Pure Luck or chaotic safari?
2/5

I don't know where to start to be honest.. this will be long. I spoke to the tour organizer fiona through WhatsApp she sounded lovely and I felt very comfortable and that I can trust her since it was my first safari and my birthday celebration. We decided to pay extra to be with her even though we had different companies.

To start off, the person that had to pick us up was 4 hours late . So we had to go to lunch and immediately rushing to masai mara. The driver was driving very fast With good intentions that he wanted us to be able to see the park. Which resulted in a bad accident on day 1. My head banged against the windows of the van and the rocks on the floor. Van flipped completely on the floor due to the driver rushing [ not a great start for a first day]. I did speak to fiona and she offered to refund us the money and take me to the hospital. At this point I didn't have much of a choice because we were in the middle of a camp and I'd loose all the time that I planned for. so truly my only choice was to keep going unfortunately...As it was near impossible to find another safari on the spot. I was thankfully okay after a few days. I did ask for change of car and driver and that was granted. Besides that it was very Unorganized, moved randomly, rushed, incorrect information given. PDF given as decoration nothing is followed on that PDF she gives you. No proper communication. [ ] Where it says optional- not really optional someone changed their mind and they had nowhere to go so they were forced to pay.Different companies compiled in one car which caused plans to change and lost time = frustration
[ ] On day 3 said we would relax at hotel did it happen? No as I said random and disorganized. We lost time and I felt like i was constantly rushed which also caused the second driver to loose his excitement as it was frustration constantly instead of joy... you get what you pay for... did I see the big five? Yes thank God I didn't expect that at all. Am I disappointed absolutely. The tour coordinator didnt not want to take accountability for accident but later apologized for all the wrong things thay kept happening every single day. which I appreciated some things were not in her hands but there is definitely room for improving or maybe it's just pure bad luck for us? Side note; I did speak with someone else that we met and was dealing with inspired feet and they also complained of disorganized and communication issues.

Dear Martine,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations, and I deeply regret any disappointment you felt. Your concerns are important to us, and I would like to address them directly.

First and foremost, I want to express my sincere apologies for the unfortunate accident during your safari. I am relieved to hear that you are well. At the time of the incident, our primary concern was your health and safety, which is why we advised you to seek medical assistance immediately. I took it upon myself to meet you halfway through the safari and check on your well being. When I came, we had a sit-down. I offered a refund to ensure you were not financially inconvenienced & also paid for you an extra game drive at Hell's Gate National Park even though it wasn't included in your itinerary. At this particular point I tried to make it up to you in whichever way I could so that we could be on the same page.

You also requested to have a different driver and car- it was the least we could do; so we did.

There are indeed occasions where unforeseen circumstances, such as distance, weather, transport or accommodation issues - which can alter our planned itineraries. In such cases, our guides and drivers are instructed to communicate with us promptly so that we can make adjustments to the itinerary and still meet our clients’ needs as best as possible.

Regarding your comments about the driver’s speed, we take such concerns very seriously. We conducted a thorough internal investigation with the driver involved to understand the circumstances of the accident and we took the action of letting go of the said guide. It was unfortunate.

While we strive to provide exceptional experiences, I regret that we fell short during your trip. Most of our clients have had wonderful experiences with our safaris, and it is disappointing to hear that this was not the case for you.

Once again, I sincerely apologize for the circumstances that affected your experience. I would be more than happy to discuss further what we can do to make things right, including offering you a special arrangement for a future booking, should you choose to travel with us again.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Best regards,
Fiona Grace

More Expensive for More Information but Not Neccessarily a Better Tour
3/5

I went on the 14 day Combined Kenya-Tanzania Safari. I chose Inspired Feet because of their positive reviews, excellent e-mail communication and detailed itinerary. Fiona was professional and answered all my questions. I had multiple guides but Francis and Godana in Kenya were the best and deserve a shout-out for their service.

