A very will organized tour in South Tanzania, meeting all expectations in accomodations, cars, time
We wanted to combine South Parks with the Malawi lake, and Leonard organized perfectly the tour.
With 2 jeep and tents, he brought us to see wild animals in the Selous Park, to meet people and kids at Matema Beach in Malawi Lake, to stay in a camp close to hyppos group.
His team of 3 people was always reactive to our needs, patient when we wanted to stop to enjoy Places and people, often running after our food requests (6 italians tough to satisfy).

Well organized
It was a great experience, they had all well organized . First they picked us up at our hostel, then we went to Taranguire park and next day to Ngorongoro. The driver and guide Stanley was great, he explained us all the animals and he droves safetely. We enjoyed a lot. I recommend it.

This safari is good for nature lover, like camping and if you are traveling with low budget.
Safari was amazing experience. Our driver James had 20 years experience so he knew where to go and did everything that we could see all possible animals. The chef Ibrahim was so kind and made tasty food everyday in modest conditions. The tents were okay, but mattresses weren't that comfy and sleeping bags should be updated. There also were no pillows. Almost everything went good but sometimes we didn't get enough information and we needed to ask things many times. And sometimes the schedule of the day wasn't clear for us. Even though we got help when we asked something from Vicent who was from the company. He picked us up from the airport and let us leave our backpacks to the office during safari. If you manage without comforts this could be your safari.

A reliable, friendly well established company
Always open, friendly Communication. They have long experience in the Safari Market in Arusha. Good Service, Comfi Safari Jeeps and very good drivers who know a Lot about their country and animals. I did many safaris already with Lem Carnivor and will always choose them again.

Lovely nature, services expensive and not really rewarding
I had the 4 day 3 nights budget joining group in Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro. The nature is amazing, especially the crater, packed with animals and the views are crazy. Tarangire was also packed with animals. The Serengeti is huge, so we drove more and saw less animals.
What left a sour taste in my mouth was the price - service quality ratio. I will leave a breakdown here:
- Lem carnivores contact was responsive and polite, but the organisation was chaotic, the first 2 mornings we had to wait for a few hours each day (when animals are actually most active) just so they can organize the cars, they changed the driver and they don't communicate all this in advance, we felt like you never know what awaits you
- drivers & cook were nice people, although we would have expected more info from the drivers about the schedule
- first day accommodation was a very basic room, second night in Serengeti was an awful public campsite: tents smelled like dirty feet, there was no light in the bathrooms and showers, showers doors did not close, no toilet paper, no soap, no hot water and generally dirty. The third night in Ngorongoro public campsite was ok: tents were better, we even got pillows, bathrooms were clean, functional, they had toilet paper, light and hot water, but no soap.
- the cook was a friendly guy, we had more than enough each day, but I have high doubts about how the food is stored, because it is transported without a fridge and in the kitchen area there is no refrigerator. 3 of us got diarrhea, it was bad, we think it was the meat
- safari jeeps are not really well maintained. every day we would pass by broken down cars, lots of them!! in the last day ours broke as well in the exact moment when the diarrhea hit (to be so lucky...)
For me I believe 3 days would have been enough, considering the many hours you spend in the car on bumpy roads. If you have back pain, you will feel it a lot, so keep that in mind when booking.
I also believe that what I wrote here is a reality for all the operators, not only for Lem Carnivores, I just have the feeling that this is the most Tanzania services can provide.
All in all, I would have expected way more out of a 700 dollar experience (+3.5% transfer fees!), but the nature was amazing.

It seemed to us that the work of the guide-driver was poor. There was so much more to see. Vrlitel was very slow. He took a lot of our time, which cost a lot of money. Yes, this is one of the inexpensive companies, but that doesn't mean the tent has to smell like cat urine.

Disorganized safari
Disorganized safari, the guide didn't explain almost anything, poor vehicles, they join people that booked budget camping with people that booked mid-range lodges in far away places so there are a lot of wasted hours that should be instead used in the game drive. Absolutely terrible.
