Amazing trip with African Big Cats Safari
We booked the 5 days / 4 nights Comfort Safari (Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti) with African Big Cats Safaris, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice! We saw a lot of animals, too many to mention, but the highlights were a pack of lions hunting a buffalo and a cheetah hunting and catching a baby Grant's gazelle.
Our guide was Khaled, who was a very experienced guide with ten years of experience. He knew all the roads and where the animals normally were. He also knew a lot of the other guides and communicated with some of them over the radio so that we could go see animals that were spotted by others. But since he knew the places and the animals so well, we were actually the first to find a lot of the lions, elephant herds, etc. He was also a very good driver both on the mud roads and on the public roads (which is also very important!), so we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. He also knew the name of every animal, bird, or plant we asked him about, and he could also tell us the geological history of the creation of the Ngorongoro Crater. And when we asked him why the soil is red, he knew the reason for this too! So I don’t think you can ask for a better guide. The accommodation was also very good! Good food, nice rooms and pleasant staff. And if you want nicer accommodation, you can have the luxury safari, or if you don’t mind a bit simpler living, you can order the budget safari. But either way, I can wholeheartedly recommend African Big Cats Safaris as a tour guide!

I had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable safari, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and expertise of our guide, Claus, were outstanding. Not only is he an expert in local wildlife, but he also has a contagious passion for the surrounding ecosystem
Each day was filled with surprises, from up-close encounters with majestic elephants, Being a witness to the daily life of great predators., The way Claus shared every moment, offering insights into animal behavior and their environment, made every minute fascinating and educational.
Additionally, the accommodations were top-notch, perfectly situated in a setting that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature. The attention to detail, both in the safari and in the facilities, made our experience even more comfortable and memorable.

Best trip ever!!
We chose African Big Cats Safari because of the excellent reviews – and our expectations were exceeded on the very first day!!! We spent five days with our guide Khaled, traveling through two national parks and, of course, the Serengeti, and we were simply overwhelmed by the nature. So many different animals, plants, and landscapes!
Khaled knows all the animals and can tell fascinating facts about each one, from the red-billed buffalo weaver (a bird) to the elephant. He also knows exactly where to find them and whether they are in the mood for visitors. I never expected to get so close to the animals, and yet they didn’t seem to mind our presence at all. Elephants walked right past us, we watched a cheetah hunting, and Khaled even managed to show us the Big Five. The black rhino even made an extra round!
The Great Migration is absolutely breathtaking, and the sheer number of wildebeests and zebras is beyond imagination. If you're looking for a perfectly organized trip with great accommodations, knowledgeable guides, and the chance to sing your way through the Serengeti, then ABC and Khaled are the perfect choice!

A Dream Adventure Becomes a Wonderful Memory!
We booked 6 day safari with African Big Cats after my husband did extensive research and many emails back and forth with several companies. African Big Cats customized a very comprehensive trip for us. They responded with explicit details and in a very timely manner, were not at all pushy. Once in Arusha we were met by our guide, Clause Nikata, and he took great care of us for the duration. We are in our seventies, don’t require a lot, but Clause made sure we always felt safe and comfortable. He is passionate about his country and its resources and shared such enthusiasm with us! The lodges and tent camp we stayed in were clean, comfortable and always full of friendly cheerful staff. We highly recommend African Big Cats! We live in Canada and this trip was one we’d been dreaming of for years, it definitely met all our expectations.

Without them it wouldn’t be possible. An amazing team
We did summit Kilimanjaro using lemocho route, it was a long trip but thanks to the amazing team we had, we were able to make it.
Overall it wasn’t hard the toughest part is defiantly the summit day, we started 11pm and hiked all night. It was cloudy so we couldn’t see sunrise. But the view is breath taking none the less.
Decending from the summit was the most difficult part for me as i was super tiered and didn’t sleep at all.
The second most tiering day was the last when we were decending to the gates.
However this wouldn’t have been possible with out the amazing team and amazing guide.
I would like to do a shout out to imran he was our main guide and informed us in our briefing with all the details and during the hike he was always there.
The cheif ( can’t remember his name) was amazinggg the food was super tasty. During high altitudes when we had no appetite the food was delicious and made us eat it. He even managed to do an amazing cake in the mountain for our friends birthday.
Also I would like to do shout outs to the elyasse that were there and helping us.
Also samson was amazing
I just don’t want to forget anyone. ( sorry for spelling mistakes in the name)
Ps during the cold nights they provided us with heating pouches it was really nice and helped us sleep.

Unforgettable, Timeless, and Perfect in Every Way
We spent 10 incredible days in Tanzania with African Big Cats and can confidently say it was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives—made even more special as it was part of our honeymoon!
From the very first inquiry to our final goodbye, the experience was seamless, personal, professional, and SO much fun. Naomi was prompt, warm, and helpful in every communication—her responsiveness and thoroughness put us at ease and built excitement for what was to come.
Our time on Kilimanjaro was guided by Imran, who was informative, encouraging, and incredibly patient for each day of our hike. He made what could have felt daunting into something genuinely rewarding.
And then there was Obedi—our guide, our teacher, and our friend. His joy and passion for what he does shone through every single day. He was not just accommodating—he was thoughtful, hilarious, and endlessly generous with his knowledge and energy. Obedi made this trip truly unforgettable and timeless, and we feel so lucky to have spent our honeymoon with someone who made it feel so personal and magical.
We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara (including a night drive!), the Serengeti, the Ndutu Area, and the Ngorongoro Crater (where we were the first vehicle to enter!). The diversity of the landscape, the abundance of wildlife, and the breathtaking natural beauty blew us away. We saw all of the Big Five—many more than once!—as well as so many other animals we’d only dreamed of seeing.
Some highlights we’ll never forget: learning local phrases and customs, hearing about Tanzanian history and culture, a surreal hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, and the sheer magic of sunrise across the crater floor.
We followed every single recommendation that African Big Cats made, and our experience far exceeded our already high expectations. They thought of everything, and it showed.
Tanzania now holds a very special place in our hearts—and that is entirely thanks to African Big Cats. We cannot recommend them enough and are already dreaming of our return.

Excellent operator, great guide and vehicle, excellent selection of properties
We did a 5-day safari with African Big Cats and had an amazing time. Was originally a recommendation from a friend, I was amazed how many animals she had seen. We also saw a ton of animals over the course of our safari, including all of the big 5. Our guide didn't say much, but he was amazing at finding animals. The accommodation options were all very nice, very beautiful properties with very nice staff and good food. The vehicle provided was also very good. Overall, we were very happy with the service and would recommend it to others.

Our fantastic guide showed us everything we had hoped for
The tour was really great; we went on the 6 day/5 night safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Tarangire. Our guide, Obedi, was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable about the animals, community, and environment, and even better he was excellent at spotting the animals. We had hoped to see cheetahs and got three, along with two leopards and numerous giraffes, elephants, and even a secretary bird. Very much worth the price and everything on our trip went perfectly smoothly without a single hiccup. Big Cats was even able to give some good advice on visas when we were worried.

Amazing! My first time doing safari. A friend arranged the one week trip for a group of four (two couples) - it was his second time with this company! Great experience, everything was amazing
We, a group of 4 people enjoyed a lot our 6 days safari! Two of us are extremely experienced travelers and visited more than 25 countries, but Tanzania just stole our hearts! We are very thankful for our great guide Gabriel and for the owner of the agency Emmanuel for organizing and keeping us safe and entertained every day. We saw all animals we wanted to see and in general had a lot of fun! Recommend this company to everyone!