I thought I would be with one group the whole time but I was not. This was disappointing to me as a solo traveller. Unless you are on a private tour, you will be on "joining safari" which means you share a car with multiple people from different tour companies. People may have different itineraries. I changed cars 3 times in Kenya and 2 times in Tanzania. It was nice to meet new people and have different drivers but it made it harder to form a bond with people. This was because I had a longer itinerary than most people (it was the extra day in Kenya compared to others that threw things off).

The value for money is OK. I met people who had the same itinerary as me but paid less. I thought I was getting value out of a more detailed itinerary book but honestly it was not worth it. When you get on the safari everyone is figuring things out as they go anyway. Go with the tour company with the best price that hits the destinations you want. The extra information about the destinations in the book and about the hotels was not worth paying what I estimate was 10-15% more than what others did (at least). I would recommend upgrading to the jeep for Kenya though - it is essential and I didn't see any vans in the parks.

Inspired Feet did not communicate with me after I paid the deposit. I was on my own for my visas and had to message them about scheduling the transport from the hotel to their office. Other tour operators did this for their clients so I would have liked more communication.

I was recommended the 14 day itinerary because it was "the most popular option". This was not my experience. During my trip, I did not meet anyone doing the same itinerary (with Inspired Feet or another company). Most people do Kenya OR Tanzania. I did 7 days in Kenya but most people I met were doing 5 days. In Tanzania, I did 6 days but most people do 4. If you want to go to Kenya and Tanzania and want to save money/time, do the 10 day itinerary - it skips Lake Naivasha, Lake Manyara and Tarangire Park, which aren't as popular or good of parks. I preferred Kenya over Tanzania so I would do 6 days in Kenya (having 2 full days in Masai Mara was worth it). The drive to the Serengeti in Tanzania included 4 hours of the worst roads I've ever seen. I thought the Masai Mara was much better for wildlife because it is more dense part. Only go to the Serengeti if it is a bucket list item. The Ngorongoro Crater was highly underwhelming - cool landscape but it really is just a hole in the ground with few animals. Despite this, I enjoyed having a longer trip because I did see new things everyday and could appreciate all the parks at a slower pace. The 4 day run doing Serengeti and Ngorongoro is absolutely brutal - I am glad I had 2 extra days to break it up.

Would I recommend Inspired Feet? Yes and No. Their service was quality, the tour was great and I had a good time. It was expensive for a budget safari and I don't think I should have been recommended the 14-day tour.

Dear Samantha,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed experience. We truly value your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall safari and appreciated the service from our team, especially Francis and Godana.

We’re delighted that you found the safari memorable, enjoyed meeting new people, and noted the professionalism in our pre-tour communication. Your insights are invaluable to us.

Regarding the itinerary recommendation, we appreciate your perspective as a younger solo traveler. Our 14-day Kenya–Tanzania safari is typically preferred by elderly clients or wildlife enthusiasts couples who enjoy a slower-paced, immersive experience, and since age details aren’t always provided during booking, it can be difficult to tailor recommendations perfectly. We’ll certainly use this feedback to bridge that gap going forward — ensuring our suggestions align more closely with travelers’ age ranges, energy levels, and preferences.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the vehicle and guide changes during your trip. We also offered this information prior to the safari on the briefing. Group-sharing safaris sometimes require coordinating travelers on varying itineraries, though we understand how this may have felt less personal as a solo guest. We also appreciate your thoughts regarding communication and itinerary clarity. We did send your receipt after the deposit payment, and for visa-related inquiries, we encourage guests to reach out directly — we pride ourselves on prompt replies via both email and WhatsApp.

In terms of cost, your package included a Jeep upgrade, which accounts for the difference compared to other travelers’ pricing. Moving forward, this upgrade will be automatically included in all 2026/2027 safari packages to enhance value and experience for our guests. A 14D itinerary has to include your accommodations, park entry fees for sleeping inside the park and meals day in & out. It’s a long trip. $2500 for the 14D budget trip was honestly a good deal considering it included the Jeep however we do respect your views.

