Wonderful
We went on a four day safari and enjoyed it so much!
Everything was taken care of, and we felt so secure all the time. The communications before the tour was so polite and informative.
Our guide and driver, Joel, was so good and friendly, and I can absolutly recommend him.

Almost 5 star safari on a budget
I traveled solo during the low season and wanted to experience a safari in Tanzania on a budget. Joining a group was the only realistic way to make that happen. I booked the tour about five months in advance and chose mid-range accommodation.
Because travelers in my group stayed in different accommodation categories (budget, mid-range, and luxury), there was additional time spent each day picking everyone up — sometimes up to an extra hour of driving. It wasn’t ideal, but I understood it as part of a mixed-group setup, especially during the low season.
Derick handled the arrangements and was friendly and easy to communicate with. The company used vehicles and guides from another operator, which I assume is a common practice during low season to consolidate groups.
The only unpleasant aspect was that two out of six nights my accommodation was slightly downgraded without advance notice. Better communication here would have made a difference. That said, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience.
I was asked in advance about food preferences, but no special arrangements were actually made. I adjusted and simply avoided meat and chicken in the lunch and breakfast boxes, which was manageable but worth noting for travelers with stricter dietary requirements.
The safari itself was outstanding. Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire were unforgettable, and the guides, vehicles, and Serengeti lodge were genuinely five-star in terms of the overall experience.
In most lodges (except the first and last nights in Arusha), there was no internet in the rooms — only in common areas like dining or reception — something to be aware of if connectivity matters to you.
Overall, the safari experience was excellent and deeply rewarding. For a solo traveler on a budget, it delivered exactly what I came for: remarkable wildlife, strong guiding, and unforgettable days in Tanzania’s national parks

Very friendly and great communication
We booked a 6 day mid-range safari from Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was a great trip which was organised by Gasper. He was very responsive throughout the whole process and even during the safari whenever we had an issue, he was available to help sort it out. The accommodation he booked was excellent, way better than what we’d expected.
We saw all the animals we wanted to see. It would have been great if we could have spent more time looking for animals other than the Big 5 and have guides who provide better explanations of the animals and their behaviours but we had a guide book which helped. That is to be expected however on a shared safari. This is a common issue however and not something unique to Tanzania Pilgrimage. I would certainly recommend them! They even managed to arrange vegetarian meals throughout for my partner.

great experience
I would warmly recommend to do a safari with Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris! The manager Derrick is really caring about his customers and do response very quickly to any questions.
The trip was well organized, but with some small complications.
But in total it was such a nice experience! I had a really good time which I will never forget!! Thank you!! Asante sana! :)

The tour operator was very helpful and eager to provide us a posivite safari experience.
We had a lovely and life-changing safari experience with Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris. I felt like I was in a National Geographic documentary observing the animals in their natural habitat. Our guide and driver was eager to share his knowledge about the fauna and flora we were encountering. He made sure we would have a positive experience in collaboration with our safari consultant, with whom we were in contact anytime we needed anything.
A very positive fact that I would like to mention is that when I forgot a gift at one of the lodges of the park and when I realised it we were already heading out of the park, the managing team back at Arusha made every effort to find and transfer the gift back Arusha (where we were heading to) on time. This was a precious moment for me as I didn't lose the beautiful object I had bought as a souvenir and it is not a given that everyone could have done for me.
In general, the tour operator made sure that everything was rolling smoothly for us. Also, when an accommodation happened to be overbooked they managed to find us another lodge, which happpened to be super luxurious, which we were not expecting of course.
This was a shared safari with 4 more people apart from my friend and I, and it turned out very fun and comfortable.
I recommend the Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris. Our guide and driver tried to take us everywhere and see all the animals possible. Final point is the selection of lodges within Serengeti park, which were an experience by themselves and really very nice and cute.

Perfectly planned and friendly!
We had such an amazing Safari experience in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater thanks to Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris! We had no issues, everything was planned smoothly by Joel, the homemade food by Pasco was delicious and we saw the big 5 during our 3 day game drive thanks to our driver Eli. We couldn’t have had a better experience, the value for money is unbeatable!

An exceptional company to go with.
When we decided we wanted to do a safari we were unsure where to start really.
We are world travellers but had never done a safari so weren’t sure what to look for.
When we stumbled across Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris we thought ‘why not’ this one.
And we were so glad we did.
From start to finish everything was just how we hoped it would be.
We initiated a conversation with Joel the tour rep.
From that moment on it was all plain sailing.
The communication was excellent. Any questions we had were answered promptly and as well as what we needed.
We chose the type of safari we wanted which was 3 nights 4 days.
We chose what level of comfort we wanted as well! The accommodation surpassed what we were looking for.
As the days got closer to our safari Joel was in contact even suggesting hotels that we may want to book.
Joel came to see us at our hotel the day before so he could explain everything.
They even stored our other luggage until we returned.
On the day we were due to leave John, our tour guide came to our hotel to pick us up.
That man was a true fountain of knowledge! He knew all there was to know about everything safaris related. No question was left unanswered.
He could spot animals that we all thought were rocks!
The whole experience was truly amazing and 💯 perfect for us.
Value for money? We were unsure what to expect for what we paid but we can honestly say that what we got was exceptional.
The accommodation on route was top notch.
We had water and soft drinks to have in the jeep.
The only extra money we spent was at some pit stops along the way for coffee etc. Or beer at our accommodations.
Our lunches that we had over our 3 days were supplied by the accommodation we stayed in the day before.
They did not disappoint.
We went to lovely viewpoints to have our lunches.
You won’t go wrong if you use Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris.
They are professional and very good at what they do.

Wonderful and Well-Organized Safari Experience
I had a fantastic experience with Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris. The overall customer service was excellent, and the team was professional and helpful from start to finish.
A special thanks to our guide Julius, who made the safari truly memorable. They didn't just ensure we saw plenty of wildlife, but they also took great care of us as clients. Reliable, good communication and great lodging
We chose Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris both because of the route and lodging but mainly because of good communication, where our wishes and questions were heard. And through out all the time Yohanes kept following up to make sure everything was fine - and it was. We stayed at really nice tented camps with good service. The best part was our guide Joel, who knew so much, saw the animals long before us and was really nice to be around. So all in all - a fantastic tour!
