A Life-Changing Safari — Beyond Every Expectation
There are trips you take, and then there are trips that change you. Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is unequivocally the latter.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary safari lodge. The team had an almost uncanny ability to anticipate every need before it was even expressed — a cold towel here, a perfectly timed sundowner there, a room detail personalized just for us. The staff don't just provide service; they provide presence, and that makes all the difference.
The food deserves its own accolade. Every meal was an event — fresh, inventive, and beautifully presented, whether served under the open sky or around a boma fire. It elevated what could have been a "nice camp meal" into something truly memorable.
But the real magic happened out in the bush. Our ranger and tracker were, without exaggeration, extraordinary. Their knowledge runs impossibly deep — we tracked and spotted all of the Big 5, which alone felt like a miracle, but that was just the beginning. They decoded the language of the bush for us: the medicinal secrets of plants most people would walk past without a second glance, the stories written in animal tracks, and at night, the vast, uninterrupted African sky — they turned a canopy of stars into a living astronomy lesson. We came home knowing more about this planet than we ever expected to.
Beyond the wildlife, beyond the food, beyond the flawless service — Sabi Sabi gave us something rarer: a genuine sense of wonder. It rekindled curiosity I didn't know had gone quiet.
A special mention must go to Safari.com and our consultant Candis, who made the entire journey seamless from the very first conversation. No hidden fees, no last-minute surprises, no stress — just thoughtful, expert planning that let us be fully present for every incredible moment. If you want a safari done right, start with them.
If you are even remotely considering it — go. Don't hesitate, don't wait for the "right time." Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is, without question, the most extraordinary experience of my life.

Leigh-Ann listed and put together a perfect package for me.
When I decided to add Victoria Falls to my already booked itinerary in South Africa, I researched several companies and I'm so glad I chose Safari.com. Leigh-Ann listened to what we wanted and gave us several package options of various prices and itineraries.
We choose to stay at Avani, which was so amazing with zebras, giraffes, monkeys and impala roaming all around the grounds! It also was a 5 minute walk to to Victoria Falls and the locals curio shops with handmade items. Full breakfast was included at Avani with a great selection. The staff was so friendly!
A BOMA dinner was suggested and was awesome to see African music, dance and drumming.
The sunset cruise was beautiful and relaxing. The hippos put on a show for us.
Leigh-Ann also set us up for a guided walking tour of both sides of the falls, with an option to return as much as we wanted. I was glad to have the guide for the first time as he was not only knowledgeable but provided me with a much needed rain coat!
Unfortunately my friend had a family emergency and had to return home before we even got to Zambia. When I contacted Leigh-Ann she was very quick to respond and understood my concern of traveling alone. That anxiety quickly went away as soon as I arrived. Everyone was so friendly and I never felt afraid.
Leigh-Ann was so good at listening to what we wanted, our budget, was always quick to respond to every question and calmed me when I realized I'd be traveling alone.
I highly recommend Safari.com for your visit to Victoria Falls!

Our travel angel!
From day one of planning our anniversary vacation to the end of our anniversary vacation, Ms. Leigh-Ann Croeser was absolutely wonderful. She was our travel angel. While on our trip we lost our luggages and she was making calls to the airlines and getting information for us to help us out so we wouldn’t have to stress while on vacation. She went above and beyond for us. Any questions we had she would respond almost immediately. She was so patient with us and so caring. She always answered my calls and her voice was so soothing and thoughtful. You can tell she loves what she does and she wanted us to have an amazing experience. She always made sure that our tours and resorts were up to par. She even went as far as letting the resorts know that our luggage was missing so they could accommodate us with essentials. The resorts even provided their uniform for us to use. We are so grateful that we found the best travel agent! I highly recommend to book through Safari if you want to have an otherworldly experience.

