Mama Savana provides excellent value and service for a safari that you will love!
Mama Savana provided excellent service and value from start to finish. They responded very quickly to questions, regardless of time of day. They helped me plan the perfect itinerary, including an ending on the beach in Zanzibar after safari. The accommodations were as good as promised and in many cases even better due to a surprise upgrade. The food was consistently good to fantastic. Our wonderful guide, Allen, knew where and when to find the animals and got us so close I still cannot get over it. He taught us so much about the animals, local culture, language and music. He was a safe driver, knew the parks, and had a reliable car (hugely important). He helped us get to the best vantage point for taking photos. Everything about The entire experience was so much better than I could have asked for our imagined. Everyone at Mama Savana was professional, solicitous and just plain fun. I recommend unequivocally.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SAFARI IN KENYA AND TANZANIA
WOW! Can’t say enough how wonderful Mama Savana Safaris was to book with! My husband and I found the company on this website and the moment I began communication with Alex, the entire process was awesome. He told us everything we needed to do before hand and helped us along the way when we had inquiries. We had our guide Sammy take us around Kenya and Harun take us around Tanzania! The process of doing a covid19 rapid test across the border was quick and easy too. My favorite moments included seeing a large heard of giraffes at Lake Nakuru, seeing the two remaining northern white rhinos at Ol Pajeta, seeing the large property at Masai Mara, seeing the migration of wildebeest over the Mara River from the northern Serengeti side, seeing leopards hanging out in trees in the central Serengeti and just getting to know our guides in each country. They both were absolutely incredible and I HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGEST booking with this company. We also had Mustafa drive us our last day and he was incredibly helpful and kind too. It truly was a trip of a lifetime and I will forever be grateful for everything we experienced! We saw all of the big five and then some. Get ready for cheetahs, leopards, lions, elephant herds, different types of giraffes, hyenas…everything! Oh and if you love birds too, this is the trip for you! Fantastic safari experience!!!
An amazing trip organized by Mama Savana. Alex was very flexible while we considered several itineraries. He was very responsive and provided us all the solutions we could ask for. The safari experience was really amazing. Harun, was our guide in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. He showed remarkable dedication and made our exploration fantastic. There was no day, we didn’t enjoy observing the wild nature so close, thanks to his knowledge and experience. Harun was so helpful in all the aspects of our trip.
Very grateful to Mamasavana and their guide Harun. Highly recommended if you want to have a unique safari experience.

Wonderful safari in Tanzania
We have just returned from a wonderful five day safari in Tanzania (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara) organized by Tanke Tours in partnership with Mama Savana.
This trip was unforgettable, especially thanks to our guide Joseph, who works with the local operator Mama Savana based in Arusha. Joseph knows to perfection the territory, its fauna and flora. Always attentive to adults and children alike, it is a pleasure to share his passion.
All health precautions were taken during this stay.
We wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

Best week of my life!!!
Mama Savana is amazing company and I could highly recommend them!!! Starting from the beginning- there were only 20 days left till our journey to Tanzania (due to my business trips I was very busy whole the time) and Mama Savana provided us an offer during some hours after my first request. Alex was very responsive, provided me all the information in WhatsApp and via mails, he answered all my smart and not so smart questions and Mama Savana did all the best to make our week unforgettable.
When we arrived, I was little bit worried- how it will be to spend the whole week together with the guide, which is total stranger for me- but after some days Joseph (our guide) was not like our guide any more but he was more like our Tanzanian family member! So- special thanks to Joseph one more time!!!! Also, January is not a high-season but during our week Joseph shows us and we saw Big Five and other fantastic animals and their life happenings.
In general- I could highly recommend Mama Savana- it is really professional and great company and we definetly will be back next year.

