Tour operator and guide,James Mwaura, are diligent and responsible, taking good care of us.
Although the tour operator and guide ,James Mwaura, were good, the campsite built by the Super Eagles ruined the experience. Such a good global company should not provide clients with an unfinished campsite.

Complicated traveling, lots of animal encounters, but also lots of non-essential payments occurring
Overall Rating: The overall travel experience was acceptable, but near the end of the trip, we realized there were communication misdirections and cost traps that led to many unnecessary expenses.
Main Issues:
1️⃣ Guide Replacement Without Prior Notice
* Our contracted guide, Wilson, was unexpectedly replaced with Alvin (no advance notice). While Alvin performed reasonably well later, this uncommunicated change felt disrespectful.
2️⃣ Excessive Cost Traps
* We were encouraged to join a "nature walk" (not disclosed as a paid activity upfront), which was of little value. Upon finishing the brief 20-minute walk, they demanded $30/person. After negotiation, we only paid $30 for the entire group.
* During the Masai Mara Safari, an on-site ranger was arranged to accompany us to see hippos and crocodiles, after which we were charged $10/person. Conversations with other tourists later confirmed this activity is typically free.
* Nakuru Crescent Island Hike: Besides the $20/person boat fee, we were charged an additional $20/person "island hiking fee". We later verified through social media and other travelers that the specific area we hiked in is free. Furthermore, we were rushed throughout the short (under 20 min) hike and not taken to the island center. The actual standard island hike costs $33, lasts over 40 minutes, and includes photo opportunities with animals in the center. (We were not informed of this option nor given a choice).
3️⃣ Poor Safari Timing Caused Itinerary Reduction
* Amboseli park tickets are valid for 24 hours. Due to the guide's incorrect scheduling of the Safari time (done without consultation), our contractually agreed-upon final day Morning Safari was canceled. They knew how to schedule correctly to allow us an extra Safari, but we were neither consulted nor given options. Our complaint to the office received no reasonable response.
4️⃣ Unprofessional Guide Conduct
* On the last day, we paid $180 to extend the jeep hire. We confirmed an itinerary (Giraffe Centre -> Market -> Restaurant - guide specified). We indicated we'd decide on the restaurant that day. Midway through the planned activities, we requested to change restaurants, offering 2-3 options within the distance range the guide himself had suggested, but he refused them all. While searching for a new restaurant (which took less than 15 minutes), the guide decided we were taking too long. Without any discussion, he abruptly drove us directly to the airport. We arrived around 3 PM without having lunch/dinner and had to wait 4 hours before we could even enter the terminal for security and food.
Highlights:
✅ Guide Alvin was proactive in tracking animals: He ensured close-up sightings of most animals (we saw nearly everything except a leopard).
✅ During Safaris, the guide actively shared knowledge about animals and nature, enriching the overall experience.
"Alvin was exceptionally personable — assisting with luggage daily and even buying us fruits. We tipped him generously with daily gifts, developing a friendly rapport that made the later conflict particularly disheartening."
Conclusion: While the wildlife viewing experience met expectations, issues with chaotic management, opaque pricing, and guide negligence were significant. We advise exercising caution when choosing this operator.

Not bad, but can improve
Here is the review of our 7 day safari tour with Super Eagles
1. Communication
- Charity was very helpful both before and after the tour. She managed to answer all questions I had regarding the tour and was very accommodating for every request. We had to modify our tour plans several times before departure but it was arranged with no difficulty.
2. Driver
- Our driver John was one of the best driver I've met in Kenya. He drove safely from one location to another. He also helped our team find lost bag on the way.
3. Overall organization
- Unfortunately, overall organization of the tour did not meet our expectation. Here are the reasons
: We booked for a private tour and paid extra money. But it was only on the departure day that we realized they put us with 2 other strangers in a small tour van. We complained but the operator initially tried to put us with them and refund the extra money instead of arranging a private tour for us. We insisted and was put on a private tour at the end though it delayed 1 or 2 hours.
: We were also told on our departure day that the hot air balloon tour which we were supposed to do was not confirmed. I had hard time understanding the situation, for we booked the tour few months in advance which gave operator enough time.
: It was only when we arrived at Amboseli National Park that the accommodation we were supposed to be at was overbooked and that we had to be relocated to a different hotel in town, which was about half an hour away. It could have been communicated earlier. Also the new inn the operator tried to put us in was completely different from what we expected. We insisted to go for another one and was arranged accordingly.
4. Conclusion
- This was a budget safari. If we were to expect a perfect tour, we should have go for luxury so I think it was of good value for money.
- However, there are always rooms for improvement. I sincerely wish that these reviews be taken into consideration so that the operator provide more pleasant, memorable safaris in the future.