A seamless yet unforgettable vacation.
Our safari experience in Sabi Sands was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our trip planner. From start to finish, everything was organized seamlessly, making what could have been a complicated journey feel effortless. Despite the long travel required to reach the reserve, every detail was thoughtfully arranged and everything went exactly according to plan. The safari fit perfectly into our South Africa itinerary.
The resort that was selected for us exceeded all expectations. It was incredibly luxurious while still feeling warm and personal. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. Every member of the team made the experience feel special and tailored to us.
The safari guides and staff were extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystem, which made every game drive both exciting and educational. We were fortunate enough to see an incredible variety of animals during our time in the reserve, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We are so grateful for the care and expertise that went into planning this trip. It was the perfect combination of adventure, luxury, and seamless logistics, and we would highly recommend both the trip planner and this experience to anyone considering a safari in South Africa.

A very restful, pleasant experience.
It was an awesome experience. The comunications between myself and Heleen Coetzee made it such a memorable one. On as more negative note, I have been coming to the Kruger for many, many years and it has mostly been a great visit but is marred by the staff at the main gates. If you are a day visitor, can't you find another way of booking in every day. How about just buying an entrance ticket for the period that you are going to be coming in and maybe just confirming your entrance at the main gate at security. There are long long ques and people get very itrritated by the slowness, in particular , at Crocodile Bridge and the staff are not at all efficient.
i had no experience because i had to cancel and couldnt go
i phoned one of the operators and tell her i have to cancell due to circumstances and she said to me that they cant refund me but what i can do is making another booking within one year and i must try to book outside school holidays. When i tried to make another booking they said that i didnt make a booking within a certain time and now i have lost my money. i talked to Pascal and he said he will come back to me but nothing happened , the lady said that i have one year to make another booking and not within a certain time. thanks for all the effort

Posted on Dec 8, 2015Dear Gerhard,
I'm so sorry to hear about your frustration around your booking.
As per your telephone discussion this morning with our agent Pascal, we will be making a full refund immediately.
The error slipped in as we received no alternative dates to make the follow-up booking and therefore entered into the no refund/cancellation period.
But it could have been avoided had we made a greater effort in pursuing you for the information.
My humblest apologies and I hope this gesture restore your trust in us.
Looking forward to helping you make any future experience a joy.
Kind regards,
Riaan Aggenbag

Tedious, since I continuously needed to follow up on my queries and bookings!
The tour that I had in mind, was booked as per request, except for one stay at Skukuza. The hosts that are present on the live chat need to make more effort to provide guidance and really find out what it is the customer wants on their trip. Overall, we were very happy with the suggestions and our bookings...however, there were one or two camps that didn't provide us with what we wanted. (Self-catering) wise...this is not a train smash, but it could have been avoided.

We are glad to hear you were happy with the suggestions. Feedback is what helps everyone improve and if you mail your consultants about exactly what was lacking at the self-catering camps we will pass the feedback along.
Thank you

Great lodging, good food, long van ride to actual lodge
Safari Bookings was very accommodating and worked around our schedule to provide the best safari experience in our time constraints. We had some issues with communication as we were unaware of the time it was recommended to land in Johannesbrg and we ended up having to cut the safari a day short because of it. There was a 6-7 hour drive from Jburg to the Reserve which we were also unaware of until we got in the van to make the trip at 7am. We would definitely do this again but I recommend flying into an airport closer to Kruger if you want to avoid two whole days of driving in the car to and from the reserve. The safari and Game Drives were amazing! We didn't see the leopard but the open air vehicles and guides were fantastic! The food at Thorn was delicious.

Fun Safari
Bjorn was very helpful with making our arrangements especially since we were on a tight schedule. There was a little miss communication about where they were supposed to pick us up, but it worked out after we called them. The 5-6 hr drive from JNB to Tremisana Lodge was very long in a crowded van. It was exciting to see all the animals on the night and morning game drives. We saw 4 of the Big five. The leopard escaped us. The accommodations were adequate and the food was ok. The staff was great! Overall, we really enjoyed our safari.
