Reliable, good safari
We were on a 5-day safari (mother and teenage daughter).
The first impression of BaboonBudget was good, Jemimah replies to all questions very fast, which was very reassuring for me. Easy and fast communication signals trusworthiness to me.
I also think we got a lot of value for money, even though other guests in the same tour were less happy with the lunch options while travelling. But keep in mind that this is a budget safari in Africa, you will eat Kenyan-style. We liked it. Accomodation was also fine.
Our driver, Titus was really, really good. He knew a lot and shared it with us, and did his best to keep all people in the jeep happy. A really good guide.
A few things that could be improved - to a neurotic European, seatbelts are important, and they were usually not working in the middle seat in the back.
Sometimes people had to change cars, because some were continuing to other parks and some wanted more time where we were. This could be a bit confusing.
Lastly, when going back to Nairobi, we went with three different drivers, and didnt know until the day before. We also had to leave our luggage in the hotel on the last day, and another driver picked it up, but we were not informed until it had happened. Things were under control surely, but it would have been nice to know what the plan was. This may just be a cultural difference though. We did get back to the right place and time, and had a great safari!

Thanks very much for our agent Jemimah, we booked a 11 days safari from Kenya to Tanzania on a affordable price, actually we’ve compared with other agencies, they very competitive price, and surprisingly it turned out a very good experience. Jemimah helped us customising our trip as we requested a specific hotel and made some changes to the itineraries accordingly. She also helped us dealing with it within minutes when there was unexpected issues with our Tanzania accommodation, which ensured a smooth journey. Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that the trip to maasai mara is not about convenience, its all about thrill, chase, adventure and experience which demands a co-operation, patience and flexibility. Prepare yourself to experience every moments throughtout the game drive for a adventurous trip. It is recommended to opt for minimum of 2 full days of game drive to maximize the probability of a spotting the Big 5 of Maasai Mara as we are in their natural habitat which is widespread for hundreds of miles across a hard and difficult terrain.

6-Day Budget Safari: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru – Amboseli
Overall, it was a very good experience. Patrick, our first guide, was amazing and very experienced, and Jemimah was supportive and responsive to every enquiry.
You’ll be joining different groups and guides depending on your itinerary. Keep in mind that some time may be spent waiting for others or dropping people off at specific locations.
It’s better and more convenient to pay for the tour in cash (USD). After that, you won’t need much cash for the rest of the trip, just enough for tips for the guide/driver, as well as small extras like water, snacks, or souvenirs
Accommodation and meals are basic but perfectly fine.
We stopped at Lake Naivasha (an extra $40 – $20 for the boat ride and $20 for the park walk), but personally, I didn’t find it really worth it.

Professional, punctual & responsive
The entire tour was handled with utmost professionalism & punctuality. The rates as offered were significantly economical than other tour operators, but need not worry, the operator is legit & the experience is at par. They also offer customisation, so highly recommend doing 1 group & 1 private safari. Overall, my association (although I was sceptical at first) with them has been amazing & the team has been really responsive to any queries / questions / help that one may have or require.
Masai Mara Experience 100/10 - extra marks because we not only saw big 5, but could also watch the Chettah hunt its prey live & devour it, all thanks to the safari driver.

Extremely professional, good communication, punctual, we highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I went with Baboon Safari on the recommendation of some friends of ours, as they had already done the programme with them and really enjoyed it - our experience was identical: they always arrived on time, kept in constant contact with us via WhatsApp and answered all our questions. We had only booked a 3-day safari, but we regretted not staying longer, because it was completely worth it! This experience was only possible thanks to our fantastic guide, Boni (the younger one): extremely professional, careful, and knowledgeable about the terrain and wildlife, we highly recommend him! For financial reasons, we chose the budget option and it was very peaceful. This option only has two drawbacks: 1 - sometimes we ran out of water and electricity (but Baboon quickly found a solution) and 2 - the food was quite repetitive and limited in choice. Overall, we really enjoyed it and hope to repeat it soon.

Amazing experience!
We were really glad choosing Baboon Safari because we could fully enjoy the safari trip. We booked the 2 day package Amboseli and it was better than expected. The Nyati camp was really clean and we liked the food, as well as the whole team there. Especially our tour guide and driver Daniel has a lot of experience, sense of humour and he respected all our wished and needs. The service, pick up and drop off was always on time, booking the trip was super easy and i could always be in touch with the Manager of the team in case I have any questions. The next day I decided to book another short safari at the National Park of Nairobi. Also here the service was great! I can totally recommend you the agency.

Great arrangement and organising team. Got the best guide who patiently showed us the Big Five. The company understood patiently what we were looking for and curated our trip accordingly.
