Incredible hosts, great itinerary, details all perfectly attend to - you have to book with Cuckoo
5/5

Hi everyone. Well traveled 41 year old American male. Hired Cuckoo Safaris to coordinate the trip of a lifetime, beginning in Victoria Falls and crossing Botswana. The trucks were first rate, everyone speaks perfect English, the game drive guides were incredibly helpful and wanted us to have a great time. Nothing is spared - so many game drives, the food was excellent everywhere, very comfortable stays. We did Elephant Sands, Moremi, Chobe, and others on boats, helicopters, and 4x4s. Everything was great, I am super thankful.

Everything is reliable, everyone super professional, excellent value for your money and most importantly - my father felt very safe, very comfortable, and we saw every animal you could dream of. I have experienced many tour companies and Cuckoo is at the top of the list.

Simon and Tatenda are true professionals, always with smiles, always looking out for your interests. Book with them, they made the trip of my dad's dreams happen!

Cuckoo Safaris goes above and beyond to make sure your adventure is amazing!
5/5

My son took me to Africa for my 70th birthday. We started in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls and a helicopter tour, then Chobe National Park for river Safari and game drive. Next to Elephant Sands for the elephants and a game drive. We then stopped at Planet Baobab for the Baobab trees and a game drive. The next day we travelled to Maun for a helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta a a full day safari at Moremi National Park. We had a busy 9 days and Cuckoo Safaris made sure everything went flawlessly! Simon was always available for any questions or concerns we had and went above and beyond went well. I’d highly recommend them for any travel planning you might need.

A perfect Tour partner . Highly trustworthy and Reliable
5/5

At First i was a bit hesitant traveling to Africa with a 06 year old as we knew none and has no idea about the place other than the photos on the internet and some reviews from other travelers. After several searches on the internet , i received an email from Cuckoo Safaris addressed by Mr Tatenda Tarzan. The few emails and one phone call to Mr Tarzan had put an end to my search and gave me confidence that they could take care of my trip .
Cuckoo safaris is a Team of young, educated and dedicated locals who definitely are professionals and know their job. Right from the time we landed in Vic falls , through out and till the end of my trip, the team was always checking up on us and making sure that we are comfortable and enjoying our trip . The first day up on checkin , we were not happy about the Room allocated and which was reported to Tatenda . The same night , they managed to upgrade our room ensured that we weren’t facing any discomfort . They have excellent tie-ups with their partners like luxury sunset cruise, chobe NP, Bungee Jump, MJ Helicopters, Vic falls tours. They have also arranged a complementary Village tour which was requested last min and made that happen which gave us an opportunity to meet the locals and donate some essentials

Mr Simon was the Guide throughout and was a very friendly , knowledgeable and accommodating person . 10/10 for his patience and kindness. This guy is informative and ask him any question about his country and land he was born.

I will not forget to mention Mr Lewis who has been our driver during the first two days and he would like to keep telling us everything he knew about the place . He never keeps quiet and let us be during the drive .

Overall , we had a very pleasant and stress free, a very Happy and exciting trip to Vic Falls . Cuckoo safari made it feel so easy and relaxed holiday. The pickups were never late and we never had a moment waiting for something or someone. Excellent service!! On time, well planned, safe and organized experience. Well done Team. And Thankyou ****.

I called and requested three days' worth of activities. I told the operator what we wanted, and they were able to accommodate our request and make additional suggestions to keep us busy all day! The entire team from office staff and our guide were great to work with and flexible.

friendly and organized!
5/5

Our experience with Cuckoo Safaris was great! Everything was on time and organized. Simon and Tatenda were great hosts, so friendly, reliable, and informative. They made sure my vegetarian diet was accommodated and both safari days they organized for us were amazing experiences with great guides. We saw plenty of elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and lion cubs! The tour was a good value. I would book with them again!

Our guide, Simon, was exceptional. Punctual, knowledgeable and constantly going out of his way to ensure our trip was perfect. Our initial contact, Tatenda and the game drive guide, Milton, were excellent as well. Would book with Cuckoo Safaris again in a heartbeat. An amazing experience and great value all around.

