Great Safari
We had a great 7-day safari with Shanjoy Tours and Safaris. Everything was perfectly organised, from the smooth transfers to the well-chosen lodges and amazing game drives.
A huge thank you to Patrick, our driver and guide, who made the entire experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, professional, and always went the extra mile to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and enjoying every moment.
Also, a big thanks to Beth in the office, who was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance.
We highly recommend Shanjoy to anyone looking for a reliable and personalised safari experience in Kenya!

Overall an excellent safari experience with Shanjoy. Our driver guide in Tanzania, Erick, was highly professional and truly exceptional. My number one goal was to see the migration river crossings and he made sure we achieved this! I’m very happy we chose to book with Shanjoy. They were very responsive and helpful from start to finish.

Absolutely Incredible Honeymoon Safari – Flawless from Start to Finish!
We cannot recommend Shanjoy Tours and Safaris highly enough! We booked our honeymoon safari to Kenya and Tanzania just two months in advance, hoping to pull off something truly special—and Shanjoy delivered beyond our expectations.
After reaching out to a few companies, Shanjoy immediately stood out. They were the *only* ones to respond quickly, and the level of detail and clarity in their quotes gave us instant confidence. We knew right away they were the right choice.
From the moment we got in touch, Martin was amazing—he patiently answered all our questions (and there were many!). Whether it was malaria concerns, specific lodges, or itinerary tweaks, he was always warm, informative, and incredibly responsive. His support made the whole planning process feel easy and stress-free.
Once on the ground, the experience was absolutely seamless. From the first day we were picked up, it was non-stop adventure—but without having to arrange anything or make any decisions. Everything was taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy.
We started our safari in Kenya with Rio, and within the *first two days*, we saw the Big Five—unbelievable! The transfer to Tanzania was super smooth, and there we met Ledgar, who was a phenomenal guide. He had a real passion for wildlife and even helped us witness a lion hunting—an unforgettable moment.
Our final guide, Richard, was just as kind and knowledgeable. We really appreciated having different guides along the way—they each brought unique perspectives, stories, and deep knowledge, making every part of the trip enriching. On the last day we decided to do something else that wasn't originally planned in the itinerary and they were able to accommodate that request without any issue.
Every single lodge and accommodation Shanjoy booked for us was stunning—thoughtfully chosen, comfortable, and perfectly located.

Excellent Experience Beginning to End
Our experience with Shanjoy for a private 12-day tour across Kenya and Tanzania was excellent beginning to end.
Communication was always clear, reliable, and prompt from the initial quote email through to booking through to actually being on safari. I really appreciated during the initial booking phase that Shanjoy gave me time and space to consider the options and never made me feel pressured. When I asked for changes to the itinerary, they were done quickly and accurately. The lodges that Shanjoy selected were great — good food, great service, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent locations inside the parks. Shout out to Rodah for all of her support.
On safari, our driver in Kenya was Patrick. Patrick was fantastic. He was a perfect mix of informative when we asked questions, but also let us have space so we never felt awkward and pressured to maintain a conversation. He is a very genuine and nice person so conversations with him were very natural. He is a very competent driver and a good wild life spotter with over 20 years of experience. I also appreciated that he was respectful of the animals while getting you close up viewings. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and reliable. No major breakdowns (and the one minor breakdown Patrick had fixed in 10 mins).
Transferring vehicles at the border of Kenya-Tanzania was smooth. Eric was our driver in Tanzania (Mama Savanna is Shanjoy’s partner company). Eric was a top notch wildlife spotter and a great driver. Again, the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and we had no issues or breakdowns.
Overall, I highly recommend Shanjoy. Next time we are back, we’ll be booking again with them.

Shanjoy gave us a magical experience. From a historical tour in Nairobi to a 4 day safari tour to inviting us to learn about Kenyan food in their home. Shanjoy Tours provides an amazing experience for a family adventure.
Everyone we interacted with at Shanjoy Tours were fantastic and exceptional in every area. Patrick provided an amazing itinerary and was very accommodating when we asked to adjust it. The communication with Beth was always prompt and thorough. Our booked accommodations were all great (wished we had a little more time to enjoy them). All of the meals and packed lunches/breakfasts were good. The 8 day tour with added Nairobi excursions was amazing. Our family of four (with 11 year old twin boys) were well taken care of each step of the way. Our tour guides/drivers, Tony (Kenya side) and Erick (Tanzania side), were absolutely exceptional. The knowledge of the animals and knowing where to take us in the large parks to see all the different types of animals was fantastic and we have to commend them for the long driving days and early mornings (including picking us up at Nairobi airport for our 4am arrival). We had long days in the safari vehicle, but it was very comfortable and we were always energized as soon as we got into any of the parks for the game drive portions of the trip. I can't say enough good things about the people who work at Shanjoy Tours.

Patrick and the Shanjoy team were responsive, prompt and extremely easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable about the animals, the Mara and the Massai. As a result, we did not have to worry about anything other than the times to be ready for. Patrick and his team arranged everything down to the smallest details. We had a group of 12 people and all of our needs were met. The vehicles were comfortable which made me feel secure. My safari was a magical because we experienced the majesty and wonder of the Massai Mara. I had such a great experience that I will use ShanJoy Tours for another safari adventure in the future!
