The driver was good and knowledgeable.
The safari was good, the vehicle was well maintained. Only bummer is they fill it with all 7 people and during Safari no-one wants to sit in the back seat as the view is limited.
Otherwise, we could see most of the big five except the rhino and buffalo

Amazing Solo Safari Experience at Amboseli!
I was looking for a tour to Amboseli when this operator popped up. They provided a clear quote with transparent fees and a detailed itinerary. It was a 2-day, 1-night stay at Ol Tukai Lodge — such a beautiful lodge with a great atmosphere! (Beware of the monkeys.)
Lucy was in constant communication, which made me feel safe and well taken care of throughout the tour, especially since I was traveling solo. The accommodation was great, and the food provided was good as well. I had the car all to myself, so it wasn’t crowded at all.
The game drive was fun. Anthony, my guide, was a fun and flexible guy. I also requested Lucy to arrange dinner at a local eatery before my flight, and had the best Nyama Choma!
Pro tip: Shop at the Ol Tukai Lodge gift shop first before heading to Goldfinch Curious Arts & Gallery. Some items, like caps and shirts, are cheaper at Ol Tukai — and you don’t have to haggle!

Savannah Woods planned and provided a holiday exactly as we planned with good communication.
We spent a lot of time planning the trip with Savannah Woods, they helped us to plan the trip exactly as we wanted it to our budget. Their communication was good and they responded quickly to enquiries. Once planned, the trip went as planned, the guide we had was absolutely fabulous and Savannah Woods checked in with us throughout the trip to ensure all was going well. It was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very good with our 6 year old. He made sure we got the most out of our trip but did it in a relaxed but professional manner. We were so sad to leave him and Kenya.

An Outstanding Safari Led by an Exceptional Guide, Despite Operational Issues
The four-day, three-night safari tour was truly breathtaking. Being able to witness animals living their lives freely, exactly where they belong, with my own eyes felt like a profound blessing and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
My driver, Moses, had deep knowledge of both the safari and the wildlife. He was exceptional at tracking animals and always attentive to their movements. He also thoughtfully considered the direction of the light and positioned us in the best spots, allowing me to photograph the animals in the most beautiful way possible. I was genuinely impressed by both his professionalism and his considerate attitude.
The safari experience itself deserves a 10 out of 10. However, there were significant issues with the lodges where we stayed. In both lodges, internet access was not available in the rooms and could only be used in the communal areas, which was frustrating. Neither lodge provided a hair dryer either.
More disappointingly, the staff at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge repeatedly made mistakes and behaved rudely, despite this being a service-oriented environment. There were no apologies offered unless I raised strong complaints, and only then were the issues addressed with delayed apologies. Staying there felt unpleasant and uncomfortable.
In addition, the tour payment was split into two parts, and there was a serious issue with the second payment. The amount communicated to me was incorrect, and as a result, I almost overpaid by 500 dollars. This caused unnecessary stress and should not happen in a professionally managed tour.
The contrast between the wonderful safari experience and the disappointing lodge stay was quite stark. If these issues, including accommodation and payment accuracy, were properly addressed, this tour could truly be an outstanding experience overall.

Experience of a lifetime!
Our Masai Mara safari was truly the trip of a lifetime, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, John. From the moment we set out, he made every second special. On our very first game drive, he somehow managed to show us nearly the entire Big Five within just a few hours, something we never thought possible. His sharp eye for spotting wildlife was unbelievable, and he always positioned us perfectly to take in the best views and capture amazing photos.
The absolute highlight was witnessing the Great Migration. We had a 3 day safari so we were so incredibly lucky that John was able to get us to see it! John’s knowledge of the animals, the land, and the Masai Mara itself brought everything to life. He didn’t just show us the wildlife; he taught us their behaviors, the history of the park, and even small details that made us appreciate the safari so much more.
John’s warmth, patience, and passion for his work was incredible. He always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and having the best possible experience. His enthusiasm was contagious, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does.
If you’re considering a safari in the Masai Mara, do not hesitate book with this company and ask for John. He turned our adventure into memories we will carry for the rest of our lives. Best guide ever, without a doubt!

Great and organised!
I enjoyed my tour with Savannah woods, the car was very clean and in great condition, the tour guide was very nice, well-informed and explained everything. logistics were all perfectly taken care of. I was traveling solo and felt very safe and enjoyed my time so much. I would highly recommend them!

Savana Woods is the real deal
I want to split my review into 3 part.
First of all, Savana Woods is the real deal!
A professional company with the best customer service I have seen! Lucy is just amazing! Always available, happy to help, proactive I am just speechless! I had issues here and there, she took care of every little thing I had with such patience and grace it was just pleasure!
Second is the trip, highly recommended! We saw plenty of animals even on the low season, cheata hunting, plenty lions and lioness, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more!
Evans the tour guide was always helping, considering and fun.
Third the mara sopa lodge was a good option in a good location, the food was great with many options and the food biz for the Safari day was also excellent!
Thank you Savana Woods for an unforgettable experience!!

Excelled at Meeting My Wants
George is a great guide. I was on a private tour with him for 4 days/3 nights. I am an avid photographer and tend to have wants that are somewhat different than the typical Safari guest. First of all I have done too many safaris to count. Secondly I want to stay at one place longer than most would - waiting for that perfect shot. George was also great at finding great opportunities for once in a lifetime photos.
Everything from the customization of the tour through the execution to my eventual departure for Zambia was perfect. Thank you and I will be looking forward to seeing you again.

Wonderful experience
Everything went exactly as planned. We had a great safari with our guide Steve, who knew how to find all the animals and see them up close. The SOPA lodge is really perfect.
