Epic summit experience, very low budget tour
3/5

+ price
+ trek team of porters, chef and guide
+ food
+ prompt email communication with office
+ day 2+3 great hiking, epic summit sunrise experience

- transportation from Nairobi to the mountain and back is public transport (no mentioning before)
- first day wasted with transport and gathering food+equipment, only started hiking at 3:30pm, 2 hour paved road hike to Moses camp
- tent was dirty, old, zipper not working
- mattresses dirty, one day unacceptable
- rest day should be skipped, no relaxing possible in raining season, facilities dirty and low budget
- last accommodation at Bandas unacceptable, unsafe tenting with wildlife at tent, washroom unusable
- last day useless, several hours on 4x4 road with constant discussion when to call for transport at our costs for the entire team. Need to be clarified before. Costs up to 80 USD for vehicle.

Overall fair price, but also very low budget. Day 1 and 5 need to be discussed and agreed on before payment. With reasonable fitness only 2 days and 1 night at Shipton Camp needed. Fantastic summit experience, great chef, porters and guide. Communication with guide was limited, we always had to ask for info.

Reliable and on time.
3/5

My solo hike with Dennsland was an amazing experience. I was alone with the guide, porter and cook which make it unique experience. The 5 days hike was beyond expectation. The landscape, the view and going to the summit. I unfortunately didn't get to see the sunrise due to the weather, but experiencing the summit with the frost was a first time for me. Sam the guide was supportive and encouraging me. The only this missing was the preparation for the altitude sickness and better cloth for the cold.

Do not book with Edward! He is not honest.
1/5

I had a terrible experience with Edward. I had booked the 6 days Masai mara>Nakuru>Amboseli trip.

He was very accommodating when we planned things before the trip and then he went back on his word.

- I was subcontracted twice over to join a group safari. This is fine and what I expected. However, I did NOT expect that I would be sleeping in a different place than my group. So at the end of the game drive, I am dumped at once place and everyone else goes to another place.

- On Day 3, he promised me a game drive when we arrive in Nakuru. (After 5+ hours driving to Nakuru). He then told me it wasnt possible. So there was no game drive.

- Day 4, was supposed to be a morning game drive and then "later" drive to amboseli. Turns out that morning game drive means ~1-2 hours and the drive is cut short so you can drive 7+ hours to Amobseli. He was not clear in the itinerary that this is what it meant, I would not have agreed to spend a second day, all day driving.

We argued a lot and he would not back down. He would barely even apologize to me for lying about Day 3.