Well organized travel agent

We made a nice 10 day s trip with Cuckoo Safaris.
We first did all kinds of activities in Victoria Falls, like Rafting , Helicopter flight, Jetboat, dinnercruise, ad vissiting both the Zimbabwe and Zabian site of the waterfalls, all highly recommended.
ADVICE, when visiting the Falls, take a poncho and a good umbrella with you, is idial for taking pictures and protecting the camera against the water mist, also for rent opposite the entrance.
After this our tour started with Cuckoo Safaris, we met Tatenda and Simon and discussed the trip.
They have fulfilled all agreements and activities that were offered in the tour perfectly.
Also all hotels we stayed in were excellent.
We also went an extra day to Hwange with Cuckoo Safaris very worthwhile.
ADVICE If you do the tour in june or july bring warm clothes and a winter coat because with a early game drive it is quite cold in the open safari car (8 degrees Celsius).
During the trip Simon told us a lot of interesting facts.
Highlights of the tour, Nakavango privite Game reserve, seeing the rhinoceroses
Game drive and rivercruise in Chobe seeing a lot of different animals, and swimming elephants.
Elephant sands, where we ate 5 meters from e herd of 50 elephants drinking at a waterhole.
Planet Baohab lodge , where we made a game drive to see the Meerkats.
Okavango delta wher we made a 45 minutes helicopter flight over the delta.
Mukoro dug-out canoeing experience through the delta.
Full day game drive Moremi national park where wa saw lions and leopards, and many other animals
All these activeties and more were exellently arranged by Cukoo Safaris, we never had to wait , everything went as agreed.
We did the entire tour privately this is definitely recommended you see and hear much more than with a group you sitting always first class when making foto's and video.
When you make the trip with Cuckoo Safaris , the price is not higher than many providers ask for a group trip.
We have made a wonderful trip with Cuckoo Safaris.
Thanks Tatenda and Simon
Best regards Paul

More than just a safari
5/5

My husband and I went on the 9 day safari tour through Victoria Falls and Botswana for our honeymoon. It was truly one of the best experiences of our lives and the best choice we could have made!

Starting from the beginning, Tatenda was extremely reliable and responded to all of my emails right away. He answered tons of my questions and helped me customize and add additional days on to the tour so we could make the tour just how we wanted.

Then to the tour itself, many of the other tours on safari bookings only include game drives, we chose this tour because it had a ton of variety and were so glad we did! Not only did we see a ton of animals and natural landscapes we also got a chance to do multiple boat rides, cultural experiences and a helicopter ride! Plus the hotels and food included were excellent! They even set up a special honeymoon poolside dinner for us as a surprise for free! Everything was prompt and reliable and they really went out of their way to do everything we wanted. We definitely got value for our money on this tour.

But now to the best part of our tour was our guide Simon! Simon was more than just a safari guide, he also became a friend and an ambassador to Africa as a whole. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and explained not only the landscape but the history, culture, politics, and customs of all of Southern Africa. The warmth and humor of Africa totally shines through Simons personality and you can tell his passion for his job. We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives, thank you Tatenda, Simon, and Cuckoo Safaris!

Quick & accurate responses; helpful

My driver, Manda, was waiting as soon as I stepped off the plane & the adventure began! Light snacks on the Zambezi River to see warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, exotic birds, an amazing sunset & to be on a river that connects 4 countries was incredible! The next morning after breakfast, we were off to see Mosi oa Tunya (The Falls). We saw the Zambia & Zimbabwean side. Our tour guides Martha & Prudence walked us through the rainforest, we saw gorges, baboons, beautiful trees & the sound of the falls was amazing! There were rainbows & incredible photo-ops. We had lunch at Lookout Cafe, what a beautiful restaurant with delicious food & top notch service. We took a helicopter ride over the falls, which was breathtaking. We also made a quick stop at Big Tree. The next day was Chobe, Botswana. We started with a boat ride on the river. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the animals! I learned a lot. After a fabulous buffet, at an all you can eat lunch, we were off to the land safari. Our guide, Mr.O, got us very close to the animals (which is what we wanted). What an extraordinary day! The next day we got to sleep in a little. Pick up time was 10am. We stopped at a local store to buy food & school supplies for the visit to the cultural village. It wasn’t mandatory, but I love to help people. The village chief & his wife were so hospitable & thankful for the items. The chief gave us an in-depth tour & explained how life works. My highlight was visiting the school they opened & meeting the lovely teachers & adorable children. After the village tour, we stopped in town for lunch, coffee & shopping. We then went to the hotel to relax a little & at 7pm we were off to Boma to have fun, dance, eat, play the drums & just enjoy! The next morning was time to say goodbye to beautiful Africa, but we enjoyed every minute. Believe it or not, I left out some details. There was so much to see & do! The only thing I would change would be to upgrade my room at the hotel. But the staff was so welcoming & helpful & the grounds were tropical & well maintained. If you can’t tell yet, you should book this trip!
