a truly one of a kind, bespoke adventure!
there is no real easy way to describe the amazing itinerary put together by rose and the luxury safari company other than out of this world!
there was no detail that was overlooked by her -- amazing attention to detail and thoughtful planning for every step of our journey throughout botswana. we stayed at top notch, luxury camps -- all of which had their own special guides, staff, food, excursions, decor -- you name it. truly magical experiences at Jack's Camp, Tuludi, Khwai Leadwood, and last but not least, Xigera.
i would recommend the luxury safari company to anyone who is looking for an out of this world experience on safari in africa!

Absolutely brilliant trip from start to finish
Planning for our trip started a year before covid and the company helped put together an amazing three week itinerary across Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda involving three very different game lodges and a gorilla trek. Covid delayed things by a year and added vastly to the complexity but Rose and her staff did an exceptional job of steering us through visa issues, a new quarantine requirment in Rwanda which meant an extra day, the need for new longhaul flights when BA cancelled all kenya flights and the constantly changing covid test (8 in total) and paperwork requirements
The advice on choice of lodges was first rate - we stayed at Saruni Samburu, Nomad Lamai and Singita Sabora and they were all superb but very different experiences. In Rwanda Sabyinyo Silverback lodge proved a superb base for two days of gorilla trekking. Although having a private driver and vehicle sounded expensive when the company suggested it, it was more than worth the cost as it gave us complete flexibility to determine each days program, mostly to take much longer drives than is standard with picnic breakfasts provided to avoid an early return to the lodge.
Throughout the trip Rose and staff were available 24/7 for the few minor admin glitches that arose around covid test timings and to answer queries. Our last minute request for a private 4WD and guide at our final camp was organised in hours. This was not a cheap trip but it was superb value as we saw and did everything we had hoped for and more.

Perfect from start to finish!
We had such a wonderful experience with The Luxury Safari Company. Rose was so helpful in every way. We originally planned to travel in March 2020 and after we were canceled due to Covid restrictions, Rose was right there to work with us on new dates. We had zero fees for rebooking and she was able to get us exactly the same trip- just two years later! The trip was seamless from the pick up in Johannesburg, through customs, and to the driver. Once we got to the driver, he knew us all by name and was knowledgeable about the area. He said he had driven to our lodge at least 500 times. We felt completely safe and comfortable. The Marataba Safari lodge was absolutely magical. The service was amazing and again, when we arrived, they had our names, itinerary, and even knew our food allergies. Rose had sent them everything we needed for a truly once in a lifetime trip. The drive to the second lodge was just as seamless. The luxury safari company really listened to what we wanted out of this trip and it far exceeded our expectations. We would gladly book again with them and will be telling everyone to use them for safari trips. The level of detail in planning was absolutely flawless and if anything went wrong (which it didn’t!) we knew Rose was just a call or email away. Highly, highly recommended!

Rose listened to our wishes needs & wants... and she overdeliverd!
As we are experienced Africa & Safari Travelers this was about “ticking off 2 of our bucket lists items: Giraffe Manor and the Great Migrations.
Rose designed the trip brilliantly around these items and found a way to make the trip authentic African with a “bit of roughness” in the bush, perfectly timed and deliver on the bucket list items. Choices of camps and itinerary were great and "designed" for our needs and expectations.
During the trip we had 2-3 small “usual” hick ups. Her reactivity and accessibility were outstanding, and it is obvious she has lived in these regions. Her support was very good.
If you look for tailor made that “delivers” look no further!

Exceptional Knowledge and Personalized Service - An Amazing Experience!
Thank you, Rose, for an amazing Africa experience! Our family of 4 (kids ages 12 and 16) travelled to Zim (Deteema Springs) and Zam (Sausage Tree and Mchenja) and every detail was taken care of seamlessly. After receiving a brief description of the kind of safari experience we were hoping for, Rose nailed it with a customized itinerary that exceeded all expectations. Her first-hand knowledge of the countries, camps, and operators is exemplary. No need to sort through the myriad of options - every camp offered a different experience and excellent service. Logistics were seamless, including both charter light planes, scheduled flights, and transfers to remote camps; Rose was always just a WhatsApp message away if we had any questions or if there were any bumps along the way. I would not hesitate to recommend Rose and her team if you are looking for an amazing Africa experience!

Wonderful game drives, canoe and walking safaris, top-notch accommodation and great food.
The Luxury Safari Company were invaluable when VA messed up our flights, finding alternatives so that we didn't miss any time in camp.

Luxury Safari Company is above and beyond
This is the second trip we have taken with the Luxury Safari Company and it keeps on getting better. From the initial inquiry to where we should go this time Rose has the experience and the knowledge to suggest an itinerary that would meet everyone needs. The attention to detail I think is what makes this company stand out from the rest. Rose’s communication skills are excellent. When you ask a question she gets back to you right away. Rose has travelled to a lot of the camps she has suggested so she knows the level of service and accommodation you will be provided with ..it’s called the Luxury Safari company for a reason. The service from Rose and all the camps we have experienced above and beyond. This is definitely in the higher end bracket of cost but honestly ..you pay for what you get. It is definitely worth it. You will not be disappointed. When travelling outside of your own country you definitely want to deal with a tour operator who is reliable and this is where the Luxury Safari company excels. I would highly suggest if you are planning a trip to Africa you look no further .
Fantastic
We booked our trip to Tanzania through Rose, at the Luxury Safari Company. She did a phenomenal job of arranging our trip and every detail was taken care of. We asked to see the migration and were set up with under canvas And Beyond in the south Serengiti, which was absolutely wonderful. Next we traveled to Namiri Plains to see the big cats, also wonderful. Zanzibar was our final destination - a place to relax after Safari. The Zawadi hotel was exquisite. TLSC managed everything, including transfers. I also appreciated using the Vamoos app which was a great asset in seeing what was next on our agenda. I appreciated the attention to detail, like recommendations for tipping, which I often find stressful. I'd have no reservations in recommending TLSC to anyone!

Excellent Safari Resource
We spoke to several safari travel specialists when we began planning, and ultimately booked through TLSC. Even though we were focused on Tanzania, the range of options is still overwhelming. Rose seemed to be most attuned to our objectives - a luxury safari at a fair (albeit not inexpensive) value - in comparison to other booking companies. We booked our flights to/from the US to Tanzania, and once we passed through customs and baggage claim at JRO, TLSC took care of the rest - from airport / hotel transfers and intra-country flights to our uber-comfortable and exclusive accommodations with andBeyond Serengeti, Namiri Plains, and Zawadi Hotel in Zanzibar. We got what we asked for - a seamless, serene, intimate, and well-cared for 11 nights of adventure and relaxation.
