Our 3 Day Kruger Lodge Tree house Experience
We had a successful and interesting 3 day/ 2 night safari in a Kruger private reserve. We stayed one night in a comfortable chalet and one night in a rustic tree house. This was a good choice as we got to experience both. The tree house gives you that closer to nature feeling and our elevated view of the river was a plus. The staff members were very helpful and the guides were superb. During our open vehicle game drives we had some excellent photo opportunities and saw 3 of the Big 5 but many other animals as well. Even around the lodge there were some wild animals. Due to the dry conditions there were more animals seeking water holes and that made for even better game viewing. Safari With Us arranged everything very well and our transfers and related arrangements went smoothly. It was a worthwhile and interesting experience and we can positively recommend a Kruger lodge tree house safari. “
You're better off booking a better lodge and self driving, food is very poor.
Pros: they delivered on everything we agreed on, one driver (Alec) was fantastic, lodge room was nice and big although animals live in it's ceiling.
Cons: 1 hour late airport pickup, drinks not included and they ask for tips on them, some drivers are lazy (no we don't need 2 hours worth of breaks during a full day game drive), lodge needs more maintenance (especially the pools), food is very very basic, barely edible.
Even if it's one of the cheapest pre-made safari options, it still felt way overpriced for what you get.
No good sighting of Leopard and Lions during our visit, sadly had to cancel our Panorama route tour because of this. So we really missed on both.
My recommendation is that you pick a better lodge (closer and with better food) and self drive, you'll see animals anyways.

Good value for the money, responsive team, and great people to work with!
We had a fabulous safari! The Safari with Us staff responded promptly to emails and answered every question we had before the trip. They were reasonably priced when I compared them online, and the value of the trip itself exceeded the price. On the trip, each element (transportation, accommodation, etc.) worked smoothly and lived up to our expectations. On the game drives, we saw so many animals, and the hospitality at the lodge was incredible. Everything went so smoothly and we would repeat the trip in a heartbeat!

Excellent choice for a tour. Professional and easy all the way
Everything concerning the trip was a delight. Starting with Michael Waters, the person who answered to my enquiry; He was very professional and not pushy, allowing me time to choose which tour fitted me better, how to pay and when to go.
I payed for a three days tour, and everything was up to standards or better. The driver to Kruger NP (5 hours drive), was very attentive, the lodge was beautiful, well run and included meals that were better than expected.
Now to the good part: I only got one spotter in my four drives, and he knew what he was doing; I got to see absolutely all the animals I wanted too, and the breaks were well designed as you can be hours in the jeep.
I highly recommend this operator as everything was at the very least up to standards. Really hoping to repeat the experience soon

Thank you so much for an amazing experience. My wonderful experience started right from picking us up at the hotel in Rosebank. Anthony is amazing, friendly, helpful and a fantastic giude. He eased my worries of traveling alone in just a few minutes and I was off to have fun. The hotel - Rissington Inn - is amazingly beautiful. Every staff member at hotel and safari guide and driver on return (Thobo) were fantastic and went out their way to help. I would return with family and do it all again and give you and your team a 100/10.

Great Safari
We booked the 2 day Safari which was a great experience! Pick up and drop off in Johannesburg went very well. On the Safari we saw the Big 5 and many more animals. The guide was excellent ! Lodge was great as well! All in all definitely recommendable.

Every staff member was fantastic and went out their way to help you. Mary is a real asset to the team.
The tours were great and my grandson saw a Leopard which he really wanted to see, in fact we saw more than 30 different animals bug and birds.
One of our party was ill when we were on the tour.. the lodge and the guide organised the Dr, someone to pick her up and bring her back to the lodge. We all really appreciate that and were blown away by such a totally caring attitude.
The only down thing I can say is that they really need to fix the hot water in the shower. It is either boiling or freezing. I had cold water showers every day.
I would return and do it all again and give you and your team a 15/10.

A wonderful, well organized holidays.
We were delighted with both the reserve itself and the lodge where we spent a very comfortable time. When planning the trip we learned a lot about them and we had high expectations but the reality far exceeded them. I don't know how he did it but Andre even arranged beautiful weather for us. This was not our first trip to South Africa but certainly one of the most successful. A big thanks to Andre of Safari With Us as well as the staff at Last Word Madikwe Bush House.