Incredible Safari experience & journey of a lifetime
Summarising our experience directly in the beginning:
We had the best time we could have wished for during our 6 days Safari with Mama Savana.
Already before we arrived in Tanzania, Alex from Mama Savana took great care of us by answering organisational questions within minutes (no matter at what time we texted him) and helping us to transfer the deposit to the correct bank account (which went smoothly and without any „risk“).
Once we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport, a driver was waiting for us and brought us to a nearby lodge in Arusha where we spent a night to get rid of the Jetlag and to acclimatise. During the afternoon Alex visited us in person to say hello and tell us more about our upcoming Safari. We highly appreciated this personal warm welcome but the best was yet to come.
The next morning our guide Allen arrived and we started into the journey of our lifetime. Allen is the best guide and wonderful person due to many reasons: he is caring, funny, empathic, a really good driver, omniscient when it comes to wildlife and he treated us like members of his own family.
Our safari took us from Tarangire National Park where we enjoyed lunch surrounded by elephants to Lake Manyara, 2 nights and 3 incredible days in Serengeti (best & at the same time most exciting experience ever with lots of lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos and many more!) and into the impressive Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti and the Crater have been our highlights of the trip due to the fact that wildlife and landscape are multifaceted and game drive is extremely diversified.
We experienced food, accommodation, safety and hospitality at a very high level and can definitely say: we lost our hearts in Tanzania.
Thank you Mama Savana and especially Allen that you made our Safari so special - we would love to come back one day! Greetings from Germany :)

6 days Safari in North Tanzania
It all started with a search done on the internet and a short list of local agencies contacted by me for the best quotes. Because of an assiduous correspondence with Alex, who proved to be extremely courteous and available to offer a series of customized solutions, my wife and I decided to rely on Mamasavana for our safari in Tanzania, being also the most competitive for price and proposed solutions. Arriving in Arusha on December 29th we were immediately welcomed in the best way and taken to the hotel for the safari briefing. The next morning we left led by Allen to Tarangire park and then Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngogo Ngoro crater.
Needless to say, under the careful and expert guidance of Allen we were able to see not only all the Big Five and the main animals of the Savannah but also wonderful landscapes, incredible views and spending unforgettable moments in our research.
Thank you Mamasavana for this unforgettable experience, hoping to return soon, perhaps with the whole family.

Exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond and leaves longlasting memories
I'm not really sure where to begin, I couldn't have asked for better customer service from the moment we sent our initial request to post-safari check-in!
We had organised a last minute trip to tanzania giving Alex and the team less than 2 weeks to organise a 3 day safari tour and flights to suit our needs and budget. Needless to say it was a tough ask to get everything confirmed including accommodation availability with the upcoming christmas holidays but not only did they deliver they did everything with a smile also!
Alex was a great communicator and kept me in the loop at every turn (even when things were proving more difficult than initially thought), he gave us a number of options for different locations for tour and then gave us his honest and realistic recommendations about what to see to make most of our limited time.
We ended up visiting Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater on the 3 day tour in a private vehicle. Everything was smooth from pick up at Arusha airport by Mike (our tour guide) and his fellow colleague (sorry i forgot her name!), explaining the itinerary, answering any questions we had about the local culture, packing in as much as we could see in the time we had, clean vehicle, great accommodation, excellent picnic food for day trips, safe driving and comfort. I could go on and on about the great experience we had!
We managed to see 4 of the big 5 thanks to Mike's expert driving skills including 3 black rhinos! We were able to get close to so many animals and never felt we were in danger. I really believe it is so important to have the right tour guide and Mike was definitely that and so much more for us!
Special thank you again to Alex, Mike and the entire Mama Savana team! Your professionalism, kindness and willingness to give us memories for a lifetime was greatly appreciated. We were really sad when the tour came to an end and we had to say goodbye to Mike. We wish you all the best success and we will definitely see you next time we are in Tanzania!
For anyone who is tossing up whether or not to go with Mama Savana, I urge you not to hesitate and get in touch with them. My only regret is wasting so much time looking at different operators when I needn't have worried and Mama Savana were definitely the best ones for the job!

We get all the information we need . Nice people with much experience. Our guide spoke good English. He was a very kind person, always well disposed and punctual like a Swiss watch. All expectations were exceeded. The hotels were good but fastastic were all the camps and all their staff. We will Never forget this Safari . Thank You very much to all of you.
