Stole from us
We went on this tour with Ken and Barack in January. We sent them money for the Gorilla Deposits in advance and when we arrived they said the government had stolen our money. They story didn't add up, and they promised they would pay us back, but in the meantime we had to buy new permits. Having traveled so far, what else could we do?
In the end, they stole our deposit. I highly recommend finding a different operator with a longer history of reviews.
The gorilla trekking itself was incredible.

Generally good, but the way they acted was not acceptable.
I booked and paid for a 6-night trip to Rwanda costing nearly $20,000 back in April (4 months before the trip).
Everything went smoothly until we discovered that one of the lodges we had specifically chosen had been changed without our knowledge.
The most frustrating part was not only that we were never informed, but that when we arrived at a lodge (that was clearly not the one we had booked) the agency put on a show pretending that we had been notified — claiming it was a known issue and even promising to show us an email where they had supposedly informed us (which, unsurprisingly, was never shown because it simply doesn’t exist).
At that point, there was no way to get a place at the original lodge we had chosen — and paid for in April! — and we had no option but to settle for a much lower-level lodge. You can't tell me there was no availability at the lodge when we made the reservation back in April!" Clearly, this seems to be a usual way of operating in order to sell trips.
Considering this was a 6-night trip, planned by me down to the smallest detail and costing almost $20,000, what happened is absolutely unacceptable.
We also had issues at another lodge: when we arrived, our room had been double-booked and assigned to other guests as well.
I can’t say whether this was the agency’s fault or the lodge’s, but in any case, we lost an hour trying to sort it out before finally getting our room.
Aside from these issues, the trip went well. The guides were kind and helpful. Rwanda is a beautiful country.
I’m truly very disappointed, but the way the agency handled things is unacceptable for such an expensive trip.

A great adventure
Thanks to John, my guide driver who has a good eye to spot and track animals. He is patient and professional. I had a wonderful time in Akagera Park! We saw lions, girafes, zebras, elephant and much more!

My Trip to Burundi with Rwindi Voyage
During my recent trip from Nairobi to Kigali, I planned to visit Bujumbura as well. I reached out to a local company in Kigali who connected me to Rwindi Voyage. They specialize in organizing trips to Burundi and Congo, which made the planning much easier for me.
Choosing to fly to Bujumbura was the right call, as traveling by road wasn’t an option. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Charles, my driver, who took me to the hotel and later gave me a memorable tour around the city. Highlights included visiting the famous Stone of Stanley and Livingstone, which added a rich historical touch to the trip. It was clear that Burundi has a lot to offer for curious travelers, from cultural sites to beautiful attractions.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Burundi if you find yourself in the region. And if you decide to go, definitely consider using Rwindi Voyage. They proved to be professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about creating great travel experiences. Thanks to them, my journey was smooth and rewarding, giving me a real taste of what this lovely country has to offer.
Amazing

Awesome experience
Having waited years to do this trip I was not disappointed! The permits for trekking in Rwanda are much more expensive than Uganda however, once you find out about the country and how they are working together both the government and people to rebuild their country I was quite happy that I was contributing to this and also helping the gorillas as well. Everything was extremely well organised and seamless. I did two days trekking. On the first day I had been very unwell during the night but with help support and patience from the trekking guides and wonderful porters I was able to complete the day. All this would not have been possible without the guidance and help from my very patient driver John. He was marvellous! Answered all my hundreds of questions about the people and life in Rwanda and was great company on the long drive to and from Kigali.

Easy to work with and great people to be with
My wife and I went on a 3 day, 2 night trip to see the Golden Monkeys in Rwanda and Gorillas in Uganda. I picked this company due to the option for a shorter trip since we were squeezing it in between a few other countries while in Africa. Barack was easy to communicate with during the booking process. Overall, the price was very solid for the experiences!
We were able to meet many of the workers, all of which were enjoyable to talk to. We were picked up by Barack and Noah from the airport and transferred near Volcanoes NP. The next morning we were picked up by John and Noah to go to the Golden Monkeys - John and Noah were both great! The monkeys were very fun to experience and well worth it.
After the golden monkeys, we had a lunch nearby and went to the gorilla guardian village to learn more about the Rwandan culture. We then transferred to Uganda to stay near the Gorilla experience. The countryside of both countries were beautiful. The lodge in Uganda was very nice (Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge) and food was great.
The next morning we were picked up and taken to the gorilla safety briefing - remember to bring a mask with you for the experience! We were assigned our group which our guides helped influence - we were assigned a family with multiple babies, it was a great experience. We hiked for about an hour or so each way and were able to find the gorillas to a spend an hour with them. Fastest hour of my life! Was a great time.
We then transferred back to Kigali for our late flight. John was able to score us a quick hotel deal to spend a few hours relaxing before we went to the airport.
Overall, we had a lot of driving during the trip, but had a great time experiencing both the monkeys and gorillas. John and Noah did a nice job of chatting with us and letting us just soak in the drives since they were so cool. Would recommend!
