Everything about the tour was better than promised
I was on the search for a safari tour operator in Kenya and stumbled upon Dennsland. Their game was strong - fast replies, super clear details, and options to choose from. The price they offered me was so good, I briefly wondered if it was a scam. Spoiler alert: it was 100% legit.
They even picked me up before I even paid a cent and let me pay at their office after providing a briefing and just before leaving for the safari.
Now the tour itself and all the logistics were smooth. Our drivers weren’t just drivers, they were walking encyclopedias with a sense of humor and GPS-level instincts for animal sightings. They were very mindful and respectful to the wildlife and were safe on the road overall, which showed their wealth of experience.
I did the 7-day, 6-night circuit through Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli, and saw just about everything. The accommodation was excellent—clean, comfortable, and full of character. I felt safe the whole time.
I had forgotten some of my things at Maasai Mara and Dennsland kindly helped me retrieve it. If you’re thinking about a safari, book with Dennsland. My experience in Kenya was great thanks to Purity and the team.

Competent and friendly staff help reach the summit cheerfully
Well organised tour, attention to detail, friendly team members. I felt safe in their capable hands. They did not downplay the trek, gave real-time info, and were flexible in adjusting plans to accomodate energy levels.
Food is tasty and plentiful. Tents are comfortable. Schedule is adequate, enough time to sit and contemplate where you are.
On a side note, do not underestimate the cold and the weather. It changes fast, always be ready with appropriate extra clothing!

Great experience with minor improvement
I recently completed a 5-day trek up Mount Kenya with Dennsland, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable adventure.
Pros
• Very quick, detailed pre trek communication by Purity.
• My guide, Ben, was kind, patient, and encouraging throughout. The rest of the support team was equally great.
• Absolutely stunning landscapes and a truly rewarding summit experience. Reaching the top just after sunrise was unforgettable.
Cons
• When I arrived at the first camp, I discovered I was the only one sleeping in a tent while everyone else stayed in huts. I hadn’t been told this was an option beforehand. It was quite cold that night, so I requested to stay in huts for the rest of the trek — which was arranged, though at an additional cost. I’m glad I made the change, as it rained every day and camping would have been much less comfortable.
• There was a small disconnect between the trek team and the company, but it didn’t significantly affect the experience.
Although I went solo, Ben’s support made it enjoyable and safe. The final push to the summit was challenging but achievable, and the rest of the route felt moderate. I was also lucky to avoid any altitude sickness.
The trek effectively ends on Day 4 after reaching the summit, with Day 5 dedicated to the return journey to Nairobi.
I’d definitely recommend Dennsland for a Mount Kenya trek, just be sure to clarify your accommodation preferences in advance!

Great Safari thanks to great driver/guide
We had a great experience doing a 6 day safari to Masai Mara, Naivasha and Amboseli.
The tour was organised well, and everything was on time. We saw all big 5, except for the Jaguar (elusive).
The accomodation was good considering we booked a budget safari.
Best was our driver Dan, who was pleasant, knowledgeable and well organized.
Overall, really great value for the money.

Good price for value - I do recommend the company
Dennsland Trekktours will offer you, for a price below competitors (average 200$ cheaper than other providers for the exact same service).
Purity is very reactive on Whatsapp for whatever question you might have. Her and her team can also make a few adjustments to the trip after taking the courtesy to engage in a conversation.
Our guide, Philip, was very kind and seemed very knowledgeable regarding the wildlife in the area.
On the 7 days trip, you will see a ton of animals, I am not sure if there is anything we did not see.
Regarding the safari in itself, please note that the experience I will describe below applies to many safaris in Kenya and not only to Dennsland Trekktours :
- A 7 days Safari only consists in maybe 4 (combined) active days of exploration. The rest is spend driving from a place to another
- The driving can be very long. We once drove for 9 hours in a single day
- On a group tour, you might need to accommodate other passengers having booked a different kind of tour, so your guide will have to drop them further on the road, making you lose 1-2 hours per day
- Carry cash, you might need a solid 60-70$ per person for the 7 days trip if you want to engage in all the other extra activities
- Also carry very small bills (equivalent of 1-2 dollars) if you wish to tip or support people on the way (local guides in Hell's gate for instance). People will beg/ask a lot for money on the way.

The Mt Kenya tour was great!
The tour was great! Our guides on the tour as well, and communication was good. The ride to Mt Kenya was originally with a very small public bus. If you don’t want this you should contact the tour operator upfront. And get clarity on the way back, this was unclear for us. Apart from that, we had a great experience! And the guides, porters and cook on Mt Kenya were great!

Amazing experience
We had an amazing Kenya safari experience and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The wildlife sightings, landscapes, and overall organization made it a truly memorable journey.
A special mention goes to our guide, Jackson, who was exceptionally well-behaved, professional, and cooperative throughout the safari. He was always punctual, knowledgeable, patient, and eager to ensure that we had the best possible experience. His ability to spot wildlife and share interesting information greatly enhanced our trip.
The only area that could use improvement is the Land Cruiser provided for the safari. While it served its purpose, the vehicle would benefit from some maintenance, particularly the seats and doors. Improving these aspects would make long game drives much more comfortable and further enhance the overall guest experience.
Overall, we had a wonderful safari and would gladly recommend this experience to others. Thank you to Jackson and the entire team for making our Kenya adventure so memorable.

7 days Safari - Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli
We did the 7 days Safari (Masai Mara, Naivasha, Nakuru, Hell’s Gate and Amboseli). At Masai Mara we’ve got a special guide (Kulet) that let us see almost every animal. Masai Village was a scam, it was the worst part of the tour.
In Nakuru we’ve got a really nice resort, in the safari Kulet let us saw black and White rhyno.
Naivasha boat ride wasn’t pleasing but we’ve got a bad local guide (nothing to do with Dennsland, he was a local guide).
Hell’s gate was wonderful, chilling and memorable experience (bike tour).
In Amboseli we went to Nyati Camp, that was really clean and the bed was really comfortable. The safari was really pleasurable.
We’ve got 1 L of water per day during the game drive but there wasn’t water bottles while eating.
Everybody was really kind they accompanied us to a SafariCom shop letting us do the Sim for M-Pesa (Essential if you dont want cash, everybody accept it), and thay drove us to Madaraka Express because we’d to go to Mombasa.

Always available when needed
Compare to other companies Dennsland Trekktours was the most valuable. They were always available when I had questions or concerns, the reply was always very fast. They are flexible if someone changes mind. Everything was easy with them.
