A safari the way it should be with Roko Safaris
Tanzania is already special. But Roko Safaris makes it unforgettable.
Our trip was tailor-made from start to finish — no standard programme, but a route built entirely around our wishes. Having the same guide and driver throughout meant we saw more, felt safe on both rugged terrain and busy roads, and built trust along the way.
The preparation was excellent: great tips in advance, wonderful local accommodations and everything perfectly arranged. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
And most importantly: Roko Safaris doesn’t line up ten cars around one lion. They choose calm and respect for nature — and that’s exactly why we experienced moments we will never forget.
A recommendation? From us, absolutely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

great and professional
We enjoyed our safari with Roko safaris. After a warm welcome at Arusha airport, our safari started, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti 2 days and Ngorongoro. Roko is an experienced guide and has a great eye for nature, giving us unforgettable moments. I can recommend Roko safaris to everyone.

The Absolute Best of Safari organizer!
If you come across this review it's possibly because you are trying to find your way around the infinite number of offers on the subject. Please read this through because Roko Safaris allowed us to live truly the most incredible experience.
We did ourselves our fair share of research and in the end decided for an 8days hiking and safari tour with Roko.
We didn't know what to expect but what we did really blew our minds and we are so grateful we did it. The first six days of hiking are truly magnificent, you want meet other tourists where you go because Roko will bring you in a quite remote area where you'll be able to see how and where the masaai families live and have lived for the past centuries. For many of the kids you'll be the first tourists they see. The different landscapes we passed in those days where hard to believe how beautiful and immaculate they were. Camping, hiking time, food and rest we'll be tailored perfectly by Roko and his team according to your needs and he'll make all the adjustments to make you happy and as comfortable as possible. The last two days you'll be joining the big tourism of serengeti and ngorongoro, they are a must see of tanzania and the number of animals we spotted in 48hours was phenomenal thanks to Roko tracking skills. I personally think we couldn't be luckier. Thanks Roko, thanks Miranda, it was a real blast, we'll never forget it.

Once in a lifetime experience!
This was the most unbelievable experience! We did the 8-day hike and safari, and Roko's expertise in finding animals, knowledge of the landscape, and the people surpassed anything we could have hoped for. If you like backcountry camping and seeing animals while hiking rather than in a line of motor cars then this is for you. We hiked 8-13 miles (12-20km) a day. However, Roko will adjust to your needs and was very vigilant in monitoring our well-being. We camped in tents for four nights, guest houses for two nights, and one night glamping in the Serengeti. We traveled with two Masaai guides, a cook, and a driver. The food was phenomenal, and there were new meals for lunch and dinner every day. Roko went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and experiencing as much of the landscape as possible. Every day, we crossed different terrain and encountered new birds and wild animals. If you are a birder, be sure to bring a book. We saw so many different species every day, and it was helpful to keep track. One of my favorite experiences was learning so much about Maasai culture and their daily life. All of us felt the hiking portion of the trip was our favorite. One last note: Roko Safari is run by a local Maasai, Roko, and all of the money goes directly into the community, unlike many of the European-owned tours.
