge which was authentic and comfortable. It had an amazing birdbath where I saw an array of exotic birds drink and bathe - a real treat. The driver Nyuki made me feel like I was in good hands on the amazing but sometimes crazy roads. Daudi Gembe, the tour operator stayed in touch regularly to check in and see if there was anything else I wanted - a very nice touch, and very appreciated. The national park itself was awesome - saw an amazing amount of animals and birds and trees and plants which my knowledgable guides introduced to me. This is an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Asante Tours. The trip will remain a cherished memory forever

Incredibly unprofessional tour operator ruined my entire day
Daudi was incredibly unprofessional - he did not arrive on time for my agreed upon scheduled pickup nor responded to any of my subsequent texts or phone calls over the next hour. Eventually, I gave up on my dream safari and missed the scheduled 6 am train.
Only then did Daudi respond, eventually showing up at my hotel 3 hours late, after I was resigned to frantically finding a new tour operator last minute for my last free day available of my business trip.
I believe I may have been scammed - Daudi asked for all of the cash upfront the week prior (thankfully I declined), sent me WhatsApp photos of his supposed IDs promising that I could keep them as insurance (the birth dates did not match), and did not offer or return my deposit.
I would strongly encourage other travelers to select a more reliable tour operator to ensure that your dream safari comes true as scheduled!

Posted on Feb 11, 2026Dear Desmond — thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the booking did not go as you expected and I regret your disappointment. For the record and to explain our side of the story:
• The trip was confirmed with a 30% deposit (paid via Pesapal). Our terms (sent at booking) state the deposit secures supplier bookings and is non‑refundable. We did not require full cash payment up front — payments for this booking were processed through Pesapal.
• The original plan was the 06:00 train on 31/01/2026. After that service was missed, you agreed in writing to a revised 08:09 departure. To protect the guest experience I offered to upgrade the booking to a 2‑day/1‑night stay at Mikumi (at our cost), rebooked train tickets for two people (client + company escort/guide), and confirmed park entry and accommodation.
• I personally agreed to travel from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi to escort the trip. Our vehicle and guide were on standby at Four Points by Sheraton at the agreed pickup time.
• Shortly before departure you cancelled, telling us you “didn’t trust” us and that you would use another company. Despite sending proof of the accommodation and making additional concessions beyond the original booking, you did not cooperate or propose an alternative — the last message we received was “good day.”
• Because we had already paid suppliers and rebooked services, we incurred non‑recoverable costs (train tickets and rebooking fees, park entry and permits, accommodation reservations, and operational readiness). Those costs were covered by the paid deposit in line with our booking terms.
• To verify our account, we can provide Pesapal payment confirmation, train ticket receipts (original and rebooked), park and accommodation confirmations, WhatsApp/email logs showing the agreed revised departure and the cancellation, and an operations log showing our team on standby.
We want every guest to have a great safari and take feedback seriously. If you would like to review the documentation or discuss this further, please contact me directly and I will respond promptly.
Best regards,
Daudi Gembe

Amazing Safari, great comfort and wonderful people
We recently did a 3-day safari trip with my partner and overall we absolutely loved the experience. Our stay at Camp Bastian exceeded our expectations — the room we were offered had a private bathroom, air conditioning, and was very comfortable. The food included in the all-inclusive plan was delicious, traditional, and well prepared.
All the staff we met were lovely, welcoming, and very friendly, including our guide, who made the safari even more enjoyable. We really liked the safari itinerary, and we highly recommend the 3.6-kilometre hike to Chizua Waterfall — it was an amazing experience and definitely a highlight of the trip.
We were a bit sceptical at first about taking the train, but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, even in economy class. It honestly felt like a European train.
Overall, the trip was absolutely worth every euro we paid, and we highly recommend booking with Asante Bibi.

Daudi is just incredible — he takes care of everything. Absolutely fantastic!
We had a fantastic time. Everything was perfectly organized, from the pickup to the transfer after the tour. Daudi thought of everything and fulfilled our every wish. We were lucky to see many giraffes, elephants, lions, and lots of other animals – a wonderful experience that I can highly recommend to everyone. The accommodation was also very pleasant, clean, and even had a pool.

Carefully, kind and great experience
A very nice, kind, small and familia Safari Company. You can trust them 100% that they do their best to offer you a wonderful safari experiences for a very fair price also for students. Everything went smooth and I really enjoyed the time with our tour guides, the lodge we were located, the food and of course the wonderful safari we did in the Nyerere National Park. The guides are taking much care and have incredible knowledge, they are the best and greatest company you can wish for. What was a bit annoying unfortunately was that the veko, it was a bit broken and on one side the window didn't go down. In addition, the walking safari and the visit to the Maasai was very interesting but did not reflect how such a presentation and "show" for white tourists also reinforces a racist image about the "African continent" in many white people's minds... I think that as a tourist you have to deal with power structures, racist systems and postcolonialism before you travel to countries like Tanzania, which of course is not the responsibility of Asante Bibi. All in all we enjoyed our trip with this company and learned a lot it was a wonderful and unforgettable time .Thank you so much Asante Bibi!
