Amazing Trip with Uganda Family Tours and Travel !!!
I had an amazing trip with Uganda Family Tours and Travel in December of 2023. This was my first safari as well as my first trip to Africa, and it far exceeded my expectations! I went on a 10-day safari, during which time we experienced most of Uganda.
During our trip we saw not only the big 5 but also the gorillas and the chimps. Our guide was Jackson Otwikende who we got to know well over the course of those 10 days. Not only is Jackson a sensational guide, but he's also very professional, incredibly kind and personable, and displays a great sense of humor. In addition, Jackson is highly knowledgeable and has a wealth of information when it comes to all things about the wildlife. His love for his country, its history, the people, and their culture was evident throughout our trip.
I would highly recommend Ugandan Family Tours and Travel, and especially Jackson!

Perfect for solo female travelers
My guide was Jackson O. He met me at the airport with a welcoming smile and a wonderful spirit.
As a solo female traveler, first impressions and gut instincts are paramount - I immediately felt at ease. Jackson was open to all my questions and shared the real Uganda with me. He is an expert on all things Uganda: history, economy, agriculture, social fabric, and politics. He tells it like it is, which can be a rare quality among those in the tourism industry. He was a true gentlemen and gave me good advice on many things: how to get a thorn out of my finger, which hotels to stay at, and which tours were suitable.
Jackson O. possesses the rare quality of being able to adapt to what the client wants and needs- very good people skills.
Well done, Uganda Family Tours!

Our expectations were exceeded End to End
Our recent 5-day tour organized by Uganda Family Tours was nothing short of extraordinary. This adventure included both chimpanzee and mountain gorilla trekking, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Jackson was an exceptional guide. His expertise and passion for the culture and wildlife truly enhanced our experience. Jackson's attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel comfortable and well-cared for throughout the journey. We shared very nice conversations about history, culture and wildlife in Uganda.
He was also a very careful driver always making us feel safe on every road we traveled.
The chimpanzee trekking was an amazing start to our adventure. Trekking through the lush Kibale Forest, we encountered playful and curious chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
The highlight, however, was the mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This once-in-a-lifetime experience left us in awe.
Uganda Family Tours arranged everything seamlessly. The accommodations were comfortable with scenic views, the food was very good, and the itinerary was perfectly planned. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and wonder of Uganda.
If you are looking for a well-organized, educational, and truly magical wildlife adventure, this is the tour for you. Thank you, Jackson, for an unforgettable journey!
Kind regards,
Anaïs and Jan

Extremely professional and considerate
This safari in Uganda was an experience that will forever be etched in my memory. From the amazing gorillas to the vast savannas filled with wildlife, this adventure surpassed all expectations. But what truly made this journey extraordinary was our exceptional guide, Jackson.
Jackson's passion for Uganda's wildlife and landscapes was evident from the moment we met. He possessed a deep knowledge of all the sights and a keen eye for spotting animals.
One unforgettable moment was when I almost got run over by gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
In conclusion, our Uganda safari with Jackson as our guide was an exceptional adventure. His passion, knowledge, and commitment to providing an unforgettable experience made this journey truly special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an immersive and enriching wildlife encounter in the heart of Africa.

A Gateway to Unforgettable Adventures and Lasting Memories
I had the pleasure of embarking on a 2 night, 3 day tour of Murchison National Park Safari in Uganda with an exceptional tour guide. This experience was truly unforgettable, thanks to the guide's Living from Uganda Family Tour extensive knowledge, professionalism, and passion for the region.
Throughout the journey, the guide demonstrated a deep understanding of the park's flora and fauna, enriching our exploration with fascinating insights and anecdotes. Their ability to spot wildlife and point out significant landmarks added immeasurable value to the trip.
Moreover, the guide's friendly and accommodating nature created a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for the entire group. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the journey.
The itinerary was well planned, allowing us to witness the park's diverse ecosystems, from the powerful Murchison Falls to the vast savannah teeming with wildlife. The guide's commentary provided context to our surroundings, making the experience both educational and awe inspiring.
Overall, the tour guide played a pivotal role in making this excursion to Murchison National Park an enriching and memorable adventure. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a well guided and immersive experience in this remarkable natural habitat.
Most reliable, responsible and fun way to go Gorilla trekking!
Living and Adams were amazing tour guides, they took me and my two female friends on a memorable trip to Uganda for gorilla trekking. They were very warm, respectful and always cared about our best interests whether that was making technical stops for restrooms in the road, getting to an ATM, or just engaging in a quite unique conversation about Uganda and its people.
They would always help us troubleshoot and took us safely from Kigali to Uganda.
The food was very good, there were even vegetarian options, and the only thing that is not included is beverages other than limitless bottled waters in the car.
The hotel is supported by a local NGO, and the earnings continue to help the local community to redistribute water through a water-spring supporting project they started. For us, this represented sustainable tourism.
The guides and trackers were very professional and explained to us everything we needed to know.
Finally, the gorilla trekking was AMAZING! One of the best in a lifetime experiences that anybody visiting Rwanda or Uganda should definitely go for.