Budget tour
11-18 Aug (8 day Adventure budget group sharing tour)
Owner Mr Richard is available to troubleshoot problems. Hospitality was ok.
Pricing - Budget, reasonable (cutting corners is visible)
Travel - Very bad. They changed vehicles and drivers everyday. The condition of vehicles was very old and shattered. Great to get bodyaches.
The drivers were not punctual. On 1st day masai Mara we got only 90 min of Safari. 2nd day driver started 1 hour late and exited the park 2 hrs early. The drivers took park entry tickets but never showed us. The way they did it, seemed fishy.
Stay
Masai Mara - Lenchada tents - stay is ok, food is ok
Nakuru - Hotel Hill Court- very good
Naivasha - Hotel Leisure Apex - Good
Amboseli - Nyati Safari camp - Very good
Despite assuring water on all 8 days, they provided water only on day1 and 2. We had to buy over priced water from the accommodation premises.

Amazing Safari but Poor Management in Tanzania
The complete experience is amazing but the organization in Kenya and Tanzania are really different.
Kenya: everything was really good. Daisy was really nice and careful from the day of the booking in January. Our guides (Derrick and Richard) were really nice and prepared. The camp sites and hotels are low budget but clean and functional. Maybe sometime there is too much hurry during the game drives and the customers are not really warned about the fact that if you don't choose to make the optional visit (as Lake Naivasha boat trip) you have to wait in the car. Total: 4.5/5 stars!
Tanzania: Super Eagles Tours doesn't manage the tour and gives the organization of everything to Seven Wonder Safari. Almost a complete failure. At Namanga border you need to wait (at least 1 or 2 hours) that a certain guy lets you get on the bus to Arusha (you can leave just when the bus is full of people) without any explanation. Our plan was almost totally changed: DAY 1 --> it was scheduled evening game drive safari (at least 3 hours) but instead there was an eternal and uncomfortable (9 ppl total in a van with 8 seats) journey to Serengeti (arrived at the entrance at 16.30) because of several and useless stop in gift shops along the road with a 2 hours rush to the campsite and some stop to watch animals. DAY 2 --> the optional Olduvai Gorge stop was removed and replaced with a Maasai village visit and the people that were not interested had to wait in the car. DAY 3 --> the scheduled plan was at least 6 hours game drive with packed lunch inside the Ngorongoro crater but our experience was entrance in the park at 8.30 and at 12.15 back at the camp site to have lunch. The game drive was done without any radio (the driver couldn't know if there were specific animals in specific part of the crater) for just 2 hours and half, with a very long stop for coffee and rest. Such a shame for one of the most wonderful places on Earth. Besides they probably should inform better the costumers about the fact that customers will camp in tent in public camp sites. The guides were nice and the food really good but the change of the plan really disappointing. Total: 2/5
We booked all the trip with Super Eagles so they need to be responsible for all the journey, Tanzania included. The experience was really amazing but the Tanzanian organization very disappointing.

Not the best experience
We did 10 days safari tour in Kenya and Tanzania. The tour itself is provide by Super eagles travel and tours, but the part in Tanzania is provide by another company in our case it was 7 wonders.
The part in Kenya was good, nice guide he did his best to show us as much as he could during the safari, good accommodations, good food.
But the part in Tanzania was horrible.
- they forgot to pick us up on the first day in Tanzania, we were waiting for 3 hours at the reception, they didn’t let us know about departure day before we had to ask at the reception about departure, rest of the group had to wait for us whole day, it made them nervous and angry and because of that the atmosphere in the group wasn’t friendly everyone was complaining about something
- during safari our car broke down(what we understand, it can happen), and they were repairing the car for 3 hours, they found three different problem with the car which had to be fixed and we don’t think so all of them happened in the same moment it means there is a lack of car maintenance, instead of repairing the car for long time they should solve the situation by another vehicle and tour should continue by the schedule, due to delay our way to campsite was during the dark and we came to camp at 10pm, we didn’t eat for 9 hours,
- on every stop like entrance to the parks and so on, we waited for sooooo long everywhere compare to other cars
- our guide didn’t even have a radio to communicate with other guide in national park, due to that we didn’t see what we could
We recommend super eagles travel and tour, but just the tours provide only by them.

