Very flexible, knowledgable, and capable of improvisation
It was a special tour in september 2021, because there was no fixed plan as is usually the case when you take a safari in Tanzania. It was at the end of the Covid restrictions and I decided to rent a car and driver instead of going by public transport. It was a mix of visiting people and holiday and the plan was changing from day to day. Samson was very capable of adapting himself to my ideas and give good advise. He arranged a hike into Empakaai Crater with the same ease as we did an excursion to Snake Park with six primary school kids. We also visited Lake Natron by car.
In fact it all went so well, that I convinced six people from my country to make a safari with Golden Trips and Samson this year (2023) in November I really trust everything will be fine, I will be there as well!

Passionate, proud and comforting!
Samson was a remarkable tour guide. We felt blessed that we had him leading us on our 4 day adventure through Tanzania.. from safaris to hanging with tribes.. Samson became apart of our crew and made the trip very special. He was also extremely knowledgeable about EVERYTHING.. we are very curious travelers and he was a encyclopedia of information. Thank you Samson.

Without Samson as my groups tour guide we wouldn’t have had nearly as fun a time as we did. He was knowledgeable of the area. He had great local connections that allowed us to meet very interesting people. He’s also a good luck charm on the safaris as we were one of the only groups in the entire Ngorogoro to have seen rhinos the day we went. He set us up in top-notch hotels and safe areas and always made sure that we were taken care of in all our needs. Would 10 out of 10 recommend Samson, I don’t think we would have had the memories we do. If it weren’t for him. He’s a true professional in his industry and passionate about what he does, and it shows in his work.

Samson Made the Trip
Our guide, Samson, grew up a local tribesman and knew all that there was to know about the entire country. It was captivating hearing him tell stories about how he grew up as a Maasai, living in the woods from 3 to 18 years old with his youth peers. So many stories and customs we were able to learn. We visited the last hunter gatherer tribe because he knew them. It was clear that without Samson we would not have had access to any of this, let alone even be able to learn about it. To top everything off, we saw a Rhino and 2 lions.
Samson is still our friend to this day.
The food and hotel stay was top notch. The service was seriously that of the best 5 star resort in Miami. They treat you like royalty for no reason. The hotel food is REAL FOOD, not like in America.
This was a life changing and perfect trip in all ways. Appreciation to Samson.

Optimized for finding the Big 5
Our guide, Gesper, is kind and excellent at spotting animals. We arrived during the rainy season and were worried about whether we would be able to see all five of the Big Five, but Gesper dispelled those concerns. He worked hard to find animals, and we were able to locate many of them in a short amount of time. He also answered every question we asked during the game drive in detail. I highly recommend him.

Memorable experience but minor issues
The trip on the whole was great, Ericah was fabulous with her communication, she was swift and answered all of my questions. It was evident she worked hard to make our trip as memorable as possible and was kind enough to add in some extra bonuses to our honeymoon trip.
Eddie was really good, he is very kind, answered all our questions and it is clear he is very, very knowledgeable on the animals and the surroundings.
I would say that his communication could be improved a little, we would have liked to have been kept up to date with where we were going/what we were going to see.
The accommodation was great, all the hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.
Our only negative was the numerous mechanical issues we had over our 5 days with the 4x4, which did impact our experience. Eddie did everything he could to get it working, however altogether we spent over half a day sat at break areas waiting to get moving again, which did make us feel that we were losing out to other tourists using other companies. Again, we were left out of the loop and weren't told what the issue was and how long it would take to resolve.
Overall we had an amazing trip and have memories for a lifetime, but the issue with the vehicle did leave a bitter taste. We hope Golden trips take this feedback on board, preventing this from happening to future customers.

We contacted the company to arrange our Kilimanjaro climb. Everything was organized at the highest level. From the very first moments, we were greeted and accompanied by very professional, kind, cheerful, and caring guys. After the climb to the summit, they organized a safari and a tour to the hot springs for us.
I truly enjoyed Tanzania, thanks to the team that was with us.
