Iddy was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
Where do we even begin?! It is difficult to put such an amazing experience into a simple review. After researching many different Safari Guide options for our Honeymoon in Tanzania, we decided to book with Iddy at Samora Explorers, and we are so, so happy that we did. From the start, Iddy was easy to work with, responsive and made us feel very confident that we knew what we were getting and made the right choice. Right away, he sent us a professional, detailed daily itinerary with lodging and all additional details, which we found very helpful. After getting married, we jumped on an airplane, very tired, in the US and made the journey to Kilimanjaro airport where Iddy picked us up right away and brought us to our first hotel in Arusha. From the start, he was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable, which was a huge relief after our wedding followed by a 24 hour trip from Boston. We knew we made the right choice. From then on, Iddy was amazing. This would be my 4th Safari and I can say it was definitely the best, which could not be possible without Iddy and Samora Explorers. He took care of everything. The vehicle was cleaned everyday and in great shape. He always had food, drinks and everything else we may have needed. Meals were fresh and served daily. When others had premade boxed meals, Iddy always provided fresh "home cooked" meals, with plenty of water, sodas, wine and beers. We didn't have to think about anything. Each day, he picked us up on time from our lodging, which Samora Explorers sets up for you, and we went on amazing Game Drives. Samora Explorers knows the Serengeti and all other National Parks like the back of their hand! They are true experts! We saw tons of game, and the Big 5 in one day. We also recommend doing the HOT AIR BALLOON and BUSH DINNER, which Samora Explorers will set up for you and include in your itinerary. The Hot Air Balloon was the highlight of our trip! We can't say enough about Iddy and his crew at Samora Explorers. You will NOT be disappointed! We left our Safari with an amazing experience, a ton of pictures and memories, and an amazing friend in Iddy. Book this Safari now!

Excellent Kilimanjaro Company
Samora is a up-and-coming trek company that's looking to make a name for itself with the quality it provides. As a traveler from the USA, the owner and guide were easy to communicate with and made preparation simple. My guide was extremely knowledgeable on the flora and fauna of the national park, and was effective in helping me get to the top! The porters all know each other and the company takes pride in treating all of their employees ethically.

We did one of the Samora safaris a few years ago, and since then I have been thinking about how to repeat such a wonderful trip. Samora Explorers offers a diverse program of tours, between which it is not so easy to choose - after the first experience you actually want to make them all! The offer ranges from the tourist reception of the natural beauties of the country and insights into the life and culture of the indigenous people, to animal observation for the zoologist (I am one), to the mountain tour to the highest mountain in Africa. All the stops are unique highlights that will not be forgotten. You can experience the Serengeti, where the first modern wildlife film was made that won an Oscar, the Ngorongoro Crater (which for once is not a volcanic crater), the monument at Olduvai Gorge where the oldest human was found, Manyara National Park where the pelicans sit on top of the trees, lakes full of hippos, wild big cats on the hunt and boulders on which they rest ... Sometimes you even still see a black rhino, which has become very rare, and you feel happy about it.
But it is not only what you get to see, you also experience the wonderful way of presentation and personal attention from the staff of Samora Explorers. In our case, it was our guide Iddy Kimaro who enriched our tour with his profound zoological knowledge, as well as with wise, adapted, prudent organization.

Exzellent team that provided an unforgettable experience
Beginning with Gadieh, our guide, Juma Pili our cook, the whole team were lovely, caring and supportive at any time. The organization was professional and flawless. We were extremely lucky with the weather conditions that day. Ascend at night lit by the full moon, no wind and no clouds on top of Mount Meru and an amazing sunrise with perfect views to Kilimandscharo. Perfect and unforgettable.

Following a recommendation, me and my friends went on our first week-long safari with Iddy. From the first pick-up, I felt incredibly welcomed and in good hands. We took tents for bush camping on a private five-night trip from Arusha through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and back. We were having a blast on our day tours watching the plethora of species, spotting a single leopard or patiently observing a lone lioness feed in the only car around. A cook on our side, which we took from camp to camp, provided us with lunch packages for the day and made sure nothing was missing in the early mornings and and late evenings. Iddy proved great endurance, navigational excellence and high driving skill on the rough and narrow bits. Above all, he entertained and educated us in fluent German. He anwsered our questions without talking through the day, he went in on our wishes but always masterminded the whole tour. His well-maintained equipment and charging in the jeep made the trip a very pleasant experience. I had an amazing time throughout and will definetely return for another adventure with Iddy.

Perfect and efficient
This Tanzania safari trip was absolutely perfect beyond words! Our guide (Emmanuel) is the most reliable man in all of Africa—diligent, responsible and wholeheartedly devoted to our trip. Thanks to his professional tracking skills, we successfully spotted the Big Five during our game drives. He was always punctual every single morning without delay, and his thoughtful care really touched our hearts deeply. Besides the fantastic wildlife viewing, the daily meals served at the camp/lodge were incredibly delicious with rich varieties. Every detail of this safari exceeded our expectations, and we can’t recommend this tour and our amazing guide enough to anyone planning an African safari!

An absolutely fantastic experience!
Our guide, Regnald, truly made the trip exceptional. His knowledge of the park and the terrain is unmatched—he navigated the rough roads like a pro, ensuring we were always in the right place at the right time. Thanks to his expertise, we successfully completed the "Big 5" challenge! Beyond just spotting the animals, Regnald took the time to explain their behaviors and habits, which gave us a much deeper appreciation for wildlife.
Regarding value for money, this tour exceeded all expectations. The service was top-notch, combining comfort, safety, and adventure perfectly. You can tell this operator values reliability; they delivered exactly what was promised and more. I cannot recommend them highly enough for an authentic safari experience!

A wonderful and unforgettable journey
I had a great time in Tanzania. I felt that time passed quickly. I could see animals every day, which was very colorful. I am very grateful to our guide Ali. He has rich experience. He is very patient to take us to see animals every day. He treats us very friendly and conscientiously. In addition, his driving skills are the best driver I have ever seen. He is very familiar with all the road conditions and will be waiting for us on time tomorrow morning. The tour guide has great expertise and very good eyesight. I'm glad that he can be our guide, which makes our trip to Tanzania a very colorful and unforgettable journey. I will come to Tanzania again next time, and I will ask Ali to be our guide. I hope to recommend him to more Chinese tourists.

This was vacation and trip of our life.
We are so happy that we choose Samora Explorers. We stayed 5 -6 days and I do not have enough words and expressions to say how amazing this trip is. We have the best time. Guide was so patient and he was soo trying to make our trip even better. Driving around to show us the most animals and for us not to be disappointed. I can say - we saw them all and even if we would not, tour and Guide Emanuel are the best just as they are. Price is more then reasonable and full experience is even better. Sunset and sunrise in Serengeti were magnificent. Food - delicious. Talk and knowledge that Emanuel has were outstanding. I can just say - don’t think twice BOOK