a safari experience that deviated from the expected itinerary
I had booked a seven-day safari with Super Eagles, upgrading my accommodation for added comfort. Unfortunately, the journey didn't unfold as expected. Sharing a minibus with five strangers from different agencies was unexpected, and accommodation issues even led to a missed booking. The lodging arrangements didn't match the initial plan. Despite the prime wildlife viewing times being sunrise and sunset, our schedule rarely accommodated this. Additionally, the addition of two new travelers resulted in a shortened visit to Nakuru Park, allowing them to catch another minibus. Two new travelers joined later, forcing us to cut short our Nakuru Park visit so they could catch another minibus.

Disappointing Safari Experience with Super Eagles
We booked a 6-day safari with Super Eagles Agency in August. While the trip had some highlights, our overall experience left us feeling disappointed and misled.
Pros
- Good itinerary: Covering Amboseli and Masai Mara in one trip gave us the chance for great game-viewing potential.
- Fantastic sightings: Our driver ensured we saw incredible wildlife.
- Accommodation: Comfortable beds with mosquito nets; simple but fine.
Cons
- Lack of guiding: Although the driver secured great sightings, he gave almost no explanations about animals or locations. He rarely communicated the plan for the day and answered questions coldly and with minimal effort. I have been to many safaris in South Africa that had fantastic guides, but this was nowhere close to the quality of previous experiences.
- Misleading itinerary: We were paired with travelers on different itineraries, forcing us to wait or pay extra for activities we never agreed to. This was never communicated beforehand. We ended up doing things we hadn’t planned for, while missing what we had actually booked. We felt cheated.
- Reduced safari time: We had paid for one full-day and one half-day safari in Amboseli and Masai Mara. Instead, the second day in each park was reduced to about one hour only, nothing close to what was promised. When we complained, the agency offered no compensation or solution.
- Meals: The food was repetitive—mostly cold chicken, the same meal across six days. Acceptable for a budget option, but still disappointing.
- Constant attempts to overcharge: Beyond the agency, nearly everywhere we went we felt pressured, manipulated, or overcharged. For example, being asked to pay $25 for a fridge magnet worth $3–4. This created a constant sense of being scammed.
Final Thoughts
While the parks themselves and the wildlife are breathtaking, our experience with Super Eagles Agency was deeply disappointing. The lack of honesty, communication, and respect for the itinerary made us feel cheated. We cannot recommend this agency and strongly advise others to consider alternatives if they want a transparent, reliable safari experience.

Pre tour service is good but I didnt feel the same during the tour
Hello,
I would like to start by saying that the people sitting in HO are providing good and accurate services.
Costing seems good too.
My major disheartening was service provided during the tour.
I feel the guides assigned to me were not so keen to make my experience memorable.
I did two national parks- Masai Mara and Amboseli.
During Masai Maara, I felt my guide was not giving us adequate information. His driving skills were amazing but he would not follow where mass people were going, I felt he wanted to look for animals on his own and the result was our spotting was less compared to other people in the park on the same days.
Coming to Amboseli, our guide was informative, but I had a feeling he gave us less of a safari time and rushing to the drop point than what was planned and charged to us by giving some excuse of a protest at the border. (Which we confirmed to be false, later on reaching the border)
While tipping is encouraged I didn’t feel the guides were good enough for the same. We did still tip one of the guide.
So I suggest please be very clear while planning itself and convey beforehand that itinerary to be followed.
Lastly , even after all of this I would still say Masai Maara is definitely a place to visit. Thank you
I have purposely refrained from using any names here.
