We were allowed to live the most incredible, beautiful, impressive and valuable experience with African Big Cats Safari.
We would wish our Guide Obed to everyone who does the tour. Be sure to ask for him if you go too !!:-)
His friendly, funny, relaxed and competent manner gave us a feeling of safety and security right from the start. So just Hakuna Matata !;-)
We were impressed by his knowledge of all the wonderful animals. One noticed immediately that he has a lot of experience and that he has to look exactly where the animals are hiding. Obed was very open, shared private things and experiences, and so did we. This created a friendly and very valuable dynamic for us. We laughed a lot together and could ask anything at any time, not only about the animals, but also about the wonderful country. We had a private tour so just the two of us with Obed. It had 2 binoculars available, with which we could observe the animals even better. The safari car was in very good condition. It always had cool drinks in a small fridge.
Even the contact via e-mail before our arrival was very competent, we received answers to all our questions very quickly.
The accommodations, the food, the feeling - everything was absolutely perfect.
I was taken seriously with the desire for vegetarian food and there was something for me at every picnic.
We were in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Tarangire National Park. This selection was definitely enough for us. We were allowed to see and experience so many animals. Wow! We can 100% recommend African Big Cats Safari!
We go home very satisfied, happy, with a lot of new knowledge and valuable experiences in our hearts and also with a crying eye.

Amazing, unforgettable experience which completely exceeded expectations!
Just back from a 4 day/5 night comfort safari and it was the trip of a lifetime! African Big Cats made everything so easy to book with quick and efficient communication from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and everything from airport pick-up to accommodation and meals were taken care of. Our guide Lord was fantastic, his knowledge and passion for safari was obvious and he really went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable - we saw so many animals and so many beautiful landscapes all thanks to him.

Traveling with a man who knows his country, its history and nature, and will joke around a lot!
When we booked with ABCS, we had no idea what to expect. But let me assure you: this locally organized and operated company (which was important to us, no foreign investor middle-man) will make you feel very special and give you a tour you won’t forget!
We traveled for almost 5 days with Endeni, who knows everything there is to know about Tanzania, nature and the wildlife. He’ll take care of you when you need to mark your territory in the wild and the African road massages were the best ! (You’ll get it once you’ve been there ;) ). We also talked a lot about life and family as it works in our country (Switzerland) and Tanzania. Very interesting exchange with a good new friend! Also, Endeni and the other guides are in constant contact to each other in order to find the best spots with the rarest animals all the time on your safari. You’ll be in great hands and are up for the best possible experience.
The company is very reliable, answers quickly and the money transfer worked out perfectly. The accommodations are all clean, the food is very good and whenever there are potential dangers (animals) near your sleeping site you’ll be accompanied by Massais to your room. You’ll be safe all day long.
All in all: highly recommend!

Best Safari Tour operator in Tanzania!!
They are the best Safari tour operator in Tanzania!! Here are the reasons why:
Organisation: Thanks to Justice and Emmanuel you are able to organise your trip from anywhere in the world. Communication is smooth, as they will be in touch via email or WhatsApp to make sure everything is perfectly organised before, during and after your Safari.
Guides: They have the most experienced guides. Our was Endeni, a super friendly guy that accompanied us during the whole tour. He is knowledgeable, punctual, and communicative. At the end after spending 4 days with him, Endeni became almost like family. He can speak perfect english, italian and spanish.
Cars: They have top quality 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers with beverages, charging stations and everything you need to be comfortable during the game drives.
Accommodations: The accommodations were comfortable, with natural scenery, friendly staff, and very good food.
Overall, make sure to book your Safari with African Big Cats and ask for Endeni as your guide - believe me you won’t regret it :)

