Good safari on a budget
SCB Tour and Travel offers a safari experience at a price that’s more economical than most other operators. During the planning phase, Salomon was incredibly helpful and precise in recommending the perfect itinerary. We were fortunate to see all of the Big Five, thanks to their expertise and knowledge of the best routes. Having two guides was a bonus—one focused on driving while the other spotted animals, making the safari even more enjoyable.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. Time management could be better, as we missed two sunrise safaris and only saw the Ishasha sector briefly. Communication during the trip was also lacking. It would be great if the guides engaged more with guests during long drives. Additionally, a couple of the hotels didn’t meet the expected standard for European tourists, so I recommend reviewing these and considering changes.
Overall, I would recommend SCB Tour and Travel, but keep these points in mind to ensure an even better experience.

Posted on Aug 28, 2024thanks for your review and advice ,we shall do work on the time management ,though we had a great trip where we did spot everything from spoting a leopard go up the trip with a kill and of which the pictures where even posted on the ugwildlife instagram and Facebook pages and credits were given ,to lions ,elephants ,gorillas ,chimps ,giraffes among others .we did miss one sunrise game drive at Murchison Falls Np due to the heavy rain down pour and we did compensate it with another game drive aft the rain before we did leave the park for Kibale ,
then when it comes to Ishasha sector its a brief pass through because we had spotted a male lion on the tree the previous day from the same sector and also the safety of the place
we managed to even get a glimpse of a lion hunting in Murchison Falls
Paid for a 21 day high quality safari through Kenya, Tanzania and zanzibar
We paid $17317 usd for a 21 day exclusive safari holiday staryifrom Niarobi, when we landed their was noone, I mean noone their for us.
The guide that scb tours supplied had not turned up, no help from solomon bwanga, we had to pay another $8000 usd to get a holiday and was promised refund by end of January 2025.
We have been fighting for this refund ever since and as today April 22nd 2025 we have had nothing.
They have stopped communicating not even the owners of the company have contacted us, ever.
They will come here with all sorts of excuses, but we are out of pocket.
Check their Facebook page that has been hacked.
Their ticktok page is blocked from comments.
Their Instagram is hacked.
Their web page is blocked.
And solomon business whatsapp is supposedly not working only in the office.
Check the terms and conditions as they will say they are not responsible for anything that goes wrong.
The hotels and safari are not what is ordered but upto the guide you get.
If we get our money back we will of course change this comment.
I have no problem if you contact us for the full truth. We have nothing to hide.

Incredible just recommend him for everyone
We had an incredible trip to many of Uganda’s national parks with our 3 teenage boys. This experience would not have been possible without the knowledgeable guides at scb tours and travel ,their knowledge of the geography, roads, animals and birds in the parks was exceptional. Having been on safaris elsewhere in Africa, I can vouch for his skill in navigating the parks and searching for wildlife. We even saw lions and leopards (notoriously difficult to see). Guides appears to know everybody in the tourism sector and so is able to manage the bureaucracy involved in any visit with ease and is always on your side getting the best deals and experiences available. This makes for a very smooth and trouble free experience for us travellers.scb tours and travel has very safe drivers who have knowledge of Uganda’s road system is first class
i would say the ensure one gets the best experience
at first i doubted that SCB would give me the experience o have ever wanted but was told by a friend to give it a try and i never regret working together with SCB in my travels and i preparing to have more with them, since they offer fair prices and better services

Excellent
The chimpanzees and gorilla tracking were special but the transit in between the locations is what will leave a permanent impression on me. Seeing how people live throughout the southeastern Ugandan countryside, and talking with my driver on long drives were at least as much my favorite parts, as the main attractions were. Lake Bunyonyi is a magical place especially, I believe, since I was there by myself. My driver/guide Bwanga was very friendly, resourceful, and patient. I am grateful.

In our sentence u can say Best trip to jinja and sipi mostly coz we had fun
we were really lucky to have him as our guide (and friend)Solomon . Everytime we met, we laughed till our bellies hurt. He learned us so much on every aspect in Ugandan life: culture, nature, religion, the best foods etc. All our trips were Murchison, Queen Elizabeth, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mburo, kibale forest, bwindi Np, Sipi Falls and Jinja,… We saw the best views, stayed at the nicest places and had a good dose of adrenaline. We would really recommend the abseiling in Sipi and rafting in Jinja! He has a lot of experience as a guide which shows and knows how to add a personal touch to your trips.
