One of the most incredible aspects of this Amboseli safari was the sheer diversity of wildlife I encountered. The open-air vehicles a spectacular view of the African savanna, and it wasn't long before we encountered our first group of elephants. Watching these magnificent creatures gracefully walk in mother nature was amazing. The knowledgeable guides shared fascinating facts about each species, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of the animals. We had an absolutely unforgettable safari experience with Imara Africa Safaris. Everything was handled professionally from start to finish. Communication with Wendy and Lewis was excellent, and the whole team worked seamlessly together. A special mention goes to our driver Simon, who not only drove us safely everywhere but also enriched our journey with fascinating insights about the wildlife and life in Africa.
The price was very reasonable and, compared to experiences we've had, truly excellent value for money.
The highlight was the amazing tailor-made wedding they organized for us directly on the safari—truly the cherry on top. It was our first time in Kenya, but definitely not our last, and we are already planning another trip with Imara Africa Safaris to Tanzania and Uganda.

Imara made Kenya unforgettable
Our trip through Kenya with Imara was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, everything was perfectly planned, flawlessly executed, and genuinely personal. Every transfer was smooth, every detail taken care of — we never had to think about logistics once.
The lodges they picked were spot-on — each one matched exactly what we wanted, from the Nairobi stay to the safari camps and finally the stunning beach resort. The safari itself was phenomenal. Our guide and driver, Patrick, was outstanding — knowledgeable, patient, funny, and clearly passionate about what he does. Thanks to him, we saw and learned far more than we ever expected.
Imara also surprised us with moments we’ll never forget — like a completely private sundowner deep in the Mara, complete with a chef, bar setup, and a Maasai dance celebration just for us. It felt surreal — like something out of a film.
In Nairobi, Edward was an excellent guide — engaging, insightful, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He even introduced us to a brilliant local spot for the best grilled fish imaginable.
We travel often, but this experience stands out as one of the most thoughtful and well-crafted trips we’ve ever taken. Imara didn’t just plan a vacation — they created memories we’ll talk about for a lifetime.

Traveling through Kenya with Imara was beyond anything we could have imagined — truly next-level service, care, and attention. Imara went above and beyond at every single point of our journey, making the entire trip not just smooth, but effortless. Their resort recommendations were spot on — each property was exceptional and perfectly chosen for what we wanted (right from Nairobi, to th safari spots, and the beautiful beach resort). We had the very best safari experience we have ever had, with an absolutely outstanding safari guide & driver, Patrick — super knowledgeable, warm, patient, deeply experienced, and so passionate about wildlife. We learned so much, saw so much more than we ever expected, and had the time of our lives. Patrick was the best!!
We were also treated to some truly once-in-a-lifetime moments, including a private intimate sundowner in the middle of Masai Mara that felt straight out of a movie — we were made to feel so special. That memory alone would have been worth the trip — but the entire experience was like that, over and over again.
Our Nairobi day was equally exceptional — Edward was an excellent city guide: engaging, incredibly informative, and a pleasure to spend time with. He also took us to the best local restaurant for the freshest local fish one could eat!
Imara is the reason this trip was unforgettable. We have travelled a lot — and this stands out as one of the best, most thoughtfully-crafted journeys we have ever taken.

An Unforgettable East Africa Safari Experience with Imara Africa Safaris! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I had the absolute privilege of going on a 12-day East Africa safari with Imara Africa Safaris in September 2025, and it was beyond anything we could have dreamed of. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized, and every day brought new wonders. We covered 3 incredible countries — Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda — each offering its own unique charm and wildlife experiences.
In Kenya, we explored Hell’s Gate, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, and Amboseli National Park. Our guide, Martin, was amazing — knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about wildlife. He made every game drive exciting, helping us spot the Big Five and many more! Watching elephants in Amboseli with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background and seeing lions and cheetahs in Maasai Mara were moments we’ll never forget. In Tanzania, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater took our breath away. The landscapes were stunning, and the abundance of wildlife was beyond our expectations. We did the Gorilla Trek in Uganda and coming face-to-face with a family of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat was one of the most moving and unforgettable experiences of our lives. For Tanzania and Uganda/Rwanda, Imara Africa Safaris worked with their trusted partners, Active Wonders Safari and Peak Cruise Safaris, and the coordination between the teams was outstanding. Every transfer, lodge, and park visit ran smoothly, and the guides in each country were equally professional and passionate.
A huge thank-you to the entire Imara Africa Safaris team for their exceptional organization, warm hospitality, and attention to detail. The lodges and camps were wonderful, the transfers were seamless, and we always felt safe and well cared for. A special mention goes to Lewis, whose communication was exceptional from the very beginning. He was always responsive, transparent, and patient, answering every question promptly and thoroughly. The payment process was smooth and well-coordinated — we felt completely safe and confident handling everything across continents. At the end of our trip, Wendy personally came to greet us at our hotel (where we had a short stay before our flight) and kindly ensured we had lunch arranged and our airport transfer taken care of. Her thoughtful gesture made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and at home — a perfect ending to a wonderful journey.

We just completed tge Safari Tour with Imara Africa safaris and it was exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, We had an early morning pick up at 6 am, everything was thoughtfully organized, stress-free, and got support for quick immigration as well. This company goes above and beyond to deliver a truly personalized and authentic experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to explore the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of Kenya. All thanks to Miss. WENDY WAMBUI for her constant support in ammending the plans and adjusting them accordingly to our needs, very quick response on whatsapp and also thank you for planning a surprise birthday for my wife.
A special shoutout goes to our guide, Mr.ANTHONY who was absolutely terrific. His deep knowledge of the animals, parks, and local culture brought every moment to life. He had a very good knowledge of where the wild animals usually rest and was very prompt to take us there right in time — the three things I would like to highlight is his effort to show us the lioness hunting a zebra from start to having a meal of a zebra and from elusive leopards lounging in trees to entire herds of elephants crossing the savannah. His passion for conservation and love for Kenya was evident in every conversation, and he made sure we were always safe, comfortable, and fully immersed in the experience.
Anthony was also incredibly friendly, professional, and patient. Whether we were asking questions, taking photos, or making unscheduled stops for those magical moments, he was always accommodating and helpful. Thanks to him, we saw the BIG FIVE and to mention again the hunting.
We wholeheartedly recommend Imara Safari Tours to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. If I were to come back again in a couple of years Anthony would be my go to guide if possible.