Once again, we appreciate your honesty and are truly glad that despite the challenges, you had a memorable experience exploring Kenya and Tanzania. We’d be honored to host you again — perhaps on a shorter, more personalized private safari next time.

Kind regards,
Inspired Feet Safaris Ltd

Great 8-day Safari in Kenya!
4/5

We had a great time in Kenya and were lucky enough to experience great wildlife encounters!!
Everything was well organized, we got the chance to upgrade to a Landrover and were happy we did that. We were able to open the sides and thus see very well, but the roads were really dusty, so definitely bring a mask! (And a warm jacket as the wind can be very cold). It would have been handy to know beforehand that masks are needed.
Our first accommodation was overbooked so they took us to another one. Our guide had to drive us every morning and evening to the other accommodation to eat. The food overall, especially the lunches, were quite simple. We were “warned” that the lunches are not good, but that the guide would stop at a shop on the way so we can buy some snacks. Unfortunately we didn’t stop at a shop on the way to Maasai Mara (only at our lunch spot but there snacks were really expensive) which would have been nice (as the lunches were indeed not the best and they struggled a bit to remember and pack the proper dietary restrictions as asked).
Our guide was very nice and tried his best to give us great animal encounters and we got to see the a Big 5, the wilderbeast crossing through the river and even a cheetah family on the hunt! Sometimes I would have loved to get more information about the animals or more background info about the parks etc., but even when asking specific questions we didn’t always get thorough answers.
Overall, we had a very great experience and got good value for our money.

A small company that provide safari broke service
4/5

The driver Bonie is very good, nice guy with charming and shying smiles all the time.
He is very inspired to take the guests to running around the national park and reserve zone to provide more opportunity fot the guests to see more (we are very happy to see the wildebeest crossing and cheetah hunting).
But he needs some improvement in car stopping point and waiting time control and parking angle and more patience. I had many times in safaring that when I tried to zoom and to take photos then the car is suddenly moving.
Some guests only want to see.
Some guesss not only want to see but also want to take photos and videos. They need more minutes to zoom and focusing.

Professional with a pretty timely communication record
4/5

It was wonderful. My group was able to see what we sought out to!! - a lot of credit given to Inspired feet. I.F/Joseph (our driver) took us to all the places where the big 5 animals would be found along with a perfect trip cap (and coincidentally a mountain cap)…seeing Mount Kilimanjaro! While the camps weren’t the most luxurious, they are a perfect representation of what you pay for. Also, in order to get the true safari experience, inspired feet sets you up in camps where you live with just enough resources to feel like you are camping with a combination of safety and contentment. The only thing I will say, and I don’t know or think this is an inspired feet doing, be prepared to do a lot of boring sitting in the car traveling between parks.

smart. kind and reliable
4/5

Good communication from the start and great availability.
The tour went as we planned. The accomodations were comfortable, despite our low budget. Every camps was really nice, as well as all the people were very very kind. I am intollerant to gluten, and every person took care of my needs, so I am deeply grateful to them.
We changed 3 drivers, and each one was good in his work, especially the last one, Boniface.
Fiona, the manager, was always available for every questions , and ready to solve any matters, and that's made us feel safe.
She reached our group halfway the tour, to make sure everything was going well.
We spent a lovely week, in the middle of the nature. We are very satisfied of our holiday and thankful to Fiona for the organization.
And the parks are really amazing!!

Thanks Fiona for an unforgettable experience.
5/5

This trip was very different and interesting for me. Actually, I was going to come in June 2025, but the flights were postponed due to the war and Fiona supported me, saying that we are waiting for you whenever you come, don't worry, we will do everything we can to help you. From the beginning to the end of the tour, both the guides and the tour manager Fiona always took care of me. I had a very attentive and super few days. Thank you with the hope of coming again :)
