Best trip ever!!
We chose African Big Cats Safari because of the excellent reviews – and our expectations were exceeded on the very first day!!! We spent five days with our guide Khaled, traveling through two national parks and, of course, the Serengeti, and we were simply overwhelmed by the nature. So many different animals, plants, and landscapes!
Khaled knows all the animals and can tell fascinating facts about each one, from the red-billed buffalo weaver (a bird) to the elephant. He also knows exactly where to find them and whether they are in the mood for visitors. I never expected to get so close to the animals, and yet they didn’t seem to mind our presence at all. Elephants walked right past us, we watched a cheetah hunting, and Khaled even managed to show us the Big Five. The black rhino even made an extra round!
The Great Migration is absolutely breathtaking, and the sheer number of wildebeests and zebras is beyond imagination. If you're looking for a perfectly organized trip with great accommodations, knowledgeable guides, and the chance to sing your way through the Serengeti, then ABC and Khaled are the perfect choice!

An Unforgettable Adventure: A experience Beyond Expectations
I had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable safari, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and expertise of our guide, Claus, were outstanding. Not only is he an expert in local wildlife, but he also has a contagious passion for the surrounding ecosystem
Each day was filled with surprises, from up-close encounters with majestic elephants, Being a witness to the daily life of great predators., The way Claus shared every moment, offering insights into animal behavior and their environment, made every minute fascinating and educational.
Additionally, the accommodations were top-notch, perfectly situated in a setting that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature. The attention to detail, both in the safari and in the facilities, made our experience even more comfortable and memorable.

Amazing trip with African Big Cats Safari
We booked the 5 days / 4 nights Comfort Safari (Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti) with African Big Cats Safaris, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice! We saw a lot of animals, too many to mention, but the highlights were a pack of lions hunting a buffalo and a cheetah hunting and catching a baby Grant's gazelle.
Our guide was Khaled, who was a very experienced guide with ten years of experience. He knew all the roads and where the animals normally were. He also knew a lot of the other guides and communicated with some of them over the radio so that we could go see animals that were spotted by others. But since he knew the places and the animals so well, we were actually the first to find a lot of the lions, elephant herds, etc. He was also a very good driver both on the mud roads and on the public roads (which is also very important!), so we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. He also knew the name of every animal, bird, or plant we asked him about, and he could also tell us the geological history of the creation of the Ngorongoro Crater. And when we asked him why the soil is red, he knew the reason for this too! So I don’t think you can ask for a better guide. The accommodation was also very good! Good food, nice rooms and pleasant staff. And if you want nicer accommodation, you can have the luxury safari, or if you don’t mind a bit simpler living, you can order the budget safari. But either way, I can wholeheartedly recommend African Big Cats Safaris as a tour guide!

Amazing service!
We chose African Big Cats to organize our honey moon safari trip. It was without a doubt the best decision we made. Starting from an excellent communication to plan the trip. They were super flexible to modify their luxury standard plan according to our requirements. Then during the trip the guide/driver had an incredible knowledge of the Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and all the animals we encountered, and he had a really good attitude all the time. The food in the lodges and the lunch boxes were amazing as well. Most of important of all we feel that the value for the money was very good.
I will definitely work with them again if we have the chance to come back.

Reliable
African Big Cats Safaris is a reliable company. Our tour guide “Lovoi” was very experienced, and knows the parks very well. We were impressed by his ability to spot animals that otherwise we would have missed. He was very polite and a joy to be around. A mix of Lovoi’s expertise and with luck, we were able to see the Big Five. He always positioned the safari car in a way that I was able to take the most amazing photos. Highly recommend this company. Safari superseded my expectations. Left Tanzania very happy to say the least!

Unforgettable Safari
We booked a 6-day safari with African Big Cats Safaris. It’s important to note that the first day is considered an arrival day, so the actual safari includes 5 days of game drives.
Our journey took us through the stunning national parks of Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Tarangire. Staying at the Intimate Camp in Serengeti was a highlight – sleeping in the park with hyenas roaming near the tent at night was unforgettable. The lodges were very clean, and the staff was always friendly and helpful.
The visit to the Maasai village was interesting and provided insight into their culture, but the significantly overpriced souvenirs left a slightly sour taste. Despite this, learning about the Maasai lifestyle was fascinating, though it's advisable to negotiate when buying souvenirs.
Our guide Lovoi was amazing! He was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Thanks to him, we learned a lot about the wildlife and even saw the Big Five – a major highlight of our safari!
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, despite minor disappointments like the high souvenir prices at the Maasai village. We highly recommend African Big Cats Safaris!

Great team, great safari!
Travelled with ABC Safaris in August 2024, doing the northern circuit (tarangire, manyara, ngorongoro and then on to central and northern Serengeti to watch the migration). Value was excellent, especially for the accomodation inside Serengeti. they helped us set up our trip, and the duide's communication was also much better then what we experienced previously with another company. The guide was also very nice to our kids.

Best trip ever!
I am a travel enthusiast, and I wanted a BIG adventure for my 50th birthday. African Big Cats delivered x10! Joshua and Naomi enthusiastically and patiently answered all of our questions and made accommodations for a party of 6. They provided helpful pre-departure information that ensured we had what we needed for our adventure.
We opted for the “comfort” level and the tented camps were very comfortable, clean and beautiful. It is amazing to be able to stay so close to nature in the actual parks and wildlife management areas! The staff at each camp were welcoming, helpful and attentive.
Our driver, Obed, taught us so much about the wildlife, parks, Tanzanian culture and even some Swahili phrases. His driving was excellent and safe and he got us close to wildlife while respecting the animals and other drivers. Every day we looked forward to our hot picnic lunches followed by the best Africafe coffee, yum! He sang with us and we laughed together the whole trip. By the time our 12 days were over, we were so incredibly sad to say goodbye to him.
We visited West Kilimanjaro, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. We saw innumerable elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, cape buffalo, hippos, nile crocodile and nearly 100 lions and lion cubs. We saw the great migration of wildebeest and zebra and saw the wildebeest cross the Mara River! We even saw cheetahs, a rock python, a leopard and two of the critically endangered black rhino! The beauty of the natural places in Tanzania is unmatched. Best vacation ever. Trust me, take the trip!

Excellent Safari Experience
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful 4 day safari with African Big Cats Safaris. All of the logistics were organised very smoothly ahead of our trip. It was an incredible experience to visit Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro Crater, the Serengeti, and Tarangire. We were able to see the big 5 (black rhino from a distance) and even witness lions hunting their prey. Our guide Venance was amazing. Without his sharp eye we would have missed out on numerous sightings of rare animals. His knowledge was also extremely impressive and his comments added to each sighting of a new animal or even native trees/flowers. I can't stress enough the importance of a good guide.