A safari is an experience that I recommend to anyone that wants to do something extraordinary during their holidays. It will put you in direct contact with wildlife in its most intact and natural way, and this makes it a life-changing experience. On top of this, we were lucky enough to have chosen African Big Cats to arrange our tour. There are several reasons why this company made our trip even better than we would have expected.
For starters, the communication is fluent, frequent, and transparent. If you have any doubts, any requests, any last-minute changes, or anything that might be important to clear out before, during, and after your tour, you can count on Justice to clear any of them or support you. They're responsive via email or Whatsapp, and if you are coming from a country far from Tanzania to do this trip, this is something you appreciate.
Although it is likely that each safari is different, ours started in Arusha, where our guide picked us at the airport and took us to a lodge where we met the rest of the team and spent the first night. This hotel, like any other hotel that hosted us during the safari, was particularly nice, with natural scenery, friendly staff, and very good food. As I said, it might be different from one tour to the other, but overall they offer anything you need to rest properly between days. Keep in mind that you won't be spending much time in the hotels, so you are aiming for good food and a good night's sleep. The Ilboru Safari Lodge, Eileen's Trees Inn, and the Heritage Tented Camp check positively on both topics.
The hotels' staff deserves extra credit. During our tour, one of our friends was having her birthday, and the staff at Eileen's Trees Inn arranged everything to make sure we could celebrate it. Each and every one of the lodges and hotels where we stayed was different, but overall they complement the safari quite well. This is because they are relatively close to the national parks we visited and offer exactly what we wanted. Actually, and in all fairness, the pictures that you might access online do not reflect what the hotels and inns are actually like. They're much nicer in real life. Be reassured that the hotels are excellent and in our case went above expectations.
I'll continue with the most important part of the tour. The guide. Ours was Endeni, a super friendly guy that accompanied us during the whole tour. He is knowledgeable, witty, punctual, and communicative. African Big Cats has other guides I'm sure, but if they are any like Endeni you're in great hands. My advice to anyone doing the safari is to become friends with your guide, ask them about their trajectory and the things they have done and seen. They will tell the story of a unique country, going from its recent story, its current status and of course, the wildlife. As mentioned before, ours was Endeni. The dude's a legend, you will be lucky if you get him.
During our safari, we visited three places. The Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and the Serengeti. This review won't have any spoilers, that part I will leave it out. But do expect to learn a lot, amazing views, and close contact with wild animals. The tour can't guarantee it, by all means, but in general, you will see something unexpected frequently. The car is comfortable and you can enjoy cold drinks while at it. On top of it, our car had chargers so you can use your phone along the tour (for pictures, I hope).
In general, going on a safari is a life-changing experience. African Big Cats makes the experience significantly better.

Best experience ever!!
Our experience with African Big Cats Safari was wonderful. The attention and care since the very first consultation was great, Justice solved all kinds of doubts, with fast and personalized attention
Already in Tanzania, our guide was Endeni. He managed to make us fall in love with Tanzania, with each story, with each anecdote, with everything he knew about animals, with his ability to take us to see incredible animals from 3 meters up close, guided by a simple footprint in the sand and mainly, for being a great person. (Endeni, we miss you!! ♥)
We knew that Tanzania and the experience of a Safari was going to be incredible, but they managed to exceed our expectations: the hotels were great, the kindness and help made us feel at home away from home, the food and preparation of everything, they left us very happy.
Emanuele, Justice and Endeni, you made us VERY happy!!! We carry you guys in our hearts!

Big cats safari is great because it is private and completely planned around your schedule and preferences. We had the absolute best time with our guide, Lord! The animals were right next to our jeep and it was truly the experience of a life time! Justice made planning the trip so easy and we are so grateful for the both of them! We also did a hot air balloon over the Serengeti which was the most beautiful and breathtaking experience ever! Thank you so much big cat safari for a trip I will never forget! Perfect from beginning to end!
My trip to Africa spanned nearly 30 days beginning in Cape Town, then to Johannesburg, Nairobi, Victoria Falls, and ending in Tanzania. I was so fortunate that the last 10 days were with our exceptional guide, Emmanuel.
Emanuel was more than an experienced guide, he is a wise naturalist. Not only did he know the names and habits of every single animal and bird we saw, he knew the botanical names for every piece of flora and fauna. And the man has bionic eyes! We came to know we were always in for a real treat when he would slowly pull our land cruiser to a stop and peer quietly out the window. And then he would point and say "look right there… it's a female lion… it's a black rhino… it's a herd of elephants…" Then he would drive us closer, often getting within five feet the amazing animals we had traveled so far to see. Emanuel was more than a guide, he became a friend.
Our accommodations and food exceeded our expectations every step of the way. On our next to last night in Tanzania, I discovered that a couple in our group was celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary. I passed the word to Emmanuel, who apparently radioed back to the chef at our camp. That night the chef had prepared a beautiful cake, inscribed with their names, complete with candles, which the entire staff presented with a fabulous dance throughout the tents singing a cheerful African song. I am sure that is a night they will never forget. I know I never will.
I am longing to return to Tanzania and my first contact will be Emmanuel. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime!
