Trip of a lifetime - an African adventure tailored to you!
Johnny and the team at Timbuktu helped us plan a perfect trip to the Victoria Falls staying at the beautiful Tongabezi Lodge. The website was easily to navigate and we were able to build a fantastic trip online with personal help from Johnny to finalise the details. We were recommended specific trips and things to see whilst we were there which did not disappoint. A particular highlight was the helicopter ride over the falls. Communication with the team was excellent before we left the UK and whilst we were out in Africa. We will certainly be using Timbuktu again to plan our next African adventure.

A five star company and service; we'll be back!
When planning our family safari we were recommended to Timbuktu to help us through the mass of offering on the market. We were looking for something special where the landscape and wildlife were the stars of the show. Timbuktu were able to suggest and put together a stunning selection of small camps in Zambia including Nsolo, Kakuli and Changwe River Camp.
Our memories will last a lifetime particularly the excitement of our long experienced guide when we spotted an aardvark on our last night drive!
Throughout the trip Timbuktu expertly handled the logistics to make what seemed like a daunting prospect an absolute breeze.

We had no idea what we wanted but we were walked through the process and found a great reserve that places emphasis on preservation of wildlife, as well as offering luxurious experience during the stay. Katherine, our travel specialist, was able to put together a dream safari for us in 3 days! We e-mailed her 1 week before our departure and she went out of her way to book and plan a 13 day private, custom safari for us. We were ale to sort through the details in one phone call, then she sent an interactive link for our trip so that we could see all of the lodges and itinerary she had put together. She went above and beyond simply booking the trip. She pieced everything together and booked every transfer and flight, all we had to do was show up at the airport in Dar es Salaam. I am so touched by the arrangements she made for us to make our experience one of a kind.
Also, the guide she booked for us exceed all of our expectations. Ask for Charles if you can! He is so dedicated to what he does and filled our heads with an amazing amount of animal facts! He made sure we saw Everything and even laughed at our animal jokes :)

All-round fantastic experience of South Africa
Timbuktu organised an ideal two week holiday for us. We did Safari, wine region and Cape Town. They listened to what we wanted and tailor made the perfect holiday for us. We felt it was incredibly good value and could not have been happier. We want to go back!
