Responsive, accommodating, adventure!!
Had an EXCELLENT experience coordinating with Lucy for our 4 day 3 night safari. Lucy was very responsive and quickly sent out multiple quotes based on different accommodation budget/types, so I had options to choose from.
I definitely recommend going for their budget tent camp option, Mara Olodare. Way better than the Lenchada camp that the others in my group went to. Incredible food and hospitable staff! We had an amazing stay.
Great tour groups as well, and tour guides that were flexible on what the group wanted to do. Value for money was great.

They were easy, quick, flexible, and created an amazing safari experience!
I requested a quote only a couple days before the dates for the trip, and they did an amazing job booking everything quickly and exactly as advertised. Peter was the driver and helped set everything up and did an amazing job driving in very muddy conditions where other vehicles got stuck. He also went out of his way to talk to the rangers and make sure we saw a cheetah at the very end at our last chance. I definitely recommend this company and to go on a safari with Peter!

Reliable service, fun and adventure
Before booking, I had no idea what I would get. I found Lucy online and I just went with the flow. Well, I had a really life experience to be honest. The safari was great and the people I met were awesome, we had a blust! So much fun, I will never forget it. Thank you so much Lucy! Kenya is an amazing country!!

Amazing experience.
We're just back from an amazing 3 day safari in the Masai Mara. Lucy was brilliant, everything from the professional quote she issued, to her timely responses to my questions. She explained everything so well and made the booking so easy. Our driver was Anthony, who is an exceptionally experienced and skilled driver. After a huge thunderstorm with extremely heavy rain he was able to get us to waterlogged parts of the park that other drivers could not, even stopping along the way to rescue another vehicle from the mud. He made it his priority that we saw all the animals and his sharp eyes ensured that we did.
We stayed in Jambo Mara Lodge which was perfect. The glass lodges are exactly like in the photos!
We had an amazing experience and I would not hesitate in recommending Savannah Woods Safaris.

Perfect
I would like to thank Alvin who was our guide for 3 days in the Masai Mara. He managed to pass on his passion for the savannah to us in such a short time. Alvin was helpful and always listened to us. He was flexible on pick-up times. ultimately alvin is a funny and passionate person. I loved spending this stay with him. I recommend it. The Savannah Woods company was also impeccable. All my questions were answered and everything was organized perfectly.

Professional, responsive and considerate
I had a fantastic Safari in Masai Mara thanks to Lucy and the team. Lucy was extremely professional, responsive and considerate. Moreover, Lucy went extra miles to help answer and plan my time in Nairobi, even thought I booked only the Masai Mara activities. Our game drive to Masai Mara was very friendly and knowledgeable, through whom we learnt a lot about Kenya and Masai Mara. Last but not least, the Safari quote was detailed, straightforward and its pricing was fair (in my point of view) and transparent. I highly recommend Savannah Woods Safari if you’re new to Kenya and/or Safari.

Perfect experience!
Everything went perfect with Savannah Woods Safaris. The communication upfront with Lucy gave you a good and safe feeling about traveling to Africa for the first time. Going on safari with the best guide and National park expert Patrick was simply stunning. We saw every animal we wanted to see and upclose enough to get a glimpse of these amazing creatures. Patrick was very knowledgeable, he shared with us useful information in regards to the animals and the parkin general. The safari was satisfying as we couldn't ask for more. Best Safari!
I was in Nairobi for a short visit and I decided to do the morning safari at the Nairobi National Park because I've heard great things about it. This was my first time going for a safari and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. The landscapes were stunning, the animals were spectacular. We were able to see zebras, lions, giraffes, and even the very rare animal rhino. It was absolutely wonderful. Our guide Mark was smart, funny, very knowledgeable and polite. The experience was so wonderful that I recommended a friend for the same tour. He travelled the following weekend and also enjoyed the experience. Thank you Savannah Woods Safaris for this wonderful experience, one that I will always remember.

Well organized and reliable that goes beyond expectations!

A safari dream
Our safari adventure began when we contacted Savannah Woods Safari and from the very first message we knew we were in good hands. Lucy was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was incredibly responsive, patient, and helpful, answering all our questions and making sure every detail was taken care of. What impressed us most was that her support didn't stop once the trip started! She continued checking in and helping whenever needed, which gave us great peace of mind.
We chose a 6 days safari trip, covering Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken.
A huge part of that experience was thanks to our guide, Papa John. He is truly exceptional. His knowledge of the parks, wildlife and animal behaviour was remarkable, and his ability to spot animals was nothing short of incredible. Thanks to his expertise, we managed to see all of the Big Five, including a leopard, which many visitors never get to see. He always seemed to know exactly where to be and when, giving us amazing wildlife sightings and fantastic photo opportunities. Beyond that, he was friendly, professional, passionate about his work, and made every game drive enjoyable and exciting.
The Sopa Lodges were also excellent. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious and varied, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable.
We would highly recommend this itinerary, Savannah Woods Safari and especially Papa John as a guide. If you're lucky enough to have him leading your safari, make sure you clear plenty of space on your phone or camera, you'll come home with hundreds of incredible photos and unforgettable memories!
