Great value experience
8-day, 7-night safari during the 2026 calving season. The Toyota Land Cruiser was in excellent condition, with comfortable cushioned seats, unlimited bottled water and drinks, and we opted for a hot lunch – every meal was delicious. Most fortunately, our guide was Radar Joseph, once named the best guide by a Tanzanian travel guide! He was sincere, meticulous, and cheerful, possessing extensive wildlife knowledge and radar-like search abilities, and an intimate knowledge of Tanzania's national parks. I once asked Joseph, "How do you know every road in the vast Serengeti?" He replied, "Reference points + 13 years of experience." My teammates love birdwatching, and Joseph possessed incredibly rich bird knowledge. When we apologized to Joseph for the frequent stops for bird photography, he always said, "Hakuna matata – that's what you came for!" Joseph was exceptionally skilled at tracking animals. In the Gol Koppies area of southeastern Serengeti, a cheetah mother with her two cubs jumped onto our SUV! The vast Serengeti plains, only one SUV, three cheetahs! For example, he carefully covered our suitcases with cotton sheets; thoughtfully parked the best spots for us; and after our Serengeti game drive, our car was always spotless the next day, even though it was covered in mud. When there was no water to wash at the campsite, he wiped it clean with cloths. He even thoughtfully gave the extra beef and other hot food from lunch to the sanitation workers. Safari went fantastic
Me and my wife took a private 5-day safari with lappet faced safaris and it went fantastic!
Our experience started with requesting a quote through this website. We received a response the same day with several options and all our questions answered.
Even though lappet faced safaris offer was more expensive than other quotes we received, we decided to accept it, and that was the right decision!
I was a little bit hesitant to deposit 10% in advance, but it also turned out to be ok.
We even had to reschedule the trip due to personal issues, and this was not a problem for the operator.
We received a list off all the requirements we needed to enter Tanzania including an invitation to apply for eVisa. Our director Francisco followed up regularly to make sure we have our paper work ready.
The safari itself went brilliant! Our guide Emanuel showed great knowledge about the wildlife and local culture. He was always in contact with other drivers in a park. We always arrived on a spot when there were only a few cars and we got the best view point. We really enjoyed game drives with him.
Our favourite park is of course Serengeti Nation Park. The coolest thing was to see the whole big five in one day, before noon.
We were lucky to see a black rhino crossing the road right in front of us, lions having zebra for breakfast, a leopard fending off his pray from a pack of hyenas and taking it on a tree, and a pride of lions playing with its with cubs. The next day we saw four cheetahs hunting an antilope. This was a fantastic end for our safari!
During the five days we stayed in awesome hotels and game camps. Each place offered great service and clean rooms with canopy over the bed. Each place offered other facilities like bars, swimming pools, massage and spa services. One advise I can offer is to bring a power plug adapter, since Tanzania has UK type power plugs.
Another concern we had before our trip was the food. However there was nothing to worry about! Each place we stayed in offered an open buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious food. Local and international cuisine.
After the safari we had a day free in Arusha. We ordered a one day Arusha tour at lappet faced safaris. We went to the masai market and orphanage center which lappet faced safaris support. This was another amazing experience delivered by lappet faced safaris
Now we have a ton of photos to go through with our family and friends, and we cannot stop advertising Tanzania and lappet faced safaris to them!
We are sure we will be heading to Africa again very soon!

It was worth every penny
Everything was well through out. We only had a short amount of time , but we were able to get a good sample of the Safari in Tanzania with the itinerary that was suggested to us. Communication was always prompt, polite, and informative from the company. Emails were always responded to within 24 hours, and always with as detailed information as possible.
Can’t wait to have another trip with friends I have tested,

Dream Adventure
I can’t even begin to write how Lappet Faced Safari exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect from the accommodations to the game drives. Francisco crafted a wonderful itinerary. He answered all my questions and was very clear with instructions. Michael met us at the airport. He let us know where the next place to stand and he was spot on. We had a very up close view. We spent the next 6 days with Michael our game driver. We can’t say enough about him. He is a gem of a person and his experience with game drives speaks volumes. We always had the best views. He always knew the habits and behaviors of the animals so we had amazing views especially of elephants. I told him they must know him. He is the elephant whisperer. He went over our itinerary the previous evening and in the morning. He also navigated the roads like a champ. We spent time asking Francisco all sorts of questions and we had a good time chatting and getting to know each other. We miss him. We especially can’t say enough about the Landcruiser. Upgrade to this vehicle if you can. It was comfortable and durable during some very bumpy roads. We look forward to our next trip and definitely using Lappet Faced Safaris again!

Fantastic Safari Plan

The most wonderful tour ever
We were really impressed by the great nature of africa, especially luckily we saw male lions sitting under a tree.
All of the accommodations arranged by the tour were much beyond our expectations. The guide was very kind, professional, and trustworthy. The tour team responded to our questions in a timely manner and to the point. Even when our luggage was lost in transit, they helped us and managed to get and send it all the way to our place in safari.

Amazing Experience

Hassle Free Ever
I contacted Lappet Faced Safaris at short notice when I had a Uganda trip coming up. I had shopped around various tour providers and most seemed to offer the same places with little real differentiation. I had a quick chat with Lappet Faced Safaris and they put together a package to suit us. What I liked about it was all of the places were very unique and I hadn't come across them during any of my other research. Everything from then on was handled very simply. We had two nights at Into Wild Africa which is probably the best place I've stayed at in my life in serengeti
